Lovely song chris! Just finishing the book you did on joe, absolutely brilliant as reading it feels like he is talking to me! Your a very talented man man chris! Back in the day I was a sound engineer with a north east group we played at the hope and Anchor in Islington with a recording studio above the pub fantastic days so sad joes is gone now!
i wrote the original hardback version and the paperback two years later with updates and another paperback Sugar In The Morning which was another update of the original. We would have loved to write more, but sadly nothing more was written. There is a possibility of me writing another about Joe at some stage.

In 2007 I had been with my girlfriend to see Joe at the Grand Opera House in York and afterwards we went for a drink to flares pub in York! As we were walking back past the theatre I noticed a lot of what I thought were girls standing outside the side street queueing for what i thought to be a nightclub, then I looked and all of the women were not girls they're all at least middle-aged and they were crying so we walked down and there was Joe standing in the doorway, as no one was really talking I just walked up and said hi Joe we've come to see you from Sunderland and straight away he started quoting the clubs he played at in Sunderland shaking my hand the whole time we spoke it was an absolute pleasure to meet him and the one thing you get with Joe is just joe! So very easy to get on with and a lovely guy! You must have had great pleasure working with him!
@@roger1uk676 HI again. Yes. Joe was a friend with everyone. I loved him dearly as a friend. We are both from Hull. He was 4 years older than me and was doing great things in the clubs when i was just starting. Meeting with him, working with him, writing the books, being at events with him and at home, writing this song with him - and appearing as his support act many times will be moments I will always cherish. Miss him dearly.

And I understand the pain of losing such a good friend, he had something special there was something magic about him you know what I mean it's such a great loss I am truly devastated as someone who has been involved in the music business and also having met him briefly! Yes I knew you were both from Hull I will watch out for your name if I see you playing anywhere and I will make a point of coming to see you you are also a great musician! And can I thank you for the many replies, I hadn't known about your book with Joe so I bought it and as I was reading it, it was keeping him alive a bit longer for me!
