    Nice little tidbit of info on the black plastic piece with the hole! I usually use the "two finger" method. My bike is a 2018 and bought used, so no owners manual. No biggie! Gots you here to answer questions! BTW, I used your video on the Daves Mod. Young man, you are cut and dried and VERYinformative on what you put out. Thank you for assisting a 54 year old fella!

    Why does the half moon adjustment cantilever keep moving when I try to tighten down the nut. It turns with a nut. Is driving me crazy. LOL

    Thanks for the video. It is indeed a simple task. You mentioned the black plastic piece to be used as a guide. Do you set your maximum slack to the height of that plastic piece? Also, does the bike need to be completely off the ground? Thanks

    • @one_terrabike3151
      @one_terrabike3151  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not to the top of it exactly...more like the top of the chain won't go above the top of the dot on the plastic piece...not very scientific but does the job 🤣. Also, no it doesn't have to be suspended however I found it to be more consistent if I did it that way as if it's left on a slope and in gear the top or bottom can become very, very taunt and give inaccurate readings... If done on the ground ensure you're on a level surface! And I appreciate you for watching! 🙂

      Also make sure to re-check the chain tension with your full weight on the bike at a few spots... the weight will lift the swing-arm and tighten the chain. There may be tight spots in the chain as well. Awesome vid by the way, thanks!

    Where did ya get that front sprocket cover? I have been buying lil red anodized parts but that is cool cause I tried a 16 tooth in the front and had to do some modifications to the stock cover . Thanks man hope that build went well and your ready to rip!

    • @one_terrabike3151
      @one_terrabike3151  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      XRs Only. Probably would rub with a 16t sprocket. Most people run a 42t sprocket in the rear instead. Stock is probably your best option at the moment! Hope this helps!

      For sure man I actually looked on XRs only and seen one wasn’t sure if it was what ya had and something that fits from trial and error vs something that doesn’t seems better these days! Thanks for the help I will be waiting for more XR videos

      I bought mine from XR's Only, but unless the company gets reworked I can't recommend ordering from them as customer support and shipping times are HORRIBLE. Look at the ones made by Hemisphere Off-road as that's an awesome company!

      @one_terrabike3151  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I actually have! If you set the bike back on the ground with the kickstand down using my method it's *exactly* where it needs to be 😎. This way is much more consistent IMO. Try it out if you doubt it
