I found it interesting about the hair coat as it reminded me of John the Baptist & then just after thinking that the devotion turned to John the Baptist. I never thought about how many things happened at the Jordan River before. I just always associated it with John baptizing Jesus in it.
When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied. 2 Kings 2:9 NIV
I thought when Elisha asked "where is the LORD god of Elijah?" That he was asking God to validate his ministry . And or to comfort him in his loss and encourage him on his way into his new position. But your POV is pretty interesting .👍👍
