I loved how Hoffman immediately tried to grab the saw, he was ready to saw off his own leg, you gotta give him props for that. I think this was a very fitting way to end his arc, his journey started with his vengeance for his sister's killer, and ended with his vengeance for Jill. Hoffman's own inability to never make anything personal is what got him killed. Great reaction as always :) EDIT: Also if you noticed, The last person John thought about in his last moments was Jill, and the last thing Jill thought about as she died was John :( just goes to show the one thing that never changed was there love for one another
@@VelantegJill had a reason to kill Hoffman. It was John’s request. He left a envelope with Hoffmann picture for her. John even left a recording telling Hoffman “you think you will walk away untested?” So he should’ve known he would’ve been put in a test
Well, you didn't get to see Hoffman die. The original sequel to 7 was meant to be a cat and mouse game between the doctor and Hoffman after his escape from the bathroom. I really still want that sequel, but i guess we will never get it.
This is my favourite twist ending in the whole franchise, because this was supposed to be "The Final Chapter" they had to wrap everything up, and they did that perfectly, it makes perfect sense that Dr Lawrence Gordon was involved all along, because while John Kramer was a fantastic engineer and had a huge IQ, he wasn't a surgeon, so it had to be Gordon who performed all of the surgeries Jigsaw need to be done.
@@funnylilgalreacts when it comes to Mark Hoffman, I'm both hoping he is alive because he was such a good villain so I'd love to see him again, but I also don't want him to come back, because if he survived, that would mean John Kramers final plan didn't work.
It's amazing how early on they planted seeds about Gordon helping Jigsaw if you pay attention. True story, some friends and I were going to go see 7 in theaters (like several of us had done with every movie since 3). One of the friends who agreed to go see it had not seen any of the others before so we all decided to get together to do a marathon in the week before release. By that time we had already seen in trailers that Dr Gordon was coming back and we were wondering how his story would tie in to the greater picture. When we got to the beginning of Saw II, during the opening scene with the guy with the key in his eye, the TV briefly shows a hooded man surgically placing the key. If you pay attention you can see the hooded man limping like he had a bad (or prosthetic) leg. That was the first time I had noticed, I got so excited I had to pull my other friends who were caught up outside to tell them and it gave me even more appreciation for these movies than I already had!
I remember seeing a fan theory back before the 6th one came out that said dr Gordon was a jigsaw accomplice and a lot of tye evidence of their theory were used in this one to show him helping all along! Some ppl really had it figured out
Honestly John was such a smart and planned so well as a villain. A big part of his smarts was how he could read people super easily, predict what they would do in his traps and knew exactly how to push them.
Something else I thought of that Gordon MUST'VE been involved with is that trap where those two older adults were 'posted' together. Surely, nobody but a doctor could make those insertions correctly, knowing the desired outcome when pulled.
Love your reactions and can’t wait for what you think about Jigsaw and Spiral. The three pigs were Dr Gordon and the other two was Brad and Ryan the guys who killed their girlfriend with the saw at the beginning. That game was set up as Gordon’s first game as a jigsaw accomplice the scene which featured him and John in the crowd was cut out of the movie. This was also intended to be two parts but where the sixth entry brought less money back they sandwich two movies in 90mins. Gordon originally was suppose to oppose Jigsaw after his family was in danger but the producers made him a new apprentice. I saw this in theaters where I was 16 even though I still love it, it kinda shortchanged it’s fans. But Hoffman is definitely the highlight in the second trilogy. Can’t wait for your future reactions! Keep up the great work!
I feel like there was a payoff with this one. Getting a conclusion for Dr Gordon, Hoffman being trapped for once…. It had a nice enough bow on it. I wonder what the two movies would’ve looked like! I’m so intrigued! Thank you for watching my reactions. I have so much fun watching the movie. It’s the only time I’m not looking at my phone or getting distracted by life, I get to be immersed in it. I’m so happy others enjoy them too 😊
@@funnylilgalreacts very happy to hear they immerse you away from life. It’s chaos out there nowadays. I remember having your reaction to the end twist. I clapped in theaters and everyone including my friend looked at me 😅 yeah the ending was definitely best served. I’m curious what you will think of the next 2 movies. Go in knowing that they are pretty distant from the horror soap opera the other 7 films set up but it’s still in the same story as those films so everything is canon. And you’re welcome!
John is so essential to these movies. I couldn’t imagine it done any other way. I’m normally not a fan of flashbacks, I feel it’s to convenient to fix a plot hole or set up a future storyline. But in this instance it didn’t feel like that. It felt right.
Hmm, given how Hoffman enjoys pain and violence while John doesn't, I wonder if maybe John's original design for the trap involved burning Bobby while sparing Joyce but Hoffman changed the design out of sadism. remember, Hoff modified every single thing Kramer's make after his initial death.
Weird niche knowledge time: 1. You can 100% support an average person (100-200 pounds) by two flesh hooks. Its done in various spiritual rituals and by body mod people every day. 2. Hook piercings dont bleed at all when you first insert them. Its surprisingly clean. They will bleed when you put weight on it and they will bleed when you take them out.
