That pretty close to how Hollywood might have done it. Imagine this being a scene where two guys are stealing the car and undexpectedly the owner steps in. Possibly a cameo of the director. Next scene: Showdown.

Lacus, do not have that attitude. With enough money you can easily drive a DeLorean or another iconic and attention getting classic automobile. A delorean is not out of reach for a normal person. I know people who spent enough on weed that could have bought them a nice car. Mind you, they can go ahead and piss away their money like that...it is their life choice.
I was offered a ride in a friend's barn-find DeLorean. Other than being iconic, the car sucks for tall people. At 6'1" I almost touched the headliner. And there is NO interior room.
You're not alone in that. One cool car though. Too bad these aren't made anymore. Well, that and too bad they are too low for me to comfortably sit in or get in/out of.
What if the car is actually a time machine from the future and some guy went back to 1986 and got stuck there, and he purposely hid the car in the barn for someone else in the future to collect and got back in time to rescue him? But now the guy is stranded forever in the past because you stole the car the person in the future was supposed to collect and go back in time with :O
"But now the guy is stranded forever in the past" On the contrary, he couldn't possibly for "stranded forever in the past" because him like the car moved through time naturally. He'd still be around TODAY. If he couldn't get back then he'd simply stay and age like everybody else. If he was 25 when he left the car in 1986 he'd be 57 today. "Stuck in the past" ?? (If the guy lives another 30 years and becomes 87, he will reach whatever time he came from.) And if you think the *far* future, who'd make a time machine out of an ancient old DeLorean?? It only works as a contemporary car for a contemporary (1985) year zero scenario. The only reason it was picked in the movie was because it was only a couple years old when the movie was shot and was rare enough to stand out - i.e. to have an identity on its own.
But then he used a old locomotive from the 1800's as his time machine, so moral of this story is; if you see a old locomotive on tracks by you...time travel is definitely real! Also, smooth out those folds in your tin foil hat..think they're catching the rays again!
What is obvious in relation directly to the movie, is that this car was not fast enough to reach 88 MPH(as was demonstrated in the movie). Delorean car is definitely a good looking vehicle, but it's one of those cars that lives on the legacy created by the movies(the other being Pontiac Aztek). As this car was out of production long before Back to the future was released because its performance and reliability was disastrous.
Elerian There has been multiple videos showing it going 88+ also in the movie they don't talk about or show if any modifications had been made to the engine its self.
Many congratulations Nick on finding a great treasure. As a car lover we all dream of such a find. Unfortunately my chances of finding one are slim since the cars went to the US. However, I grew up near the factory in Belfast and my father worked there. He went to work and returned from work each day with a smile. He said it was the best job he ever had and John De Lorean was a gentleman. Good luck with the resurrection.
A friend of mine, his mother had one. I knew I wanted one. Then shortly after that it was in the "Back to the Future" movie came out. It looks great! Very nice find!
I'm more interested in the backstory of the barn. It's hard to believe a big beautiful barn that nice and well maintained hasn't been used for anything, or even opened for that matter, in 32 years.

For over 35 years I have been buying cars such as this one, that have been left by their owners to basically rot. I could never understand the reasoning behind it. Most of the cars, a good 85% of them were never covered, left outdoors to get rotten by rain, snow, rodents, etc.. And I am not talking Honda Civics or Toyota Tercels, I am talking about Porsches, GTO Judges, TA's Super Duty, Super Birds, Camaro SS, 240Z, etc... Not complaining because I have made a lot of money because of it, just always wondered why some people, educated, intelligent, well off, would just let a car sit for that many years. Great vid, thumbs up.

Doc "If my calculations are correct... you will receive this letter immediately after the DeLorean's struck by lightning and I have carefully placed the DeLorean in a barn just around the corner." Marty "Yeah your calculations were correct Doc, but someones nicked the DeLorean."
This isn't the first barn find DMC I've heard of. It actually was more common in those 20 or so years between DeLorean factory closing and before DMC Texas opened where, a car would break down and there were no available parts to fix it, so the car would go into storage. Up here in Anchorage area where I live in Alaska, there's a DeLorean sitting outside a bar, under a tarp, rotting since the mid-2000s. I've had a mind to offer the owner of the bar $5k to take it off his hands and see what she'd say.
Yea I live by the Texas building that makes these cars but they built a freeway next to it and I pass over top of it now I haven’t seen the dmc building in many many years I’m sure it’s still down there
I know where there is a 1970-71 Dodge Challenger with 440 is and the owner is just letting the car rot away. He won't sell it and he will die with that thing going to the estate to be sold off as a rotted hunk of metal rather than a restorable car.
If the engine is no good, i say convert it to electric. See if Elon can make you a 1.21 Gigawatt battery pack so you can go back to 1985 and save Marty from himself.
I’m very surprised that car hasn’t rust over 32 years! John Delorean is very smart making a car out of stainless steel and it’s still looks good in condition. This is why I love the Delorean in the first place ❤️
Been buried since Doc and Marty were trying to fix it in 1885!! But seriously, what a cool find!! If only I was 16 (currently 14) and able to drive, I'd so try and get one!!
It's like you found the time machine that Doc Brown left hidden after he got trapped in the past. Only thing missing from this vid was the "dee doo doo dah" bell sound when you had black screen with text. LOL
Wow. Reminds me of a barn find DeLorean a friend of mine bought a few years back. It had 4, yes 4, miles on the clock. Shame about the damage around that passenger side rear wheel arch there.

