@@JazzMaster01 youre right BUT imagine youre in this universe and you want to have a lightsaber and feel the force but you cannot be a jedi because you need training and everyhing else but there is another chance as a dark side to be kind of free of any codex and just be how you are. If i had a chance I would take it!
Apparently the stranger's/master's/Qimir's helmet and brace/band around his left arm is made of a very rare material that is called cortosis. It can deflect blaster fire, stun rings, and lightsaber strikes, and can temporarily negate/short out lightsabers if it touches/hits the emitter of the lightsaber blade. However, it is fibrous and much more brittle compared to Beskar armor, because with repeated strikes, a lightsaber can still cut through it 🤔.
Sol feeling a familiarity with Qimir probably does have bigger meaning, but I figured Yord's reaction was simply because of the earlier interaction in the shop. And Qimir knows it's not Mae - he saw the tattoo. Same as I'm pretty sure Sol knows it is Mae, given his little "Where is she?" "Who?" "Your sister" interaction.
Ah this episode was a game changer thanks to the incredible lightsaber battle and the bread crumbs dropped by Qimir. Qimir seriously is the breakout character throughout every episode he has appeared in so far. Also the armor he wore can also short circuit the lightsaber and it's called Cortosis metal.
16:45 Not necessarily a plot hole, people have different reactions to stuns depending on their durability. Remember when we saw Ahsoka train to block blaster fire and she built a resistance to stuns?
To be fair he DIDNT flat out say he was a sith, he said he has no name but a jedi like sol would CALL him sith. That seems very intebtionally worded, they also played kylo rens motif for him twice. I think hes gonna turn out to be the first Ren, ot a sith
While the reveal wasn’t really a shock I like how they did it. The only questions I have now: 1. What happened during the fire 2. What’s Sol hiding and what’s his relationship with the Sith 3. What’s going to happen to Mae and Osha
Pretty sure Qimir knows he has Osha. Like Dustin mentioned, she has short hair, she has a wound in her side and has a tattoo on her arm that Mae doesn’t which he got a clear look at.
also, he healed her. if it was mae, he would have killed her while she was knocked out. he didnt want mae as an acolyte anymore. he definitely knows it's osha.
Dustin its Jecki not Jackie..put some respect on her name!! Also the Rashomon is for what happened on Brendok Plus they never said how long the stun lasts And another thing (this comment is getting edited alot) he said "You jedi would call me Sith" never "I'm a Sith"
I was also thinking that there was some deeper history between Yord, Sol, and Qimir, but they would have recognized him before when they were tracking Mae. They all interrogated him together, so that may be the familiarity that they had.
I was gonna say, they already met and questioned him when they were looking for Mae so that's where they know him from. They didn't act like they knew him at that point when they first found him.
16:49 "You never could block." --Mae I don't know how you'd block a blast, but apparently it can be done. 18:50 Sol spends the whole series calling Osha by her name to only ask, "where is she. Your sister?" Sol knows this is Mae. He chose these words to throw Mae and the audience off. He came to get Mae, wasn't going to lose the opportunity she presented him. How is this going to play out? Mother Aniseya and Mother Koril wanted Osha and Mae to stay together because the two need each other, they complete each other; they are two sides of the same coin: "You're with me, I'm with you Always one, but born as two As above sits the stars, and below lies the sea, I give you you, and you give me me" --Mae and Osha They never got to finish their training, but now they get that chance. Qimir has taken Osha and he's going to show her the Dark Side, which is her coven's witchcraft, the side she rejected 16 years ago. Sol has Mae, and Mae is going to see a different perspective, the Light Side of the Force. The next three episodes should be interesting. We still have one more flashback with Kelnacca fighting someone on Brendok. And Master Vernestra using her whip lightsaber. Can't wait!
Qimir even asked Mae why she didn't suspect him. He knew it was obvious too. I don't mind that. The real mystery is what happened on Brendok. It's probably not going to show Sol in a good light.