One big mistake they made with this was bringing in a new detective to be the main cop, and creating a false history with Hoffman. Why not have Detective Fisk as the lead? He was the last of the main detectives left alive from the original series, and was already shown to have history with Hoffman, it would have been a lot more impactful to have Hoffman face of with his long time friend who we already know.
i've decided to watch your 7 reactions in a row now that the originals are done. It's kinda funny seeing you say "i don't wanna watch this" knowing how you've grown to love them, i wonder what your coments on SAW 1 would be in a rewatch. I remember fondly when in my old laptop i had the 7 films downloaded to watch when i wanted as a series xD
Thank you for watching them! I’ve actually had to re-watch my reaction to Saw a few times because of copyright editing issues… I’ll say this, I had no idea what I was in for and at the end I said I probably wouldn’t rewatch it because the power of the twist wouldn’t be there. I was wrong! I was giddy to watch it again!
Your reactions to the saw franchise gave me something to watch on a bad insomnia night! Thank you so far to this point they've been great! Well now on to your Jigsaw and Spiral reactions i go! Thanks again! Keep up the great work. You may wanna check out the orginal Candyman and then the new one. :-)
Thank you so much but also I’m happy you found me when you needed something to get you through your insomnia! I have seen the original Candyman but not the newest one! It’s also been 20+years since I watched the original… it was that good at scaring me
it's easy to get attached to the characters, they do make them relateable to some extent so we feel that way. but if you look at it in another way, Jill was not innocent in this franchise. unjust death but many of the characters ended up that way.. 😢
I was pretty meh until I purchased part 5 on a lark and thought it was an incredible way to jumpstart the "Hoffgod" era, and then part 6&7 perfectly played into the shift of the Jigsaw mantle from the moralistic tests of Kramer to the opportunistic murder of a dirty cop. The movies shift from a psychological thriller to a slasher movie with a phycological thriller veneer. Once you accept that Hoffman is a completely different Jigsaw who's no longer trying to teach lessons, but instead just trying to cover his tracks, you can appreciate how dang good Hoffman is at what he does. One of the best serial killers ever, who learned from a master.
I think that’s the reason it took me a while to come around to Hoffman, he wasn’t John and didn’t have his morals. As twisted as that sounds, John still had reasons that were okay by me (although unreasonable in the real world) and Hoffman was a straight up murderer. “Hoffgod” lol. I’m gonna call him “Hoffdaddy” from here on out 🤣🤣
Hoffmans character progression is amazing. He was a good hardworking cop, who turned into a depressed loner after his sister was murdered. He was blackmailed into becoming a Jigsaw apprentice, then became a loyal apprentice that followed all the rules. John taught him to detach from his emotions, which was supposed to enlighten him and prepare him to take over John's work, but it instead turned him into a psychpath incapable of empathy. After his face was disfigured, and identity exposed, he just went insane and became a lunatic slasher. John turned him into that monster.
The story is a bit all over the place because they condensed Saw VII and Saw VIII into one film due to Saw VI underperforming financially. You can find parts of the original scripts online, but some of the differences I can remember were Bobbys wife being in on his lies, hence her trap. Dr Gordon recruiting a large group of apprentices from the survival group, who all kidnap Hoffman together. Flashbacks to new traps that Dr Gordon and John did together around the events of Saw 2, the opening trap was intended to be one of these. New flashback footage of John and Jill, including a their wedding. All of Amanda's scenes were cut out too. There's plenty more I just can't remember it all. The next one in particular is pretty bad, so don't go in with high hopes.
The last time I got a tooth pulled, it was in the back on the bottom. It took 3 hours. They had to cancel the rest of the appts for the day, they had to stop 2 or 3 times to numb my mouth, and I could hear the tooth/bone/whatever cracking. It came out in 3 pieces. I will never forget that sound lol. Nightmare!
Something tells me that Hoffman survived the bathroom trap. We can say what we want about him but he has extremely strong survival skills. I hope Saw X will answer some questions
"pulling teeth is super easy!" my "wisdom" teeth have to probably be removed soon, hearing how the process is actually super easy actually relieved a bit of stress I had. wasn't expecting to get that in a Saw reaction video!
Lol, if I see anything tooth related, I zero in and make sure it’s correct! Wisdom teeth are a breeze! Even better if you get knocked out and wake up and they’re gone 😬 Rinse with warm salt water, don’t drink through straws, avoid spicy foods and alcohol, and no hydrogen peroxide! You’ll be better in no time!
11:50 I follow the FX ppl who worked on the gore in this movie, one member said the tire spinning on the girls face leaving black skid marks is the one thing that's disturbed her / stuck with her working on these films
The next two saw movies Jigsaw and Spiral are gonna be very different. Jigsaw is sort of a continuation of the main story and Spiral is a complete spinoff movie not connected to the main storyline. That’s all I’ll say lol.
