so happy I found this page , I use it to gage my aspects of my game and sliders , while also I find tons of new information in the comments to help me gage more - like I said in a previous video great work bro 💯
and I knew you were good once I had my original sliders I’ve been messing with (ala I’ve been messing with sliders I every sports game for years so I do have experience) and every change I was considering matched most of the things you changed lol shocked I haven’t found your channel sooner but I just never thought many people even played the game the way I did or at least made videos , good shit tho man
I was in a similar boat I would always go on operation sports to find something and would spend hours tweaking it. Never felt like anyone looked at it from a "does it play realistic when I play" view lots of sim sliders and hard sliders not many psuedo realistic. I do hope EA improves user defense a little in the next game be will cross that bridge later. Hope to see you around!
A good XP slider set I found on Operation Sports is by “MattChaos” and it’s called the “Ratings Matter XP Slider Set” he said it aims to keep gameplay consistent through the dynasty as a whole and I would seem to agree with his sentiment. He made lineman’s xp way lower than the base since every lineman becomes a 90 OVR as a junior in my past experiences regardless of Dev traits so that would be my favorite XP slider set rn.
He does have All-American sliders that go along with that which makes the game play well but with it being on All-American it is super easy to beat teams lower ranked than you and still easy to beat teams similarly ranked to you but a little bit more of a challenge. I will try these sliders out once I feel those ones become too easy and I need more of a challenge.
I will probably use his XP sliders, a few iterations ago I attempted to dial it in but gave up after a few hours. These have had really good results for me through teams wil 88 overall. I don’t have the most testing with user teams 88+ but in the limited sample size I was pleased
@@cswee123 Yeah, I did a Liberty dynasty and used the base XP sliders and after three years I was already up to a 92 OVR with mostly 3-4 star recruits. I haven’t tested the XP sliders but it seems that there becomes more of a mix of 80-85 OVR players for 3 & 4 stars rather than 85+ players which is what I like since no program should become a powerhouse in 3 years just recruiting 3-4 stars.
@ Yeah, gonna try out your Heisman sliders too. Games been too easy on All-American. Running a spread option offense I’ve been able to go 8-0 as Buffalo with an 85 OVR team but I beat Penn State on the road when they were ranked #1 so it felt unrealistic. Loving using your house rules too especially the recruiting and scheduling ones.
What’s your opinion on the time clock settings? What is the play count comparison between 10 and 15 minutes with 12 second run off. I’ve been running 15 with 12 and the games have ranged scores from 56-44 and 35-23. I’m averaging 45 ppg and 35 points against.
I have not really tested on 15 minutes since I know the score will bloat, the issue I find is the 2 minute offense for the CPU is so fast that there are more plays in that time frame than a typical 6 minute segment of the game. Also the same for teams who no huddle (I play on average 3-4 per season of these guys). I have seen games in my current dynasty range from 3-10 all the way up to 37-39 with 2OTs. I think that is a good range for my liking. Also have had blowouts both ways (3-31 and 39-12) so there's a bunch of variation. In general using travis hunter as a comparison (since I cannot find a downs played stat for anyone else lol) he played 671 on offense this season and in my last seasons dynasty my top offensive guys played anywhere from 585-665 with the median being around 640. Defense will bloat as well since CPU teams run more no huddle than I feel is realistic. If you add 5 minutes per quarter assume a 33% increase which is too high I feel like. Not sure if that answers your question lmk
@@cswee123yeah that definitely answers any questions I had. I’ve kind of been annoyed with the bloated scores almost every game and I want a more realistic feel. So I think I’m definitely gonna run it at 10min with 12sec. Also, I’ve been super happy with your previous slider set before this with a few minor tweaks. I’ll have to run some games with this new one, but great work. Appreciate the time you put into these👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed them, this one is based off of that one with some moves for blocking and injuries mostly. But unless EA makes some crazy update we are done for this game. Excited for 26 for sure
I tried these last night and they generally feel pretty good with a couple exceptions. It seems like punters punt the ball way too far with these, what's the rationale behind that? My punter easily clears 50 yards with wind coming at him. The second one is I feel like players with speed are too OP. I've played 4 games and have housed 5 KR/PR for TD with my 99 speed 98 acc. Is this intended or a small sample size?