Also- the Kylo Ren theme underneath that last scene with Qimir. Could be a Knights of Ren origin/connection there (and play into the "I have no name [for what I am]"-type angle), instead of a straight-out Sith (especially if Qimir is a rival apprentice to Plagueis- and would fit into the theme of a splinter order/rogue Jedi already suggested in the series, which would further murky the water in terms of the Jedi believing that the Sith could return a century later). With Sol's darkness, being so tormented by his emotions this whole show.... could Sol actually end up becoming the Acolyte? A fallen Sol would be so tragic- but would also wrap up the biggest "if Qimir is a Sith, then how did Sol not tell the Jedi" question outside of the sisters.
It would reveal maby why so mand "sith" are sith but do not follow any sith codex and are just pretty much training themselfes and doing whatever they want.
It's not just a Sith who could potentially fight a group of Jedi like this. Any strong Dark Side Force User could if they are a strong lightsaber duelist and strong enough in the Force. Even the Jedi vary wildly in how good they are with a lightsaber. Hell, General Grievous could take on multiple Jedi and kill them without even having the Force. Also, remember that Ahsoka was a Padawan when she fought Grievous, and wasn't even a Jedi when she defeated Maul, and Obi-Wan was a Padawan when he beat Maul. So being a Padawan doesn't mean you can't hold your own. Qimir didn't actually say he was a Sith. He only said that a Jedi like Sol might call him a Sith. He might be something else. And his reveal of being Qimir, isn't for us, it's for the other characters. Lastly, stun weapons usually only knock out an individual for a few minutes, although some could stay knocked out for up to an hour. So Mae getting up so quickly is not a plot hole.
Win it/The Stranger didn’t say he is a Sith. He said the Jedi would call him a Sith but he didn’t call himself a Sith. A lot of reactors assume he said he is a Sith but he never did. I believe Qimir/The Stranger might be the founder of the Knights of Ren.
Considering how obvious the reveal was, I'm assuming there's more to the mystery. A show rarely puts all of its cards on the table in episode 5 of 8. My theory is that the Sith that Mae encountered, there's two of them. There's a second one and they pulled a Scream on our asses. My guesses are that either Indira or Mother Korril are involved.
Qimir didn't leave the lightsaber behind. It got carried up with him when he got briefly abducted by the umbramoths. Also, it seemed pretty clear that Sol, upon reviving from the stun, was a bit unsettled and confused -- and maybe Mae used a little bit of Force suggestion on him to encourage him to immediately depart? As for leaving the bodies behind... come on. Not everyone is at Yoda, Anakin, Luke, or Rey power levels. Most Jedi probably can't easily hoist a whole body and carry it for literal HOURS, let alone seven or eight of them, and knowing that the bad guy is still around would definitely be a reason to get the hell out of the jungle ASAP.
Mae is either gonna kill Sol or like completely discredit him and erase evidence this episode gave me Darth Bane trilogy vibes especially the second book where a group of jedi discovered that Darth Bane was still alive with his apprentice and they killed all the jedi and put the blame on someone else
@marshsundeen good theory but I was thinking of Sol like Mae as Osha tells everyone that he suddenly snapped and killed everyone that way when he tries to tells the jedi about the sith nobody believes him treachery is the way of the sith
This looks likes the origins of the Knights of Ren, not Sith, if you ask me. The Sith already have a long lineage of masters and apprentices going back a long time, probably back to when they were a race and in large numbers. The Knights of Ren are a more recent version of forcer-users that also will use the dark side.

He did emphasize that ambiguity- though he also did say that the Jedi say he shouldn't exist. Whether that is just playing into the "Jedi makes the rules" or "what a Jedi thinks I am" persecution ambiguities, or actually into the hidden Sith, it's hard to say yet.
Not really anything to do with coping. It’s literally what he said. I can Google the script for you, if you find it easier to understand in written form.
Finally been waiting for your guys reaction. I’ve been calling him Darth Zipperface. I’m still trying to come to terms with Jecki and Yord. It’s heartbreaking. Loved the Sith though I’m curious how they’ll continue after this.
I think it’s a great representation of a sith from that era. He’s young. I thought he was probably an apprentice the current Sith Lord at that time but now I’m not sure. It would make sense if he had just killed his master and is seeking an apprentice. Also because he’d be feeling especially powerful and confident at that time.
They intentionally laid the ground for Qimir to be the Sith from the start. If things aren't setup viewers get upset it's some rando out of nowhere. If things are setup viewers are upset it wasn't a surprise rando.
