I don't really have much to add in terms of constructive criticism/potential improvements, but I would like to add my voice. These shadow raids were so appealing. I battled so many Go Rocket team members to rack up the gems, preparing for Mewtwo, then I raided with 4 people (the maximum for me without recruiting random strangers from discord/facebook), and we barely made it to 25% health left. We were pretty disappointed. I know Niantic wants people to go out with friends and do things together, but I don't think they mean for people to be perusing all the online forums and discord servers trying to meet up with strangers in order to play the game. I guess I might have a suggestion, and this is more of a recovery than a rework. I would love to see them give out consolation prizes to those who weren't able to get enough people for the raids. Whether it's a research task, a second round of raids, or some other feature that allows us to get Mewtwo (even without the chance of shiny), I think that would appease a lot of the player base.

I went to every gym in my small town both days of event every time a météo raid appeared by checking the campfire app, did the flare things and spent all day waiting for others, not a single other perso plays here, we have about 20 gyms
My thoughts... I really enjoyed this. I was traveling this weekend and was in a small town in New Mexico for a lunch break and was able to use campfire to coordinate three local folks in town plus the folks I was with and we did two raids with six people EASILY. Again, in a small town, no formal group, just using campfire to get some attention and boom, six people raid party. On Sunday, back home, my wife and I with a third EASILY trio'd a Mewtwo raid. It's interesting listening to you say how unfortunate it is to NOT be able to solo this, then literally in the next breath say "to solo this would be crazy". What's a smaller group than three to you? Two, one? Like, come on, you're contradicting yourself. There are issues with the new system (namely the remote raid limits, gem limits maybe), no one is arguing that. But I think that the laziness we were granted during the pandemic doesn't translate to better. Everyone was enjoying the game a lot before the pandemic. It's hard to revert, I get that. But I would argue getting three people together for one of these raids is not the end of the world. Now I know this isn't universal... but I will tell you what one of the New Mexico dudes said to me... "we're in this small town, we never have enough people", or they didn't know about campfire. Yes, not everyone will be so fortunate (so save your breath small towners), but put in a little effort, and a lot (again, not ALL) of folks will have the chance. Just my two cents. Again, I think there definitely need to be tweaks to some of these changes. I am absolutely not saying this is a perfect system by any stretch. But, is it as bad as everyone is making it out to be? Probably not... but again, I'm willing to put in a little effort, and yes, I have also not remoted because I do not believe the price increase was worth the rewards, but I have adjusted, and I have utilized the tools that I have access to, and was able, in the limited time I had available this weekend, to get in on a few raids under the very limiting circumstances that I was in.
im from poland. there’s an even smaller community than in the us in general, but considering i live in a village - it shrinks down to microscopic. i’ve seen maybe five different people in local gyms (which i have to use a car to get to, too) in a span of a couple months, and they’re mostly low level players. i tried asking in local facebook groups, no one is on those. on instagram, nothing. campfire just as dead. the only way i have friends in the game is because of leekduck, that’s how i get gifts and people to send gifts too. i didn’t even wanna open the game all weekend, seeing how many of my pogo friends got mewtwo as their last caught, while i wasn’t able to participate. yes, maybe it’s “not as bad” but for people in VERY rural areas, it was, frankly, devastating. just my point of view.
It's sad that I've come so indifferent to the game that I couldn't find the motivation to seek out these raids this weekend. The problem is Niantic did a triple nerve: the doubled the priced for raid passes, the put the 5 raid limit on AND they now do in-person only raids. That's honestly what killed it for me. One of the 3 would already been a big nerf but all three and you lost a huge part of the player base. There is no reason why these had to be in person only with the 5 raid limit.
I’m happy to live in a big city and was able to catch two shadow Mewtwo. Unfortunately they both had mid stats and weren’t shiny. It was still fun though!
