Yes, actually I think they should have added them into the song, they really fit to the song.
In the "Error" MV the guy is in love with the girl but she gets sick and dies. He is so heartbroken that he removes his heart with the machine and replaces it with a mechanical heart. He is now transformed into a cyborg.
He misses the girl so much that he decides the only way to bring his love back is to insert the girl's memory into a decommissioned robot that he was in the process of repairing. He is hoping to recreate the girl so it will be just like nothing has changed. After insurting the girl's memories into the robot, they are now happy again for a brief moment until the government finds out that he has a robot who has unauthorized memories. Because she was not authorized by the government or was created illegally, etc., when they check her motherboard or memory chip it shows she is not registered. She is not allowed, so the "police" try to take her away.
However, because the guy is now a cyborg, he has super human strength -- that's why he is able to break free and throw the men off the girl and the two of them are able to run away and escape. Although, they soon realize the only way they will be able to be together is like Romeo and Juliet -- if they "die" or, in this case, are dismantled -- so they allow the mechanical robotic arm to shut them down. In the end, all that is left is the part of them that truly made them alive and was a symbol of their love -- their heart -- which I think of as being combined into one because they were in love.
The "Error" is the fact that he thought he could recreate their love by building the girl and they could go on with life like nothing happened.
The heartbreak of this video for me is that, when they're both lying on the table and the machine begins its work, you can see her mouth "saranghae" to him. Kills me every damned time.
Thay video has so much depth of characters and emotion. It's one of my favorites. :)
The reason why I love VIXX: When they have decided on a concept, they really go all out on it and portray it not only in the song, but also the choreography (I think it's good that you want to watch the dance practices), the MV, the outfits, the make up, the design of the album cover etc. Real concept kings!
VIXX's "Fantasy" is the lead track on their Hades album, which is the second part of a trilogy of albums that have storylines that are connected with a Geek mythology theme. Each MV tells the story of the Greek God that each album is named after and all the B-side songs play off that theme.
The first album they released was Zelos, which featured their lead track "Dynamite." The story in the "Dynamite" MV is based on Zelos, the Greek God of jealousy and rivalry.
Next, they released their album Hades with their lead track "Fantasy." This song and MV is telling the story using the metaphor of Hades, the God of the underworld. As you can see, the song is about a guy who is living in a “Fantasy” after the girl he loves left him. It talks about how he will do anything to stay inside that “Fantasy” and never be without her. The song is about how he is living in darkness now that she is gone. The pain that he is feeling right now is something that is very hard for him to bear but he is still willing to endure the pain if it means he can get her back. He has now become so entrenched in that darkness that he is asking for someone to help him find his way out. He is struggling, trapped in the depths of darkness and is unable to break free from the “Fantasy” he has created. Just like the story of Hades and his queen Persephone. Hades kidnapped Persephone, the goddess of spring, and takes her to the underworld and forces her to be his wife. Therefore, in "Fantasy" they want to live in that "Fantasy" world where the guy will never be apart from the girl, but in realty he discovers it's like living like Persephone trapped in the underworld, no longer able to feel the joy of "spring'" love, etc.
The final album is Kratos with their lead track "The Closer." This song and MV is based on the theme of Kratos, the Greek God who personifies strength, might, sovereign rule and authority in all its forms. The story in "The Closer" MV is actually told in reverse.
And in order to see the full story you actually have to watch all three MVs in reverse release order. If you watch the three MVs together you will see that the stories are connected and it continues from one to the other. In other words, although "The Closer" came out last, it is actually the beginning of the story. Therefore, you have to watch "The Closer," then "Fantasy," then "Dynamite" to understand the story better.
In the "Fantasy" MV we see the members looking lost and sad in the dark woods. You can see a girl walking deep in the woods. N, the leader of VIXX, is searching for the girl. While looking for the girl he encounters the other members, who represent the things in life that are bad influences on him. The other members, i.e. bad influences, try to lure N deeper into the woods and deeper into darkness. The girl you see in this MV is the same girl from the previous MV “Dynamite" and she is also part of the story in their next MV, "The Closer". So, if you connect the storylines and take into consideration that it's being told in reverse order, the story in "Fantasy" explains what lead up to the story in "Dynamite" and it explains why N ends up the way we see him in "Dynamite." And if you watch "The Closer" MV you will see how the story begins, which will help explain how he got to this dark place in his life, which we see in "Fantasy."

