Burton - hire this guy! I love step-ons myself and this guy has shown the most dedication and creative thinking for step-ons of anyone I've seen outside of Burton's own development totally on his own accord. Love the passion and innovative thinking in line with Burton's initial and continuing innovations.
Colin, look for the cable park closest to you or when you travel. I’m lucky to have westrock wakepark 1 hr from me. It’s the best and it’s just like snowboarding. Follow @westrockwakepark on IG to look at pics and to get a better idea of what cable park riding is like 🤙🏽
I absolutely love this video! The reactions were amazing to see. Burton should license this to some wakeboard company. I mean with a channel system already there you just need to make the boots more waterfriendly. Looking forward to more of your vids man!
Hey brother long time, as usual great vids. I was wondering I remember seeing one of your vids that you said you had a solution to the clicking sound for the step ons. If you can please pass the info. Thanks in advance
Hi Emmanuel, i never went ahead and tried my ideas. The noise didn’t bother me enough. When the season starts here, let me see if I can try something out and share it with you guys.
@@themidwestshredder if you rub a little wax on the plastic toe cradle, just above the metal toe cleats (where the binding hook slides up and down on the boot), the clicking will go away for quite a while.
Hey man I’m from the mid west like u but have a cabin near minaqua Wisconsin, powder horn mountain is a rlly great place to go if u ever have a chance, lots of powder and a ton of runs.
Hi Tyler, those boots are doing fine. I only used them a handful of times in the water since I have a new wakeboard set up. I still plan on using them on my liquid force board a few times this season. Surprisingly they never got stinky or deteriorated and they look great. I let them dry good after each session and they dried fast. This past winter I used them as my back up boot as well. After the first two days of riding them in the water, I drilled tiny little holes with a small drill bit (almost not visible) to drain water and it worked pretty awesome. Before the winter I put a reflective tape just like what’s on there straight from Burton and my feet stayed completely dry. Even though they work awesome in water, I tell people not to do this unless it’s an extra boot that you’re trying to mess around with. Only reason is because it’s a bulkier boot than a normal wakeboard boot and over time I’m sure they’ll get stinky without proper draining.
@@matejlaskomulej this was something I did for a few days for fun and just to experiment. I’m always curious if things will work so I decided to try it. It worked awesome, but of course the boots are not made to be soaked in water all the time.
Haha not very good at first, but I made some small little holes on the bottom and it worked awesome. I did pull the liners out after each ride and surprisingly they didn't get smelly. I used them on snow twice this season with no problems.

Zintars Beldavs haha thank you! 🙏🏽 I have a lot of fun riding these things for sure!
Haha you are a genius!! 😀
People's reactions to it are the best!
Mike Solo haha I wish the audio would’ve worked better. It was fun though!
Next video: “Burton Step Ons on roller skates, will they carve?”
What a cool dude. Thanks for your passion with Step Ons and Life in general.
Thanks for your kind words Scott 🙏🏽
darn! wanna try this! and drill some drainage holes, lol
Yuri Boiblu do it!! Look up your local wakepark ASAP or find someone with a boat. Btw I already drilled the holes and it worked.
Wow, I had no idea that kind of wakeboarding park existed, that is awesome!

Really cool test! I can't believe how easy it was to get out of the binding while floating in the water. Truly impressed.
Luis Rivas thanks dude 🤙🏽

@@BJOHNSONVT this is what I’ve heard. Haven’t tried it yet. Once the snow comes down, I’ll give it a go. Thank you.
Did they make something for wakeboard since you video? I have supermatic for snowboard and was wandering about using them for wake
They were thinking about it, but they never pulled the trigger on it.

Nice! I’ll have to put that on my list of places to go. Thanks Nathan, I’ll look into Powder Horn Mountain 🤙🏽
Want to try this , hyper lite L/XL bindings do not fit size 12 boot, the straps are too short
The Step Ons worked amazing in the water. If only I had a smaller boot for the set up, it would’ve been even better.
Hey man it’s been a while since your post. I was wondering how those boots are doing now. I’m curious if they started to smell or wear out.

next video "Will they work in snow"
Did they license it from Burton?
Sorry I never saw this comment, but I believe they must've licensed it from them. Everything works the same.
Did you simply use snowboarding boots? Is the water bad for them? I don't suppose step-on whiteboarding boots exist
And what about cleaning? The local wake park's water is a bit muddy and smelly

How’s the drainage lol

Try kitesurfing, i guarantee you'll love it, million times better than wakeboarding
I’ll have to look into that. Very cool.
So you ruined one pair of Step On boots?
the1412 they’re not ruined I still plan on using them. Watch the video...