I fully understand what you are saying, but I'm also glad you saw why they're making it difficult. Instead of being negative about it, you were suggesting possible changes, that wouldn't fully deteriorate Niantic's initial plans for the game. I have little to no access to these raids, but I am working to better my situation, so I can enjoy future events, when they come out. Lots of players have been real negative on the topic of Niantic and Pokémon Go. That negativity actually tricked me into hating it, for awhile. But, then I realized, I was complaining about not wanting to leave my house. The exact opposite of the purpose of the game. I'm tired of being a hermit, I want to make new friends. But, I can't change that, if Niantic reverts it's game, back like lots of players are demanding. I thank you, for being positive on this. Unlike you, I don't have loads of money to spend on PokéCoins, so it means a lot, hearing you debate peacefully what could possibly be changed, while also remembering that Pokémon Go is meant to be a social game and bring about community. Anyway, I hope you have a nice day/night. And, again, thanks for the positivity. It's contagious.
I like how you brought up that point early in the video cause I live in a low activity area and i had to rely on international spoofers for me to take down the raods i found one of them online and he told me he just felt bad that people in the area wpnt be able to get mewtwo down and he got a crew of spoofers tp do raids there so we cpuld at least have a chance the only reason i got shadow mewtwo
Personally I was bummed about this feature only being in person, because I live in a pretty small area with only like 4 gyms and I only have like 2 friends who are each like level 30 who actually play the game so it’s hard not being able to do these raids with no remote raiding
I live in a smalltown, and campfire was really really helpful in finding and communicating with other players. It has its bugs and the map kinda blows, but I think it really helped to be able to communicate w people outside of the main pogo app. i did 17 raids!
I have a small community of random players. Weekends are family time so time was limited. I was able to (sneak away) find full lobbies and friends but only did 14 raids in 2 days. No shiny! No hundo! It really sucks. And I'm sure A LOT of people didn't get a single shiny or good IV mewtwo. So I really appreciate and applaud you going to Alaska and not Santa Monica pier to show to the world not every TH-camr gets a shundo and most people are being (8:02) punished. I watch other youtubers and cringe. It's not FOMO, is FINGMO (excuse the language). I tried my hardest with the limited resources I had and ended up disappointed. But I guess thats RNG and poor planning. Thank you for showing the true side of this event!
I feel for ya man. Me and my two brothers spent all day Saturday raiding the mewtwo and even with the purified gems we only managed to actually beat one. Hope it come back soon ❤
i agree with the legendary shadow raids it feels so exclusive to high level players and big communities the change i see being most ideal is allowing remote raids
I was incredibly lucky this weekend! I traveled to California with my family and was able to link up with the local community where I was and get 8 raids done over the 2 days, one of which was shiny ! On Saturday I found 2 people from campfire and we were able to comfortably trio 3 raids as a level 38 , 39, and 40 using the stop attacking to subdue trick and with meh counters, so I honestly feel like the difficulty of these raids was about right. I agree that the main issue was the cap on gems in the inventory and in the raids, as I feel many solos would have been able to do tier 3s throughout the week if they were able to subdue the bosses on their own. Keep up the great content!
I was so annoyed to find out that the shadow raids can’t be done with remote passes as mewtwo is the only kanto pokemon I don’t have and especially the fact he’s the best pokemon in the game. I feel like I missed out big time
I happen to live in a small community, and I was so disappointed when I learned I wouldn’t be able to get the shadow Mewtwo. I have friends that play the game, but we all started relatively recently and wouldn’t have enough power to take one down. I think you should be able to remote raid depending on your area.
I don't have a local community where I live, but 30 minutes away from me is the university of Michigan and downtown Ann Arbor and I had a blast raiding with so many people. The weather was so nice and the people were too. I wish we could've remote raided it, but I'm glad i found my semi-local community. Also, I got the shiny!
I completely disagree personally cuz i live in a bit of a rural city and have no friends here and drive an hour to play with my friends back home but because of no remote raids everyone was out this weekend and i made soooo many friends and we walked around together and i even drove around a stranger for a weekend lool but this was amazing and everyone used niantic campfire to talk and communicate and i genuinely loved it because i made so many friends and we really got the community to come out.
Make Global raid. Just raids where you can join from the daily research or something like that. Or at least only for big events like Shadow raid EX raids, then give the people like 2-3 "free' global raids and you get rewarded for community and not punished.