Finally made it to the end! Way to go! So in response to your "Justice for Adam", there is a bit more of a reason as to why Amanda killed Adam and that is shown in the Director's Cut of Saw III which is the third cut of the third movie (lol). Not to be confused with the Unrated Cut, is only available on DVD (not Blu-ray sadly unless you buy the France release), and is 17 minutes longer than the theatrical cut you watched. It adds in a scene that shows Amanda having a nightmare about Adam after he had been locked in there which (in my theory at least) shows that Amanda was being haunted by what she had done with taking Adam in to die and figured the only way to stop the nightmares and guilt was to kill him and put him out of his misery. As for the 3D, yes absolutely I noticed that the blood was magenta the first time as well when I watched it on my old 4:3 television. However I thankfully bought the Blu-ray 3D version of the movie so when I finally popped it in the 3D TV I finally got the see the color of the blood the way it was meant to be and it wasn't magenta anymore. This movie was sadly the worst received of the franchise and I would say for good reason. The story with Bobby Dagen felt very weak for me, especially since every single one of his accomplices died but I'm pretty sure the thing that made up for it for all the audiences was the ending where it all came together and it all came full circle and ended with the bathroom and knowing that Hoffman will be the first actual victim to the bathroom who will starve and die of dehydration unlike poor Adam who I guess was shown more mercy by being killed sooner rather than later. The reason for the story actually being pretty bad was mainly because of the producers and what they did to the director. From what I've read, the director was supposed to direct another movie due for Halloween called Paranormal Activity 2; but Lionsgate didn't want that so they contractually obligated Greutert to direct Saw 7. There's rumors that he intentionally made the movie bad as a middle finger to Lionsgate for pulling one over on him so that might be the main reason. Fun Fact: Doctor Gordon was supposed to be revealed in Saw 2 but there wasn't enough budget to hire him on. The reason you can tell it's him is because of the hobble that the hooded figure (who inserted the key behind the eye) has when he walks over to the body. I actually got to experience these movies the same way you did, however I would not be able to with the time that I had to wait for Jigsaw and Spiral to come out. That was just freaking exciting to be seeing the trailers and getting excited to go watch them in IMAX when they were being released. Because I had to wait 6 years before Jigsaw came out and then 4 more for Spiral. Both of which I enjoyed. I'm so glad to be subscribed to you and as an empath, I knew I would be a subscriber and fan of your reactions as soon as I heard you softly say: "Don't close the door" when Kramer was walking out of the bathroom all the way back in the first movie. :) Can't wait to see your next reactions and much love. R.I.P. Chester Bennington.
Thank you so much for this. I appreciate you. I'm with Amanda, I woke up thinking about Adam the next morning after watching it the first time. I remember stating "I don't care about any of these people" and that was a horrible lie, lol. Mercy was a gift, but I wish that was explained better in the original cut. It's a bummer that there were so many production issues. These movies have so much potential to expand. But I do think they have been pretty perfect so far. Yes, flaws here and there, but overall, SUCH AN AMAZING FRANCHISE. I saw the trailer for Spiral and already new in was a Saw movie without ever seeing them. I think I'm going to like Jigsaw and Spiral because if that fact lol I'm such an emotional person so I hope if there are movies that allow me to show more of that side, you'll appreciate them as well.
I think the reason why Hoffman had previously said he didn't need to be tested was because he already knew how far he'd go to stay alive. As much as you dislike him for how brutal he is, he is probably the strongest character with the will to survive (and wasn't afraid of taking risks). The ending where he was ready to grab the saw to escape is just another proof of that. Knowing this, it probably isn't impossible for him to find a way to escape, but Lawrence probably locked the door so he couldn't escape the room. He got what he deserved. An unwinable test.
The 7th was a mix of 2 part of storyline which is SAW 7&8.. 7th supposed to be the game now became 'public execution'.. and Hoffman became wild and wanted by police.. The were rumors back then said.. By SAW 8.. there were lots of dead body and chaotic everywhere.. and the reveal of the ultimate JIGSAW killer which is the "Doctor".. By SAW 9.. people were fascinated with John "JIGSAW" Kramer and his ideology spread.. And SAW 10 or 'SAW X' they wanna titled it as "LEGACY".. Sadly due to SAW 5.. ratings going low..
Just found your channel and been catching up on your saw and marvel reactions!! Keep up the great work 💯 My personal theory about the three pigs at the end, I feel as if it was Dr Gordon obviously, but what about....Eric Mathew''s SON Daniel!!! 🤯 Who everyone always forgets about being a survivor of a trap/game..coming out of the safe from that house..the other two pigs seemed smaller than Dr Gordon so I have to assume they are either younger, or female. Hoffman's son would fit PERFECTLY.
The guy that played Cale, the nuse guy, is in Wrong Turn 4 and the guy that played Matt, the main cop, is in Final Destination. I highly recommend reacting to those they're also must watch horror franchises of the 00s. Although only Wrong Turn 1, 2, and 7 are great. 4 is fun though. For FD only 4 isn't good but its watchable.
I really think you will enjoy Jigsaw. It came out in 2017 and for a seven year gap between that one and Saw 3D, they came back strong. Very good plot and twist was really good in my opinion. They threw in some comedic scenes that I really didn't care for but overall, loved it. Also, Spiral, the 9th installment in the series, came out earlier this year. It's a brand new storyline but still takes place after the 8 movies. I enjoyed it.