I can't wait to see Kelnacca with black eyes under witch control in a flashback in Episode 7 (IMDb) fighting Torbin and Sol!❤ I think Sol will recognize Mae. She may be able to hide her mark on her forehead, but she doesn't have a tattoo on her arm like Osha🤣 Very interesting how Qimir proved that it is possible to kill a Jedi without a weapon and without Jedi rules. It's very ironic that he killed Yord, the Jedi who lived strictly by the rules! I found the Kylo Ren Theme, which played when Qimir found Osha at the end, interesting. Maybe he was the first Knight of Ren? Greetings from Germany😊
Not sure if he is officially a Sith though. He just said the Jedi could refer to him as one since he has darkness in him. I wonder if he has a master that may show up?
Ok this was my favorite episode so much action and intensity I'm just gonna call him Manny as well haha but Manny is jacked what the heck Darth zipper is way to powerful, and SOL WHAT ARE YOU HIDING. Also forgot to mention the lightsaber fights were awesome including hand to hand
the helmet could be either made from Mandalorian Beskar or that other element, Cortosis. Cortosis/Cortosis-Weave can withstand the blows of energy sabers and can actually temporarily short a lightsaber
Well Ki-Adi doesn't know still that Qimir is involved let alone a Sith, but the whole point of that character is that he's wrong about everything, he was wrong about the siths extinction, he was also wrong about Dooku not being a murder
Although it's Qimir and it seemed obvious...it was SO well done that I don't care. Heck, that's not the main mystery of the show anyway. What happened 16 years ago is.
I do think Qimir's taunting of Mae "You really didn't know it was me, not even a little bit?" is more a touch on the fact the audience saw it was obvious and the fact Mae didnt see it was quite telling
Hey guys, Great reaction 😁, loving this episode, it's what we've been looking for!! Sith have returned, to bad everyone has to die! Or at the very least maybe one served an kept the secret, because they (Jedi) thought the Sith were gone for over 1000 yrs. And to bring Cortosis, from the comics is brilliant, ( his helmet an other parts he wore short circuits lightsabers when touched by them.. very Cool 😎. Keep it up ❤ Lv ya mean it ❤️
The show is very simplistic, and it feels like a cartoon for children. It is enjoyable, but it feels like it's not elaborated or thought through for adults to enjoy (like Andor). But, well.... I think Yord recognized Qimir from when they met in episode 2, and maybe that's also where Qimir thinks Sol could have recognized him from. But Idk. Qimir doesn't say he is a Sith... He says: "Jedi like you would call me Sith". As the show is so simplistic, though, that's probably what he is. I'm sad about Jekki and Yord. They were cool. 🫤😭 Especially her.
Ki-Adi doesn't know yet. He knows someone is killing Jedi, but not that a Sith is involved. Only the ones involved in the fight know. Who knows if that information will actually get out. I also don't like that people are agreeing that Sol is responsible for Jecki's death because he brought her. Let's totally forget the fact that Qimir stabbed her 3 times and is the whole reason they're there in the first place. Yes, she's a child, but she proved she was more than capable. I know she died, but lots of Jedi died in the battle.
He didn’t say he was a Sith, he said he had no name, but the Jedi might call him a Sith. Yord recognized him because they interrogated him in episode 2
I don't think Qimir is a Sith. He just said that the Jedi would call him that. I believe he was a Padawan who left the Order and discovered the Darkside on his own. But he wants to become a Sith. Remember, the Sith are always in pairs - a master and a student. That's why Qimir wants to have a student. He probably thinks this is how he becomes a real Sith.
Yellow sabers are temple guards that’s why they got killed easily but also he’s not Sith lord because even the Sith don’t allow the hidden blade and they don’t allow their followers to disengage their blade and engage it to kill somebody

Also the armor he wore can also short circuit the lightsaber and it's called Cortosis metal.
everyone's like "go x-23" with jecki, while i'm like "go lyra silvertongue" xD
Thank you!!
So his helmet and gauntlet are made of cortosis, its a brittle metal that can disrupt lightsabers and blasters
While the reveal wasn’t really a shock I like how they did it. The only questions I have now:
1. What happened during the fire
2. What’s Sol hiding and what’s his relationship with the Sith
3. What’s going to happen to Mae and Osha
Darth Swoll said the Jedi would refer to him as a Sith, but he never said he was one
Darth Swoll!!