I will always love this car, not just because it was in back to the future, but because this car was something out of the future, it was different, it looked fast (even tho it wasn’t) it was just different.
Marty: "Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Doc, uh... Are you telling me you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?" Doc: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? Besides, the stainless steel construction makes the flux dispersal- look out!!!"
Great Scott! That's really crazy. It was a new car when someone decided to park it there for a long time. Do you know why it wasn't be driven any more? Feels like the 1885 one Marty McFly found in the cave in 1955. :)

Also they could have easily pushed the car onto that flatbed be used the wench for dramatics. Wake up sheeple!
Oooo, conspiracy! I like that [grabs popcorn and makes himself comfortable]
If Doc & Marty revived a 70 y.o. DeLorean this ought to be a piece of cake :)
I will always love this car, not just because it was in back to the future, but because this car was something out of the future, it was different, it looked fast (even tho it wasn’t) it was just different.
My dream car i hope i can get it in the future😥
I have high chance to get it
Just go 88mph

Marty: "Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Doc, uh... Are you telling me you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?"
Doc: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? Besides, the stainless steel construction makes the flux dispersal- look out!!!"
What a car 🤗🚗 Liked it so much..
The Delorean is the greatest car I've ever seen.
they look just like the Lotus they really are but with a gutless engine .
Also in WI man. This is so amazing! Great find!
shaneomac1602 where are you from in Wisconsin
shaneomac1602 i’m near hudson
I’m just southeast of Waukesha.
Why didn't they show it after it been cleaned and running
Part 2
Well there’s 15 minutes of my life that I’ll never get back!
Best. Barn. Find. EVER...
Wow, 32 years, incredible!
Great Scott!
That's really crazy. It was a new car when someone decided to park it there for a long time.
Do you know why it wasn't be driven any more?
Feels like the 1885 one Marty McFly found in the cave in 1955. :)
We're the seats salvageable? They look super dry rotted..
It probably broke
Yeah
Mold
Judging from the number of dents perhaps the owner realised that they were no longer able to drive safely?
Oi where on the map is it I can't find it in FH4
Everybody: back to the future car
Me: deluxo gta online
Facxx 111 😂
What’s a deluko or whatever?
Haza! A man of art

You are lucky to find a beauty like this now a days. I hope you aren't going to spoil it with fluzos and stuff like that. Preserve as original as you can. It looks gorgeus. What a nice car.
thats awesome great car ha. i love the way you guys love those cars and the way you get another one.
This is like the scene in the movie when they go in the barn...
This car reminds me of the Delorean time machine car that was stored in a cave in Back To The Future III.
Fred Kelbert um it is the same car
Dang that's spooky. Back to the Future in real life
I remember when I was a kid and I was at Local car dealer with my father and one was on the show room floor .bad ass cars back then and still are to me now .and I would like to see part 2
This might be the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen!! #childofthe80’s
Just like the movie Back to the Future 3?
Just like the scene in BTTF part 3 !!
Exactly. I wanted to write same thing.
Barn find Delorean! This has got to pretty rare find, especially in Wisconsin! How many miles does it have on the clock?
5:03 i'm not sure first digit but I am curious about VIN number too
I’m curious if it has a flux capacitor
It has 34,233 Miles
11,000 ish miles
If it was a real time machine, miles would roll back😎
Great Scott!! o.0" Hopefully that classic is easy to fix up :)
Such beautiful car😍
What is the mileage?! 12,500???
Actually looks really new
I think it says 6255 miles, not rly sure about the first number tho (6).
14233 really not sure about first number
snowontheweb funny you ask it's sold for in 1984 it would sell 12,500 used
@@cuuscuus 34233 because the owner said its 30 or 40k
The word here in Saukville is you paid 3500 for the car... Not bad!
This video randomly showed up in my recommended, and I gotta admit that was a really good find! Will there ever be a part 2?