It’s so funny how I’m getting equal parts “Jigsaw is awful” and “Jigsaw is good”. The same thing happened with every Saw movie I’ve watched 😂 I’m going in with an open mind. But an excited open mind.
Im glad Hoffman was able to survive in saw 6 because he a cool villain I mean not as cool as mcleach from the rescuers down under but still pretty cool.
You talking about the tooth 🦷 pulling scene made me think about a movie called The Dentist(1996). If you haven’t seen that movie I wanna see you react to it.
Once you mentioned being in the dentist field early on in this series I instantly thought of the pulling teeth scene in this episode and wondered so much what you'd have to say about it!
I had the exact same reaction as you when i first saw the end of this movie. It's honestly the perfect way to end the series and is SO satisfying. I dont care what anyone says, i love this movie.
And so ends the last respectable Saw films. Jigsaw and Spiral are good on paper, but bad in practice. Joyce and Jill didn't deserve what happened to them, but at least Hoffman got his. And also, Dr. Gordon kept his promise. He brought someone back to Adam.
I think I only felt that way because I watched them so closely together, lol. I didn’t think I’d be upset at all. Definitely that’s a gnarly way to die…
I think most people have very sick minds. I was increcibly mad that she had to die for no reason, after we were rooting for her the entire movie, It was Johns last wish for her to survive
When i saw your post on IG of u crying i honestly thought theres no other scene it could be than the one with Chester, i had no idea u were crying over Jill lol
So many thoughts. So fascinated to see you do responses to films with dentistry in them now. Love when a person can bring their knowledge to a reaction to provide insight. The Whole Nine Yards w/ Bruce Willis comes to mind. - This movie really suffered from being in 3D but I think a lot of movies at the time did. The promotion for this movie was more to do with 3D than it being a Saw film. - Love the idea that there is like a cult of survivors. - The more convoluted the trap, the easier it seems to poke holes in it. True with traps as it is with writing. The last three movies really had this problem. That's one aspect of the original that was so terrifying. Mutilate yourself to live and appreciate what you have left. Now there's giant machines in these seemingly massive complexes that look like it would have taken a fortune and a massive crew of engineers to set up. - The reverse bear trap on Jill, while cruel, is sort of a poetic punishment for John's cruel way of "helping" people. It isn't fair, but I feel like that might have been a possibility for the writer's thought process. - The return of Cary Elwes was something I feel like every Saw fan was waiting for. Would have loved a little more of him throughout the movie to get the feel like maybe he still could be a victim of Hoffman or woven throughout before revealing he was one of John's secret accomplices. Maybe have Gordon's story fill in the way previous movies did John's flashbacks throughout. - Good or bad, it was great having this series of films as an annual Halloween treat for fans. They came at the perfect age for me being a teenager at the time and being able to stomach the gore. I can barely do gore now, though sentimentality helps me manage with my old favorites. - While I don't think the writing in some of these is that great, this one in particular, I think this series (and to some extent the longer horror franchises) really made a bold decision in telling stories where one film set something up that wouldn't be answered until the next movie and trusted the viewers would remember it in the previous film. Faith in the audience can make for great storytelling opportunities. Really enjoyed your reactions to this series. Looking forward to your Jigsaw reaction, though I honestly don't remember the movie that well. Keep up the great work.
My initial commentary at the end I had a good 5 minutes discussing teeth, extractions and osteo-integration and how long it would take to pull off that setup. While editing it I said out loud "god I'm annoying" and deleted all of it. I appreciate that you liked my insight. Saw 3 I had a lot to say about the "surgical setting" too but was like "nope, it's too much" LOL I haven't watch The Whole Nine Yards but I'm familiar with it. Now I want to critique it :) The way everything connects by this movie makes me so happy. That loose end of not knowing if Dr. Gordon died or not bothered me. And I'm a believer that if someone doesn't die on screen they are still alive somewhere. It was a gift, it truly was. If I watched these like everyone else I think there would have been some stuff that went over my head. Getting to watch back to back and really watching without distractions and concentrating on them wholly has made it easier to digest and remember details. The storytelling is on point.
Speaking of movies with dentists, there's an old movie from 1995 called houseguest with Sinbad where he impersonates a dentist and screws it up at first. It's pretty funny, you should check it out. That movie was apart of my childhood, first saw it when I was like 7 or 8.