Or Smilo Ren
🐐
I think also these are peacetime Jedi, with very little practical fighting experience. Victims of their own success.
qimir's lines were so cold!
manny cooked with his performance!
WOW this show went from MID but interesting for the new Lore to HOLY HELL this is Incredible!!! AAAhhhh
Yord recognized him from the apothacary shop in ep 2
Oh that's right!
He is the Apprentice, the master is yet to come.....
I just love the way Qimir fights
Dustin its Jecki not Jackie..put some respect on her name!!
Also the Rashomon is for what happened on Brendok
Plus they never said how long the stun lasts
And another thing (this comment is getting edited alot) he said "You jedi would call me Sith" never "I'm a Sith"
16:49
"You never could block."
--Mae
I don't know how you'd block a blast, but apparently it can be done.
Mother Aniseya and Mother Koril wanted Osha and Mae to stay together because the two need each other, they complete each other; they are two sides of the same coin:
"You're with me, I'm with you
Always one, but born as two
As above sits the stars, and below lies the sea,
I give you you, and you give me me"
--Mae and Osha
They never got to finish their training, but now they get that chance.
Some of, if not the best, lightsaber fights in Star Wars history!!!!! Holy Moly 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh, almost forgot, he never said he was Sith, he said the Jedi would call him Sith. So we will have to see, can't wait 😎 ✌️
It would reveal maby why so mand "sith" are sith but do not follow any sith codex and are just pretty much training themselfes and doing whatever they want.
Dead men tell no tales.
Yord recognized him from when he was posing as the apothecary.
Why does every ‘loose end’ have to be closed? How about some mystery
I believe Qimir/The Stranger might be the founder of the Knights of Ren.
i think so too. he even dresses like a knight of ren so maybe he is the founder. also...kylo's music.
I like the lightsaber combat. Pure strategics and pretty much just overwhelming the enemy
Kelnacca might get blamed.
@marshsundeen good theory but I was thinking of Sol like Mae as Osha tells everyone that he suddenly snapped and killed everyone that way when he tries to tells the jedi about the sith nobody believes him treachery is the way of the sith
I have been eagerly awaiting THIS!!🍿☺️
This looks likes the origins of the Knights of Ren, not Sith, if you ask me. The Sith already have a long lineage of masters and apprentices going back a long time, probably back to when they were a race and in large numbers. The Knights of Ren are a more recent version of forcer-users that also will use the dark side.
Reaction highlights 😂 :
9:37 Wendy: "Use the Force!!! ...OK, or headbutt."
12:54 Wendy: "Stop writing the show!" Dustin: "Sorry!"
13:08 Wendy: "He was hiding all those muscles." [silently fans self]
19:00 Dustin: "Let's... collect the dead?" Wendy: "Take the helmet back for proof...? We''re not gonna do any of that."
Another name I've heard for the masked one was "Darth Toothius". 😜
Actually he said he had no name but the Jedi might call him sith... could just be a dark side force user.
Enough with this cope. Leslye Headland, the showrunner, has confirmed in interviews that Qimir/The Stranger is a Sith.
@@firstlast-wm3li OK, what's "cope"? I purposely didn't watch any interviews with the cast or creators. Maybe that's why I am not hating on the show as much as other people are.
@@jeffcummins8639I'm not hating either. It's not perfect. The writing is terrible, but I can appreciate some good things once in a while. Also, he's a Sith.
Mae blocked the stun shot with her arm, so presumably it softened the blow, while Sol got hit straight on.
I also think it’s possible he’s the second apprentice of a sith master, who is preparing for one be defeated possibly at the hands of the other.
They intentionally laid the ground for Qimir to be the Sith from the start. If things aren't setup viewers get upset it's some rando out of nowhere. If things are setup viewers are upset it wasn't a surprise rando.
I can't wait to see Kelnacca with black eyes under witch control in a flashback in Episode 7 (IMDb) fighting Torbin and Sol!❤
I think Sol will recognize Mae.
Did you like the bad guy getting away via giant bug attack?
