I just got one. I'm only starting out learning, but this thing flies nice. What flight times are you getting ? Hope you're recovering after your pneumonia.

Hi Jake, thank you. I have luckily fully recovered from pneumonia. The flight time heavily depends on the head speed and flying style. If you are flying nicely, no acro, you can set the head speed low and get a decent flight time out of that little lipo. You check the lipo voltage after the flight and depending on the voltage extend or lower the timer.

How does it comepare to the M1 ? Some say tail hold is better. Also the servos more durable.
The main blades are just a bit shorter right? Also weighs 10g less.

Hi Chrisbee. I can't provide a good comparison between my M1 and S1 yet as I just made a few easy flights with my S1. What I can say at this point is: for some reason my two M1 helis both have an issue of significant voltage sag after a minute or two of flying. On one of my M1 I tried to solve the issue with upgrading to xt30 connector but that has not solved the problem. The M1 batteries are in good condition. If I fly my M1 nicely (sport flying with light acro) there's no issue though. The second issue with my M1 is related to servos - they are prone to die when used normally (no crashing). After a few flights with my S1 I can say: it flies a little more stable than M1, my feeling is that the tail is more locked in (that should be true even in theory - the tail motor has a larger diameter and thus more torque - faster response). I must say, I really appreciate the bluetooth connectivity and what it brings in terms of FC FW upgradability/tunning via phone app. I am looking forward to see how reliable the servos on my S1 are gonna be. That's all I can say at the moment.

I enjoy your content. I have had no servo issues on the M1. Not saying they should but these things can happen on any micro imho. Looking forward to a more detailed comparison when you have more flights on the S1.@@AndrejSturm

@@AndrejSturmAgreed about potential servo issues on M1 EVO. One servo already stopped working on mine at 150 flights. I fly moderate to hard 3D. Over 430 flights on my M2 V2, over 250 flights on S2, and almost 200 flights on M2 EVO, all with no servo issues. Hoping the S1 servos fare better.