When I first SAW the film in theaters 11 years ago, I cried of excitement with the Doctor Gordon reveal, not Jill's death. However, I didn't expect her to actually die. Regarding the 2 survivors at the end who helped Doctor Gordon, those were Brad and Ryan, the two guys who survived the public trap at the beginning of the film. They were also in that Jigsaw survivor group led by Bobby Dagen, as was William's secretary, from the hanging trap in SAW 6, Emily's character from the Carousel trap in SAW 6, and Tara, the mother from William's test in SAW 6. I, along with many SAW fan's have had their Doctor Gordon theories since SAW 2. Fans petitioned and wrote the studio to have him return to the franchise and he did. I've known Cary since 2011. He may return to the franchise and I hope he does as a 10th SAW is currently in pre-production, so time to watch JIGSAW/SAW 8 and SPIRAL: From The Book Of SAW. JIGSAW is a sequel and a semi-reboot. It's in the same timeline and overall story, but takes place 10 years give and take, the events of the first 7 films as no more than 3 years passed between SAW 1 and SAW 7. The time interval between SAW 1 and SAW 2 would have been maybe 2 years, the interval between SAW 2 and the events of SAW3/SAW4 was 6 months, and between the events of SAW 3/SAW 4 and SAW 7 would have been at most a month to a month and a half. Know that SPIRAL, the 9th Saw, is more of a spin-off than a sequel. The writer are following a Marvelverse approach and making a SAWrvelverse saw to speak. Making a sequel, then a spin-off, then a sequel, then a spin-off, or at least that is the approach theyre planning. A tenth SAW is already in preproduction as the writer Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger announced the other week that theyre on the finishing touches of the script. SAW 3D received a lot of unjust hate from fans. I personally loved it regardless of it's flaws. The blood issue was universal in this film, theatrically and in home. I believe it was a color correction issue as you can tell, the color on the film was different than all the previous ones. It seemed as if a filter altered the usual color pallets of the franchise. Regarding your reaction to the Doctor Gordon reveal, my reaction wasn't much different. I was cheering, but silently not to get myself kicked out of the theater. I was so happy with that final reveal. SAW 8 was initially supposed to come out in 2011 before SAW 6 was released, but though SAW 6 was highly praised amongst many fans, the disappointment many fans had with SAW 5 left them skeptical about seeing SAW 6 in theaters and one of the franchise's best, was one of the least successful films of the franchise, so they decided to consolidate the story of SAW 7 and SAW 8, into one final chapter, SAW 3D: The Final Chapter. I'm glad they brought it back, as beautifully as SAW 3D ended.
I think jamming 7 and 8 into one movie was a huge mistake. I would've never know that the guys from the beginning were helping Dr Gordon. I was so stoked to see him, but mostly because I needed a completion to his story. It felt open ended. I;m so glad I watched these the way I did. It was seemless and like a continuous story. That's why it was so addicting. It was complete.
17:10 honestly i think it also really happened to her, as well as the girl bobby saw on tv. there were quite a few more games going on than just the ones we saw in the films. Gordon(I), Malick (V), Simone (VI), Addy (VI), Emily (VI), Tara (VI)... dude they really brought all these peeps back for the survivor group scene (and much more for Gordon, as we found out later). Daniel Matthews (II) and Brent (VI) were originally gonna be part of it, but the actors were unavailable. wish we could've also seen Brit (V), Morgan (IV) and maybe Corbett Denlon (III) because tho she wasnt a survivor she was still abducted for part of the game too...? can't remember if it was in a commentary or not, but i think someone said that Brad and Ryan (from the love triangle game) were working with Gordon to abduct Hoffman. love your reactions btw :)
When I lived in Burbank, the local AMC had a Saw marathon to coincidence with Saw 7's release. I think I got out of the theater around 2 or 3 am. It was awesome.
Hoffman like a killing machine, every detective who involved all get killed. He even put innocent people in his game, that deviated John's will. But Hoffman also a poor fellow, If his sister hadn't been murdered,he wouldn't been so cruel.
I love watching reactions to these movies from people who didn't have Years to talk about upcoming movies, so all the surprises are more meaningful. Those of us who started in 2004 knew (well, highly suspected) Gordon would return eventually.
Watching a bunch of reactions after watching the newest saw, no spoilers here. But the thing you said about Hoffman being “sexy” is sooooo relatable! ❤
My favorite line from Hoffman is actually from the producers who were having trouble choosing a death for Jill and they said it’s too bad we can only kill you once and she was like…OR CAN WE?? 😂😂👍🏾
I'm 🤣🤣 every time you say Buddy, when the doll's name is Billy! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Also. Dentistry, you say. "Marathon Man" 1976 starring Dustin Hoffman. Dentistry work at its finest in terms of actuality. "Is it safe?"
I love how Gordon can't hide his British accent in this one. XD especially during the Jigsaw Survivors meeting. Makes me wish they had let him be British from the start.
Fun Fact: Evan (The Racist at 11:02) is singer of Linkin Park Chester Bennington and Chester got this role because the one of the film’s producers (Mark Burg) are neighbors to one of LP member and heard from them that Chester and his wife being huge fans of the Saw series thus the producer connected with him and invited him for a role in the film.
Its almost as if you watch all these or read about all these movies before you see them 🤣. Your predictions are always correct, even the blood being magenta pink because it was filmed for 3D lmao
I still hope to this day Hoffman is still alive because the Saw Writers have said no one is truly dead and if you think that was shocking wait till you find out the plot twist of Jigsaw
I mean Hoffman will do anything to survive I would be surprised if he tried to brake his own leg or foot or used something in that room on the other bodies to get off that chain
@@something2fear I feel like they showed John telling Adam that the key was in the tub for a reason… why put that in 7 if wasn’t going to be relevant? Hoffman will tear that tub from the floor and get that key, or whittle a literal skeleton key from Adam’s femur. Hoffman is if anything, resilient.