Fantasy is one of those songs that you hear it once and never forget, Vixx was doing the work in 2016! I remember when they dropped Fantasy and literally everyone lost their minds and rightfully so! That song is so good. I just love vixx.

i have been telling people for yeeeeaaaars that i think fantasy is the best composed kpop song of all time- its so theatrical and unique, it really brings something to kpop that i hadn't seen before, and haven't seen since. As a long time fan (2013~), i'm really saddened that i wont be able to see them as a group of 6 on the stage again, but at the same time i cannot wait for the comeback. it will be a rollercoaster for many im sure. thank you so much for enjoying their talents !! :)

With VIXX I honestly forget I am watching a MV because a lot of their MVs is like I am watching a KDrama such as the MV for Error. Also the Lead Actress in the MV for Error is Youngji from Kara. Hongbin’s acting in Error is always fun for me to watch in this MV.
Chained Up concept straight up being a slave of love while the MV Concept is based on the Members fears such as Hongbin having a fear of water. N in the room filled with glass is insecure about his looks and scared of hurting himself and being unable to dance. Ken in the glass cage with flowers being afraid of being cut off afraid of not being able to interacting with people because Ken loves being around and interacting with people. The flower display puts him out of reach of family and friends. Leo in the Gold Chain room is remarkably shy and is uncomfortable with attention. The blonde hair, bright lights, and gold chains makes him stand out even more than he is comfortable with. HYUK Stairway to nowhere is afraid of reaching the top and not having anywhere else to go that he can only get so far in his career and then end up nowhere. Ravi in the White Sheet Room his is scared that all his hard work end to nothing and will become unknown or get lost in the crowd.
Also VIXX being Concept Kings fun fact one of the version of Chained Up came with a BDSM Contract. I was even more surprised to learn MONSTA X’s Minhyuk very well knew about VIXX’s Slave of Love Contract like he already signed and is already a member.
Fantasy love love this song and MV so so much and with being part of VIXX’s Second Part of their Greek Mythology Trilogy 2016 Coneceptipn Trilogy with Fantasy being based on Hades. I also hope you get a chance to check out both Dynamite and The Closer with Dynamite being the first part and The Closer being the Last Part of VIXX Greek God Mythology Conception Trilogy.
I for one am excited for VIXX’s 5th Mini Album Continuum to finally be released November 21st. Happy VIXX are back even if it is only LEO, KEN, and HYUK participating in this comeback. I am still very happy and will be forever supporting VIXX.
Minhyuk knowing about the slave contract was hilarious. I'm so happy other idols love Vixx, I wish people would mention them more often, they were such a great group. I'm sad N is not participating in the new comback but I hope they all have fun anyways

I don’t think there’s another group that does concepts like vixx. It’s what makes them unique. They are very theatrical. I would recommend you check out ‘Rock Your Body’ , ‘Eternity’, ‘On and On’, and ‘The Closer’
**Also Ken has solo songs and has some covers that you can check out. His voice is out of this world. He also did a R&B version of ‘Scentist’

Here is some based information about mvs.
In error, Hongbin was working on a cyborg factory and he had a human girlfriend. She got sick and died and Hongbin decided to erase her memories to not feel the pain of her death. So the first operation scene we saw was Hongbin trying forget her. It worked at first but one day Hongbin saw a cyborg in the factory. The cyborg has a broblem with her arm and Hongbin should've fix her but she was looking exactly his gf so he remembered all the memories back. Then he uploaded his memories to cyborg but it was not allowed cyborgs to have feelings or memories so the men in black came to take her away. So they run away and suicide together. And the ERROR was the idea of forgetting her because he is in pain. Because in VIXX world giving up on someone you love because of pain is not acceptable. We are seeing this theme in many of their sk gs such as voodoo doll with them saying " should I stay or should I go" while they litterally being tortured.
Hyde;
It is the concept of Jekyll and Hyde. And funfact there is an opposite music video called G.r.8.u . Its basically the Jekyll side of the story.
About chained up;
Its one of the song &conept shows how brave is VIXX to do something undone yet. Because the collars was the first time in kpop with this . Also as somekneelse already mentioned this album has two versions. Control and freedom. One ver comes with a slave contract signed with a fingerprint of a random member and the other one is coming with a user guide tells you how to use your slave ... and also they made a vibrating lightstick .... so yes they are not only the concept kings but also probably one of the kinkiest group in kpop.
And Fantasy, This song is just a legend. Dance practices are good too but specially for this one I recomment you to watch live stages too.

