I heard that Clark International Speedway was hosting the 2023 Petron Philippine MotorSport Championship this weekend so I ventured out there to see what it was. To my surprise it was Track Racing with multiple classes involved and 2 entries by Mark Savino of the Kandi Race Team Angeles City.
In addition to spectating some fantastic Car Racing, I also met some wonderful people at the track. The Kandi Race Team were very welcoming and allowed me to hang out and film, I met Race Driver and Team Owner Mark Savino and even had a chance to talk with Former World Strongest Man Bill Kazmaier.

Great video! It's always nice to see a little of what goes on beyond walking street. Soooo much more to the city. It's also nice to see someone show Mark and what he is really like. Too many expats give him a bum rap just because they are jealous of the lifestyle. AND the one and only Bill Kazmaier. My father and I used to watch him back in his competition days, bro was a beast. and the best part is i can wonder anywhere and not be hassled about VIP this or that; car enthusiasts like myself feel like a part of the place the teams the excitement 👍❤️ great track with options for any type of racing 😁
I'm surprised the nitro funny cars haven't caught on there yet. John Force and many of the US funny car teams used to visit Australia back in the 1970's for exhibition match races, before they became rich and famous. Joe Pierce went down one year with his funny car and he said they didn't have any trouble finding promoters or sponsors to pick up the tab.

Hi Chubs! Love this content. Is the speedway located on the grounds of Clark AB? I was stationed there in the late 80’s and have been trying to figure out where that would be.

yes they were stationed at different locations around the track and there is an emergency clinic on premise 👍
