This fall in attending Penn State with a Pre-Med major so this is super helpful! I also cover as a Catholic so I was worried about how people may react to that but thankfully now I’m not as worried. I know there will be some assholes but when it comes down to how your doctor looks or your life, hopefully they’ll choose their life.

This is so perfectly timed! I just finished my final year in nursing and i was doing clinicals on an L&D unit. It was super stressful as a specialty unit with tons of high expectations, but i loved working with labouring mothers and babies! Literally never a dull moment on the unit. Ramadan Kareem!

I’m a registered nurse too.. and working at a oncological ward and it is so so hard. Just physically hard. I’m always working with a second nurse for about 30 patients. It is exhausting.

Allah makes it easy...don’t worry about it. Your body also knows what to do, so nature takes over. But don’t think about it too much, when it happens, it will happen as it should.

In Australia we do not have labour and delivery nurses . We are trained to be Midwives where we provide continuity of care for antenatal, birth and postnatal. We are trained to birth babies unless a woman’s care provider is an obstetrician .

A midwife in the uk does similar things to the doctor in America. The only thinks doctors would do in the uk is when there’s complications. Midwives deliver the baby from start to end in the uk
bulletproof two moons i was going to comment the same thing, plus they have midwives in America but must women opt to go under the care of a Doctor (it's one of the reasons for the higher C-section rate in the US)

Hey girl, I was in the same situation before nursing school. As a nurse, you will come in contact with and see a lot of gross stuff. When youre in the moment you are so focused on the situation that you kind of forget about the whole gross aspect. There have been times where Ive had to suppress gagging but thats ok! You get numb to it by the end of nursing school. I’ve even asked a couple of my friends in nursing school and they agree with what I think! They were also super grossed out in the beginning but now they’re fine.

Withlove, Leena While I am not a nurse ,my mother and grandmother were. My mother was a RN as was my grandmother -my grandmother graduated from nursing school in 1928! She was the oldest living graduate of the nursing school when she died in 1996. My mother was pregnant with me when she graduated in 1961(she was also a newlywed too. The nursing school and the hospital that the school was attached to no longer exist. The building that was the hospital is now a condo building. Keep going Leena the country NEEDS GOOD NURSES.

raghad safar it takes a little bit of time to get use to it but you will!! I have gagged a few times in front of patients 😩