Fantasy is THAT SONG! So lucky that I found VIXX in Fantasy era. So good. I recommend VIXX LR (Leo and Ravi) Beautiful Liar. It's fantastic and has a great concept.
OMG BEAUTIFUL LIAR IS SOOO GOOD, and I would add Whisper and Remember. Sometimes, I forget how many masterpieces Vixx and Leo&Ravi have, ik they were pretty big, but their still so underrated, I see them and Shinee pretty similar of their impact in kpop and such a high level of artistry.
"That might be one of the best songs I've heard" RIGHT?! RIGHT?! This song and the whole album had me on a chokehold since it came out. One of my favorites out of their discography. Excellency, top Michelin stars, the highest honor bestowed upon music listeners.
Vixx, hands down, has the best concepts. BAP has some good concepts too. Error has imperfect, tragic love. Chained Up where they are enslaved to their own worse fears. Hyde is that love that can turn you into someone else, and not necessarily for the better. Fantasy is forbidden love, where you know you’re not good for that person, but you can’t help being drawn in. As mentioned, check out Vixx L/R, and solo stuff. Losing Game by Leo is a song on heavy repeat for me.
Seeing you react fresh to all these VIXX songs is taking me back to when I first discovered them and how I was blown away. I found them during Love Equation promotions, watched Error and it was Le Sin Set ;D (Falling for Leo at first sight.) Chained Up was my first real comeback, from waiting for teasers to sitting up until ridiculous hours in the morning for the release, bleary eyed, waving my dangerously pointy starlight lightstick with utter joy. Then I was lucky enough to see them perform in Paris, just after they'd released Fantasy. Man, what an experience seeing that performed live was.
Thank you for bringing back all these amazing memories. I can't wait to share this comeback with you all. VIXX will forever be six for me, but getting to see Leo, Ken, and Hyuk together again will be magical.

Fantasy was the first ever VIXX song I heard...I was hooked.
VIXX always did their own thing. At the time they were truly unique and always went a different way then most other groups. So excited for their comeback!
No one does it like them aaaah. 😭 Their dance practices are really great too, I may even have watched those more than the MVs themselves. Songs, concepts, outfits.. They do it all so different and so THEM.

The song is called "Hyde" So in the MV the VIXX members are Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. When they are in white, they are showing you the Jekyll side of them, but when you see them in black, they are their evil alter ego Hyde. The story and song concept is based on the classic literary novel by Robert Lewis Stevenson. The story of Jekyll and Hyde is about a man with split personalities, so in the song they are comparing their love to being like Jekyll and Hyde. They want to be kind and sweet like Dr. Jekyll, but inside they can't help but act like Mr. Hyde.
VIXX always just hit different... Found them during their "Error" era and I was HOOKED. They truly deserve the title of "Concept Kings" and their music is still so beloved. Hearing their song "Walking" which was a gift to fans before their service and final song as a 6-member team still remains one of my favorite things to listen to as a comfort song. I'm glad that you found them and can witness their truly beautiful journey. I highly suggest "Walking" and the MV on their official channel has English subtitles for you to cry to.
I forget about "Fantasy" some times and I honestly think it's just self preservation. Like the song and the video are so good and so intense my heart could not survive if I listened everyday. But it's SOO good! the way that finally chorus just goes all out! with the piano AND strings AND all the members singing full out.
VIXX also happens to be one of my favorite groups vocally. One of those groups with of course great singers, but also very different voices that just compliment and balance out so perfectly. Leo and Ken with the power vocals and higher range, contrasted with Hongbin and Ravi's crazy low notes, and then N and Hyuk can sing anything but have these super warm voices with amazing texture when they sing the middle range. So perfect

I love VIXX's choreographies because it does storytelling too, not just their lyrics, especially Hyde. Kings of concepts fr, introducing to the kpop scene chokers, colored eye contacts, using traditional clothing and instruments, vibrating lightsticks, fan chant guide videos, etc.

You know once you watch all their music videos like Rock Your Body, On & On, GR8U, Only You (my fav), Eternity, Love Equation, Dynamite, and The Closer. You can check out Leo & Lyn Blossom Tears, Vixx LR songs, and their comeback stages where they perform the B sides (btw Love me do stage is really good). They have such good discography and I listen to them all.
the closer and dynamite are the more ‘tamer’ concepts like u mentioned! one is more slower while the other one is more upbeat but at the same time, tame. u should def check those two songs out!!

I have loved vixx for over 9 years at this point and I am still blown away by their work. I love the mention of My Valentine at the end there. The choreo is awesome, and the song is just as great. Their b sides are just so well done. One of the best parts about vixx is how well produced their music is. I am so glad you are reacting to them and enjoying them as much as you have been.
VIXX was the first kpop group I ever heard (10 years ago now??), and i immediately fell in love with them! I'm so excited that you're enjoying them, and it's so much fun to see your reactions to everything. It's also giving me a chance to go back and listen to songs i haven't heard in a while, and i'm reminded of just how amazing their music is!! You should definitely watch some dance practices if you feel up to it, they're amazing, also VIXX LR (Leo and Ravi subunit) have some amazing songs if you want to check those out too!

