Nice. One thing... it sounds like you have a double layer on the bottom half of the split on your first sound which as far as I know is technically not possible with this keyboard. You have a walking bass with ride cymbal together and piano above... I'm not aware of that layered sound in this keyboard. Not sure if you were able to load that in some how or if this is perhaps the VR09B which I believe you can load in sounds. ?
Thank you for your message Robert. Yes, there are many hidden double layer sounds in this keyboard. I've found three of them: Double layer walking bass with a cymbal, Piano with strings, and Electric piano with strings. Each double layer sound could be used in the upper or the lower manual. You can save them on your keyboard in the registrations to use them later from the VR 09. I saved these sounds on my VR 09. This video was made before releasing the Vr09B. Therefore, you can have them in your keyboard too ;).
May I ask what category you found them in? In particular the bass and cymbal sound. I have the original VR-09 and I have gone through all the bass and drum sounds on board and did not find that sound there. I have had it on other Roland keyboards over the years. Is it in the software or something as I do not use that feature at all?
Robert A. You can not have an access to these sounds directly on the vr09 or vr09b. That's why I called them the hidden sounds. One has to plug the vr to a computer and uses a midi softwore like Midiox to find them. However, if it's a little bit complicated I could send you these sounds by email and you could save and play them from your keyboard.
Wow, that's kind of you but what kind of a file would you send them as? Would I be able to just load them from my MAC to a USB and then into the VR09 or would I need to have the VR09 software (which I do not have) loaded up to accept the files that you would send?
Hi there how can i save the sounds that i programed on the midi ox to an registration of my roland vr 09b? I wahnt to create some soecific aou ds for my live performances!!
Just hold the registration button till you see on the VR09 screen the saving options. However, I recommend using CTRLR editor software for VR09 that has almost all the sounds that you are looking for. It's easier than Midiox You can join the VR09 Facebook group. There are a lot of information there
@@MrMikinova hi man. it was very easy to configure a third layer on the Roland VR. I have done a finger bas split with a clear piano sound for salsa with a pad under the piano layer to make it sounds much fuller when I sustain the notes. thanks for your help. ✌
Mikel Atallah yeah I have midi ox and it shows notes being hit on the computer but no sound changes when between bank sections and numbers. Sorry I’m very new to midi
After you plug your VR 09 to the computer, open MIDI OX, press Options-> Midi Devices, and put VR 09 as an midi output. Then go to View -> Control Panel -> Channel 4. There you can change the Bank sections, Numbers and the MSB values. Each value of them, most of the time, is related to a certain sound in VR 09.
if you want an easy way, download and install the Ctrlr program ctrlr.org/ then download this for the VR09, ctrlr.org/roland-vr09-vr730-v-combo-editor/ After downloading, you open it by the Ctrlr, you will have almost everything, categorized and clear, from the Atelier section.
No, you need to plug your keyboard to a computer and use a midi software. I used MIDI OX to find these sounds. Once you have the sounds, you can save them on your keyboard.
Really excellent! I look forward to trying to find them. Thanks!
@@jumpstar9000 you can find these sounds using CTRLR editor software for VR09

Yes, you can now have these sounds in an easier way using Ctrlr software with the VR09 plugin.