@@funnylilgalreacts most definitely Hoffman will do anything to survive until they show the cops go where the restroom is and his body is there ill still leave it open for his return but just wait till you see jigsaw and spiral 😁
The blood was a different color because they were filming this movie for 3D and the slightly pink blood allows it to still be visible with the red/blue 3D effect.
That's a pretty weird reason given that the movie was only in polarized 3D in theaters and not available in red/blue or red/green anaglyph at home. It came out on Blu-ray 3D, but that's full-color, full-resolution 3D in top/bottom format.
I had to have a tooth pulled a few years ago because it had a hole in it and damn near hollowed it out. Had to get numbed 4 times because the girl that was trying to pull it could not get it out. All kinds of twisting, jerking, and pulling and it took her like 6 tries before she finally got it. To be fair, I think she was trying to not break the tooth while pulling it out, which still nearly happened since it was cracked by the time she got it out. Also had a filling that dentist put in fall out maybe 6 months after they put it in. Haven’t been back to that dentist office and the new dentist I found has been amazing.
THAT'S TODD FROM FINAL DESTINATION. Happy to see Chad Donella returning to horror. Awesome seeing Chester from Linkin Park in this too (RIP). Fantastic Saw movie and enjoyable ending which leaves you off on a cliffhanger with did Hoffman live or did he die? Bobby I cared about the less in this because he was a liar, wished you showed more of Hoffman/Gibson's story instead :( . Gibson showed so much personality in this movie and he had so many memorable quotes about his former partner, Mark Hoffman. I was excited to see how you'd react to Gibson's story with Jill, but only got like one full minute of your reactions to the main story? Uggghhhh. The best part of this reaction was the ending with Hoffman killing the entire department. "She looks crazier than a sack full of cats".
Many fans thought that dr Lawrence gordon was a bit lame and based entirely on fans theory but I disagree because: 1-Dr Gordon's mission with jigsaw was only helping him in operations jigsaw,Amanda and Hoffman can't do 2-dr Gordon was never meant to carry on the jigsaw legacy because jigsaw wanted him to pay more attention for his family alisson and diana as it was the reason why he was put in the bathroom trap in the first place whether he cheated on his wife or not 3-dr Gordon can't physically do the traps as he is one foot less than Hoffman and Amanda And that's why he was kept a secret from the other two
It made perfect sense to me! They never show any of the “surgical” parts being setup or done. Just as they never showed people being placed in the traps, and then it was revealed that it was Hoffman. It was logical in mind.
I watched Dredd and I never knew it was a 3D movie lol. One movie that has orange (if I’m remembering right) looking blood is Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. There was a specific reason that they gave it that orange tint, I wanna say it had something to do with avoiding an NC-17 or unrated rating, but I can’t remember for sure. Either way, amazing movie. 1 of only 2 musicals I actually like.
You at the end of Saw VI: ,,All I want is to see the reverse beartrap work" Saw VII: Shows the reverse beartrap in action You: 25:57 Decide already lady 😂
There were only TWO things good about this movie. One was seeing Dr Gordan back again after all this time and the other was the scene with the Reverse Bear Trap. Apart from this, this movie was really meh compared to Saw 6. Oh yeah he ending was good too. Nice reaction btw. Also be aware. Saw 8 (Jigsaw) completely breaks the plot of the entire series which was thankfully sort of fixed in Saw 9 (Saw Spiral).
Now that I’ve seen both I can comment… Jigsaw was a better fitting movie for me, Spiral was garbage. Now I’m the grand scheme, both are bottom of the barrel for me
I loved how Hoffman immediately tried to grab the saw, he was ready to saw off his own leg, you gotta give him props for that. I think this was a very fitting way to end his arc, his journey started with his vengeance for his sister's killer, and ended with his vengeance for Jill. Hoffman's own inability to never make anything personal is what got him killed. Great reaction as always :)
EDIT: Also if you noticed, The last person John thought about in his last moments was Jill, and the last thing Jill thought about as she died was John :( just goes to show the one thing that never changed was there love for one another
I didn’t notice that, but that is so beautiful. It’s not a love story, but there is heart sprinkled in here and there.
Yeah the creators would go on to confirm that Hoffman would indeed eventually die from hunger off-screen
@@Velanteg for nor reason? Did you even watch the movies?
I literally can watch Dr G say “I don’t think so” 50 times on repeat
It gives me chills!!!
Me too, with him coming full circle and getting to say "Game Over"!
It answered all those hanging questions and tied a nice little bow around it! I'm surprised that most people don't like this one!
@@funnylilgalreacts when it comes to Mark Hoffman, I'm both hoping he is alive because he was such a good villain so I'd love to see him again, but I also don't want him to come back, because if he survived, that would mean John Kramers final plan didn't work.
The ending was so epic. I love Dr. Gordon.
I was so happy to see he made it!
So awesome!