VIXX's 'Hyde" is my favorite concept from them. if you look at the whole thing the concept is perfect in everything. the lyrics compliments the dance. the dance is all about the light vs dark, the performance reflects it even better with their stage presence and outfits and the MV also shows it really well. Really an all rounder concept reflected every where. I recommend for you to read the lyrics and look at the dance practice or a performance.
YESSSS we need a dance practice marathon next because as much there is a lot of storytelling in vixx's mvs there is also a very heavy storytelling layer in their choreos so they need a separate video!!

Fantasy is EPIC, that song is a MASTERPIECE and my favorite from their discography forever (I think Fantasy has a sample of a classic by Beethoven 'Moonlight Sonata)

you have to react to vixx dance practices! they're known for concepts but honestly their dancing is top tier too. also in terms of stages if you're interested in reacting to those, i personally really like black out (not a title track). also vixx so hot is a must
I got into kpop back in 2010 with a song called Lucifer by SHINee and I went through all the groups that came after that. And yes, kpop has changed a lot in just a few years and VIXX were absolute concept kings! I can't tell you how much I miss this older type of Kpop with music videos that were like movies! Since you only got into kpop in 2021 I would suggest to you groups like SHINee, EXO, BIGBANG, 2NE1and GOT7, they were my favorites along with VIXX. Finally, I just wanted to say that your video was in my recommended and I didn't even know you before this but I've subscribed! I would love to see your reaction videos to the older generations of Kpop that you can now discover! :D
Whenever people consider watching VIXX's dance practice (yes, go for it) I wanna suggest that they ALSO watch live stagea of the same songs, alongside the practice. Cause VIXX's live stages are soo good
Older groups were always trying to come up with concepts, but VIXX are considered the kings of concepts.
There are also Acoustic versions of Chained Up and Error. They may be short, but both are satisfying and always melts my heart with happiness.

Fantasy was the 2nd installement in a Greek mythology trilogy they released in 2016. I strongly recommend you watch Dynamite and The Closer too along with the Eau de Vixx album since you loved Scentist so much too. I'm glad you're enjoying VIXX, they're my all-time favorite kpop group. ^-^

I went back to watch your other VIXX video and when you commented on N's stage name it reminded me of a certain other one-letter-named idol! VIXX making you speechless after Fantasy is so real. I remember being blown away by it when they released it; it was the first kpop song I had heard that sounds like it would totally fit in some epic film. It's so nice to get to re-experience discovering them through you! I really hope you do a dance practice marathon since they have some of my favorite dances ever. And if you do you NEED to include Hyde it's my favorite kpop dance of all time and it encapsulates the Jeykll and Hyde concept so well. Also if you want to do some brighter/less darj stuff by them Dynamite, Love Equation (which is a remake of much older song), Only You (more ballady), and G.R.8.U (which is the Jeykll side of them) are some good ones!

ravi has a lot of solo work that i'd definitely recommend, my personal favorite album of his is r.ook book. leo, ken, and hyuk also have solo stuff as well!
If you decide to check out live stages or dance practices, Shangri La and Chained Up are a must. Both were cultural resets for different reasons. Please (on your own time even) also check out Love Me Do (specifically the one where they're wearing white shirts), top tier B-side they also did a live stage for. All i can say is legs, legs, legs, and broad shoulders. LOL I'm having the time of my life going down memory lane with you. Thank you!~
I'm even more proud of them every time I see someone react to their MVs! I'm like, our boys did that! They did that! Lol. My favorite MV from them is probably still G.R.8.U. because I love the song so much! I Don't Want to be an Idol is an oldie but a goodie. So is Time Machine. Time Machine is one of my absolute favorite b-sides from them!
I need people to know that I cried by watching Error teaser alone and that's not even the whole MV. What a memory.

I remember the first time I saw this years ago.. I had tears in my eyes at the end. I have been a KPOP fan since 2008, and I will stand by saying nobody tells great video stories as well and as consistently as VIXX.

They were my ult group when I was deep into kpop, and there's so much great content to see between the MVs, B-sides, funny videos, live perfomances, etc!
Thank you for checking out VIXX! I would really recommend VIXX's dance practice especially for older songs/darker concepts because their entire choreography is a story itself.
My top recommendations for story: On and On, Hyde, Voodoo Doll, Eternity, Error. But I would also recommend Shangri-la, Fantasy, Dynamite, and Scentist. Actually, just check out everything lol.

how I missed that time, where all the starlights waiting for all the conception albums (Dynamites, Fantasy, The Closer) to be released one by one. Sticking to the screen coming up with every detail theories from each music videos. It was so much fun reading different theories and how they relate each album to one another.

I heard you mention them at the beginning of your first VIXX video. That would be super nostalgic too. They have some super cool MVs.
No matter how much all their dance practices are just wooow.... I would recommend the Love Equation dance practice and Error (errored version) dance practice..... They are just pure wholesome.... I love them dearly...