@@TheRealBlackarrot it was 😎
the helmet could be either made from Mandalorian Beskar or that other element, Cortosis. Cortosis/Cortosis-Weave can withstand the blows of energy sabers and can actually temporarily short a lightsaber
This is getting better and better
They recognized him because they literally met him in episode 2. Great reaction by the way
oops, yep. thanks for the reminder 😅
Best saber choreography since Obi-wan vs Anakin
Kylo Grin. Darth Swole. Darth Teef. Smylo Ren. Zippy the Sith-head. Twisted Sithster.
they came out with a statement saying hes a sith lord, and him saying he wants a "pupil" clearly rule of two for the sith code.
Are you forgetting that Ahsoka trained to be able to recover more quickly from stunners? Perhaps Mae did that, too.
They really did Naruto's Obito twist In this , they made "Quaimir" wear more backy clothes to hide his "guns" (muscles)😏
Well Ki-Adi doesn't know still that Qimir is involved let alone a Sith, but the whole point of that character is that he's wrong about everything, he was wrong about the siths extinction, he was also wrong about Dooku not being a murder
And brought up the droid attack on the Wookies. Causing yoda to leave the temple undefended.
Although it's Qimir and it seemed obvious...it was SO well done that I don't care. Heck, that's not the main mystery of the show anyway. What happened 16 years ago is.
I do think Qimir's taunting of Mae "You really didn't know it was me, not even a little bit?" is more a touch on the fact the audience saw it was obvious and the fact Mae didnt see it was quite telling
i still think Qimir is an apprentice to the real Sith Lord cause who taught him ???
Woop good Star Wars via The Acolyte on D+ 😋
NOBODY out of the reactors caught the Kylo REN theme haha good stuff
Hey guys, Great reaction 😁, loving this episode, it's what we've been looking for!! Sith have returned, to bad everyone has to die! Or at the very least maybe one served an kept the secret, because they (Jedi) thought the Sith were gone for over 1000 yrs. And to bring Cortosis, from the comics is brilliant, ( his helmet an other parts he wore short circuits lightsabers when touched by them.. very Cool 😎. Keep it up ❤ Lv ya mean it ❤️
Might mean nothing? The actress, Margarita Levieva who plays Mother Koril is the 4th Lead in Daredevil Born Again
Am now wondering if the season will end with Osha learning about what Sol did and she becomes the acolyte.
Everyone in chat "but... HE NEVER SAID HE WAS A SITH" 😂😂😂😂
I don't want to be wrong because I don't remember the conversation with Anakin well but even Palpatine never told anyone he was a Sith
He’s not a Sith. He says the Jedi would call him that.
@@jinxie712 I would agree, but Lucasfilm is officially saying he is a Sith now. Watch New Rockstars' breakdown. The showrunner confirmed it.
@@jinxie712Wrong.
Yord and Sol spoke to Qimir at the apothecaries.
Well, technically he never called himself a Sith. He said “they (the Jedi) would call him Sith”.
Keep in mind like in episode 3 the Sith already knew it was osha when she was trying to pretend she was her sister
Those arms though....
😮
In the beginning, Sith came first before Jedi was established during the Old Republic. Somehow, one sith created the Jedi order.
Jedi give people labels. This villian has no label. He just is.
Plus, they all met Qimir in the shop when they sent Osha in to talk to him.
He didn’t say im a sith.he said a Jedi like you might call me sith 🤦♂️
He didn’t say he was a Sith, he said he had no name, but the Jedi might call him a Sith. Yord recognized him because they interrogated him in episode 2
Qimir
How does it works that all complementary reviews on starwars s5 uploaded within an hour three days after show comes out?
I don't understand this comment?
NUTS!!!! 🔥🔥🤯🤯
Amazing episode. 👍🏾👍🏾
The way Yord was killed was not super TV-14.
Beskar helmet 🪖 stops Jedi lightsabers and mind tricks…..right?
He was the "Sol" survivor :(
Yellow sabers are temple guards that’s why they got killed easily but also he’s not Sith lord because even the Sith don’t allow the hidden blade and they don’t allow their followers to disengage their blade and engage it to kill somebody
he fights like a knight of ren, including the engage / disengage method and unarmed combat if needed. maybe he is the founder of the knights that the comic on them hinted about.
people don't you see that smili knightv9f ren but main sith is Master Sol