The ending was shit. Hoffman acting in part 7 is shit. Bringing Gordon back is a dick move?!what’s Gordon motive to become an accomplice
I love the ending and Dr . Gordon is one of my favorite characters
@@funnylilgalreactsDr. Gordon for the win! Sole survivor and the last man standing!
Her reaction when she saw Dr. Gordon was pure gold 😄
Say what you will about the Saw series... but, most satisfying ending ever.
SO SATISFYING
The reason Saw franchise is my fave horror franchise (after - and laugh if you must - the Scream franchise)!
The best part about the later movies to me was the flashback scenes with John. Filling in the blanks and seeing backstory.
John is so essential to these movies. I couldn’t imagine it done any other way. I’m normally not a fan of flashbacks, I feel it’s to convenient to fix a plot hole or set up a future storyline. But in this instance it didn’t feel like that. It felt right.
25:46-28:27 - Her sadness turned into proud and joy at the end.
23:57 "If he kills Jill, I riot."
Oh, I can't wait 😂
😬😬😬😬
Hmm, given how Hoffman enjoys pain and violence while John doesn't, I wonder if maybe John's original design for the trap involved burning Bobby while sparing Joyce but Hoffman changed the design out of sadism. remember, Hoff modified every single thing Kramer's make after his initial death.
GIRL I binged all these reactions, you are simply amazing thanks for helping with something to watch with my insomnia, you are amazing 😭🫶🏻
27:57 The last scene where Dr. Gordon throws the saw seems a little odd, but the movie is actually played in 3D, so that's why it's there.
Weird niche knowledge time:
Fun fact: in the commentary, the two pigmen helping Dr. Gordon at the end were supposed to be the two guys in the love triangle trap
Idk why, but I've always thought it was his wife and daughter (all grown up).
@@Team_5Ds that sounds much cooler tbh
I love how they made Hoffman like the terminator in VI and VII 😂
And yeah, the blood looks pink becuase it was in 3D haha.
i was wondering why the blood in this movie looked pink! i figured that was why.
27:52 Dr. Gordon's "I don't think so" still gets me 💀🤣
One big mistake they made with this was bringing in a new detective to be the main cop, and creating a false history with Hoffman.
Absolutely adore this filmseries, loved the reactions here
This was and is great, jigsaw and all the lil piggies are so fun!
I hated the pig head in the beginning 😂 now I’m like “oh yeah, let the game begin 😈”
@@funnylilgalreacts Heck yes😆
"pulling teeth is super easy!"
my "wisdom" teeth have to probably be removed soon, hearing how the process is actually super easy actually relieved a bit of stress I had. wasn't expecting to get that in a Saw reaction video!
Ok so that ending reaction was absolutely epic!
11:50 I follow the FX ppl who worked on the gore in this movie, one member said the tire spinning on the girls face leaving black skid marks is the one thing that's disturbed her / stuck with her working on these films
The doctor from the first movie I did not see coming that was perfect
It tied up that very irritating loose end!
The next two saw movies Jigsaw and Spiral are gonna be very different. Jigsaw is sort of a continuation of the main story and Spiral is a complete spinoff movie not connected to the main storyline. That’s all I’ll say lol.
That’s what I’ve been hearing. I’m going in with an open mind but I know I’m going to miss John and that story.
Also I love how speechless you were at the end of the movie lol
Can't wait to see your next reactions and much love.
I think I'm going to like Jigsaw and Spiral because if that fact lol
I'm such an emotional person so I hope if there are movies that allow me to show more of that side, you'll appreciate them as well.
And SAW 10 or 'SAW X' they wanna titled it as
"LEGACY"..
Sadly due to SAW 5.. ratings going low..
It's a shame it went that way. Considering how good they are, the investment would have been worth it to see it through,
Just found your channel and been catching up on your saw and marvel reactions!!
Imagine how much I cut out!!! Lol
I had the exact same reaction as you when i first saw the end of this movie. It's honestly the perfect way to end the series and is SO satisfying. I dont care what anyone says, i love this movie.
Can't wait to see your Spiral reaction after Jigsaw.
Awww, don't cry now! 😢 I just found your channel and I'm binge watching you. ❤️
Dr Gordon is one of my favorite characters in the saw series
And so ends the last respectable Saw films. Jigsaw and Spiral are good on paper, but bad in practice. Joyce and Jill didn't deserve what happened to them, but at least Hoffman got his. And also, Dr. Gordon kept his promise. He brought someone back to Adam.
Justice for Adam!!! That’s the one thing that bothered me about Amanda, the killing for no reason. Obviously John wasn’t a fan either 😬.
@@funnylilgalreacts in her mind it was mercy, so he didn't have to die from starvation
I feel like she could have recruited him or let him go…
@@funnylilgalreacts he and Dr. Gordon could've been Jigsaw partners.
You may be one of very few people who were upset to see Jill Tuck die. Most people were thrilled, especially because of the Reverse Bear Trap.