For the punting I did it to increase yardage for the overall game. Since the game time is shorter it was my way to add more yards in here and there. I care more about skill yardage than punting yards. As for fast players there is little you can do unless you make everyone else fast. Lowering the speed threshold to 15 only sets that as the lowest you can have. Typically the lowest is ~40 so players play at their true speed. I have used a few since launch and that was something I did not find anyone really able to solve. The kick returns are definitely not intended have not seen that many in a season when I return or I let the CPU take over
@@cswee123 oh well dang I'll just lower the punting strength back to default. My clock settings allow for a realistic number of plays per game so that's not an issue for me. I also like to work the field position game. thanks for the tips
@@jpeters1734 That is what I would do I play on 10 minutes so I just increase punting distance and it has worked nicely for giving 10-15 extra yards per drive
@@tddupree720 That is valid, I don't think going lower effects it but I will try it around the 40s to see, not sure if I will update these on YT again unless there is an update that messes with it but I appreciate the feedback
I just don’t understand how yall have wr catching on 40 on heisman. McMillan, the Arizona stud wr with 99 catching, can’t even make contested catches against New Mexico and mine are at 65. Maybe I just suck but heisman is impossible
Heisman is for sure difficult, I do it to force myself to find open guys or dump it low more often. It does increase the difficulty but I just felt at the base level it made driving the field too easy. I always suggest to play with what you feel like makes the game the most fun. These are just what I have found to get to a level of "realism" I enjoy
I see a lot of people talk about the 4th quarter come backs and stuff. I always find it is best to slow them down rather than try to stop them. Play loose coverage and allow them to pass underneath in the open field. On the other side I typically run-run-mesh (or another pass play I feel like is a guarantee) just gotta keep the clock churning late. Not sure if that’s what you meant but I assumed lmk
@cswee123 i try that. But cpu only needs 1 play. You call coverage to limit deep n cpu makes ur db run off n leave his man wide open!!! I can't see that til it's to late. Cpu reacts on anything ur guys sit there til it's to late put sliders on 100 n cpu on 0 it's same or worse w the cheating. Played on varsity n easy. Again. Most games are easy wins but it still cheats like crazy when it wants to win . They limited the player in so many ways, then cheat you so blatantly then do it over and over. Every play I rarely play defense cause it's nothing but bs cpu plays u can't stop. Cpu jumping routes from other side of the field. You can't hit open guy cause the defense reacts wo seeing or looking at the ball. Leaving ppl open cause they KNOW where the ball is going . It's not fun. Losing is apart of football. But noone takes a cheating. Its not a fun time it's not a challenge cause u really have no control even over ur own players. It cheats in so many ways not just moving ur players but fazing through ppl. No pass int calls . Every hit is a drop yet ur smash a guy he losses an arm but still catches the ball.??? Ami enjoyed blitz 1 n 2 better than this . Only cpu football game out there besides madden . All others don't play right same cheating tho.
Pay attention to the play type you use @@mbedford20and also who you're controlling during the play. For example, I just dealt with the same issue in the Natty I just played against Georgia. They kept running past my DB and he would stand there. I tend to control my DEs and I noticed that when you rush the QB, if you don't press the speed boost button, the cpu QB doesn't react as fast and things seem to smooth themselves out on its own if that makes sense. Also, if the play you select shows MATCH on the play when you select the play, change your coverage and do either OVERTOP or UNDERNEATH and that should fix that.
I have used this for 15+ seasons playing every game and have not had that many. I did simulate a game and had like 4-5 injuries but this isn't a sim slider set so I didn't really test for that
Idk it works well for me I believe I have it correct (can never be too sure with EA lol). I did just take a quick glance at operation sports and most of the sets I saw there increased them to increase coverage
My problem is I’m a fringe “sweat” with madden/cfb games. I play with cpu sliders such as 100 pass coverage, reaction time, pass/run blocking everything while on Heisman with my accuracy on 25, 0 pass block, 25 run block, 33 pass coverage and reaction time and STILL can BARELY get a good game out of the cpu maybe once or twice a season. Any suggestions??
