People always compare the 2 games, but I really find it hard to. Both games had such different atmospheres, in Dying light 1 you were alone. The music gave you chills, you felt as if nobody was alive out there besides those very few you met, if you were bit you would die and could only postpone the inevitable with antizen. Nighttime was horrifying because no matter the level you were there were volatiles capable of whooping your ass in many forms as you ran across rooftops.
In dying light 2 it’s very different, everyone here is alive, if you are bit it doesn’t matter everyone is, just get a UV light. There are bars and countless people, people you make friends with and defend each other on the streets of Viledor. Contrary to dying light 1 if you lost someone, that person was very dear to you, they were one of the last people in Harran and they died impacting everyone in the tower making everything seem lonelier. Whilst in Dying light 2 you never get that same emptiness because there’s so many more people around you. Night is not as difficult but the streets are flooded, dark zones are always a challenge and for once they added (somewhat) working stealth, something the first game never had!
Overall 2 entirely different experiences and games to me, even the music is different. In dying light 1, the music made you feel this sense of dread and sadness as you heard the people moaning and grunting in the back, there was truly nobody around, in dying light 2 the music gets your blood pumping with beauty scenery, functional gardens and a whole ass city where the entire town thrives! It’s crazy

It is not as beautiful as Dying Light, we were in a confusion of emotions full of fear and joy in the old game, dying light 1 is very beautiful

One thing that caught my attention was the weather effects. Would be nice if Dying Light 2 had some rain, but the graphics of DL2 is amazing.g

It was a great game.. untill they nerfed Korek and changed it.. even then it never felt the same as running the streets of harran or teaming up with friends in the following or doing night hunter although it will never feel the same we must move on and see what we have now even if it's not the game we want it's only been out for so little time hopefully they change and make it better like the game it was during release week but untill then I feel as if it is not whole like something's missing half of the puzzle