I think I only felt that way because I watched them so closely together, lol. I didn’t think I’d be upset at all. Definitely that’s a gnarly way to die…
I think most people have very sick minds. I was increcibly mad that she had to die for no reason, after we were rooting for her the entire movie, It was Johns last wish for her to survive
i think that this is the second best final of all the saw movies....the best one obviusly is the finale of the first film
When i saw your post on IG of u crying i honestly thought theres no other scene it could be than the one with Chester, i had no idea u were crying over Jill lol
I’m glad I didn’t realize it was Chester at the time. I would’ve had to skip it entirely.
The original saga started with the toilet room and ended with it
Fun fact the two pig masks with Gordon were the two guys from the opening trap
The 3 pigs at the end were confirmed to be Dr. Gordon and the 2 guys from the beginning publuc trap about the love triangle.
Saw 3 I had a lot to say about the "surgical setting" too but was like "nope, it's too much" LOL
I haven't watch The Whole Nine Yards but I'm familiar with it. Now I want to critique it :)
The way everything connects by this movie makes me so happy.
I just finished rewatching all the saw movies and your reactions for wensday so excited
Love your Saw reactions!! You always get so into the story ;-]
Thanks! I think I picked the perfect series to watch. It’s probably all down hill from here 🥴
I love watching reactions to these movies from people who didn't have Years to talk about upcoming movies, so all the surprises are more meaningful. Those of us who started in 2004 knew (well, highly suspected) Gordon would return eventually.
"put your knee on her chest and yaank that shit" had me dead lmao
All of a sudden, I want a video of you reviewing every dentistry scenes from as many movies as possible😁
Your reactions are so great. I've never seen such emotionally reactions beside your channel. Just amazing. 😃
Everything in Dredd was shot in 3D. The weird color in the slo-mo sequences was just an artistic choice.
Watching a bunch of reactions after watching the newest saw, no spoilers here. But the thing you said about Hoffman being “sexy” is sooooo relatable! ❤
You’re reaction to Doctor was the best. Clapping .❤❤
My favorite line from Hoffman is actually from the producers who were having trouble choosing a death for Jill and they said it’s too bad we can only kill you once and she was like…OR CAN WE?? 😂😂👍🏾
This might be the best conclusion ever from beginning to end
It’s a masterpiece.
Dr Gordon is so awesome one of my fav characters for sure
I'm 🤣🤣 every time you say Buddy, when the doll's name is Billy! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also. Dentistry, you say. "Marathon Man" 1976 starring Dustin Hoffman. Dentistry work at its finest in terms of actuality. "Is it safe?"
Какая же ты красотка.🫦❤️😻 Очень нравится смотреть твои реакции на свой самый любимый фильм.✊🙏❤️👍👏
11:36 One saved millions, but millions couldn't save one
We miss you Chester Bennington
😭😭😭😭😭
I love the reactions Saw is my favorite horror Franchise ever 😁💯
They are top tier. Masterpieces.
You had your own Jigsaw-challenge. If you want to see a reverse bear-trap, you have to see it done on a character you cared about. 😢
Its almost as if you watch all these or read about all these movies before you see them 🤣. Your predictions are always correct, even the blood being magenta pink because it was filmed for 3D lmao
Yeah, you get it. I really enjoyed this reaction, thank you.
I watched all your SAW reactions and it was fun! I can't wait for SAW X this year :D
If its the same lock, there could be a spare key stuck in the drain of the tub. But I could also see him be willing to break his foot off to get out.
RIP Chester. Great cameo.
What a perfect scene for you (the teeth one) 🤣. Always interesting to hear from professionals.
Out of the Entire Franchise so far, Who was your favorite Detective/Special agent? And Who do you think was the Closest to solving the case?
Oh good question. Let me think about it and get back to you….
Everyone who has done anything to help jigsaw, Jill included, deserves to be put in one of the games!
Many fans thought that dr Lawrence gordon was a bit lame and based entirely on fans theory but I disagree because:
1-Dr Gordon's mission with jigsaw was only helping him in operations jigsaw,Amanda and Hoffman can't do
2-dr Gordon was never meant to carry on the jigsaw legacy because jigsaw wanted him to pay more attention for his family alisson and diana as it was the reason why he was put in the bathroom trap in the first place whether he cheated on his wife or not
3-dr Gordon can't physically do the traps as he is one foot less than Hoffman and Amanda
And that's why he was kept a secret from the other two
It made perfect sense to me! They never show any of the “surgical” parts being setup or done. Just as they never showed people being placed in the traps, and then it was revealed that it was Hoffman. It was logical in mind.
24:24
That's definitely me while watching this movie LMAO
I hated Hoffman for some time but now he's one of my favorite characters
Hoffdaddy…. How did we get here? Lol
👀 Mark Hoffman gave me some
😎 Albert Wesker Vibes 💓 from Resident Evil! 👁️
That was the best ending out of all the saw movies …
I love Doctor Gordon the ending was so awesome. Also Jill pretty much dreamed that she was gonna die. Sadly.
Great reaction! I was really looking forward to this video)
Well, there are two spinoffs left!
You at the end of Saw VI:
,,All I want is to see the reverse beartrap work"
Saw VII: Shows the reverse beartrap in action
You: 25:57
Decide already lady 😂
I really like how much you care about Jill, that was so adorable haha.
Too much in my opinion lol.