I had way way more fun with this being only in person to be honest. Had a group of 70 people at one point in Portland, it was insane fun seeing everyone's excitement
Must be nice to be able to do Mewtwo raids because you have a community around you to do them with, I'm stuck over here just watching other be all happy with their mewtwos and their shinies and I can't even get one
I NEVER GOT TO DO A SHADOW RAID BECAUSE NO REMOTE RAID PASSES! Plus in my state no one really plays, besides some friends and my brothers but NO ONE PLAYS
tnh i was complaining about it only being in person but i had created a big campfire group and ended up getting hellla people and having alot of fun, I think what they should have done was let people do like 2 or 3 remote raids and then you can only raid in person
for in person raids, at least once a week at a set time have 1/3 gyms host the teir 5 at the same time and link the lobbies in sets of 5 or so from random locations around the world. That way people actuly have a reason to attend in dead areas
He's the biggest clown of them all... Biggest Niantic puppet right here but you got all his fake ass followers sucking him through the dry wall that of course he will get it I'm surprised he didn't get a shundo on first attempt im surprised Niantic didn't help there fellow spokes person.
The fact that I got like 20 mewtwo’s, 1 is shiny and perfect, another is just a shiny and one isn’t a shiny but it’s perfect and I’ve been trying to get mewtwo for years and so i’m 100% satisfied
Because the IV floor for shadow raids is 6/6/6, it means that the hundo odds are 1 in 1000. And for the legendary shadow raids, it seems as if the shiny rates are still 1 in 20. Therefore the shadow shundo odds are 1 in 20,000!
Just come to Singapore, but check for school holidays, for tourist spots, come during the school holidays. but if you're not going to tourist spots, come when there's no holidays.
For the lower tier shadow raids, it would of been nice if they introduced new shadow pokemon instead of old ones that were previously FREE to encounter after battling team rocket grunts/ leaders. The fact that Niantic is monetizing previous shadow pokemon that were free to encounter before, seems like they like to recycle old material and put a price tag on it.
Remote passes should be available if the raid is within a certain kk. The gyms are super spread out where I am so by the time we find a group, beat the raid (without glitching), and go to the next one it honestly was barely enough time with me speeding lol my gf got 3 shinies out of the 8 we did and got 2 back to back and 1 on her first try. I was so salty but happy
As a rural player, and have just missed out on mewtwo shadow raids, I would have been happy with the opportunity to do just 1 remote shadow raid. If they can limit 5 per day, why not even 1 shadow remote per day. Im just soooo disappointed after missing out completely
I agree that it feels for some players that Pokemon is making them feel left out so if your not going in a big Town its Impossible for new players or small grops to do the raid
Isn't it really sad that exploring wilderness actually makes this game harder to play? Especially when Niantic's website is littered with images of people finding all kinds of Pokestops and gyms in the middle of fields and mountains that would never actually be approved POIs. And then they patronizingly urge us to play outside...just not that outside. What the hell 😆
Shadow raids are awesome. I can’t wait to see what the next set of raids are. Particularly the 1 and 3 star raids. Getting a great machop and beldum and shiny sneasel last round was great. Hoping for mudkip
I really like the idea of shadow raids. But a solo player should be rewarded for gathering a lot of purified gems by being able to solo raids - even the big boys if enough gems are used
We had all our Raids full of twenty people, multiple raids occuring simultaneously as well. Sometimes only five people present in person so there were hundereds of people spoofing their location.
Hot take I like that the shadow mewtwo is hard to get. It’s the best Pokémon in the game why should it be easy to get, it would be dumb if u could solo the best Pokémon in the game. If I stayed home and used a raid pass it wouldn’t be special to me at all, and I live as rural as it gets. I can’t see a single poke stop or gym from my house I had to drive 30 min just to get to the gym with the mewtwo raids but that made it special.
The composure of looking into the camera and saying that you didn’t get the Shiny Shadow Mewtwo and that you imply it’s ok. The fun is the hunt. That means a lot. For those who were not so lucky, an other chance will come eventually.
I got lucky on Saturday when I found a group to play with and got my shiny. Sunday not so much 😢. There were barely any mewtwo raids and the ones that were there were too far to walk. By the time I would get there the players that were in cars had already done it and moved on.
12:47 let us remote raid shadow raids maybe one for each shadow boss there is So say you did a shadow mewtwo raid you couldn’t do another one but you could still do a shadow beldum raids and this way it would still stick to niantics company values by encouraging people to go outside to do more raids and the more rural of us with no one to raid with would be able to raid and it would keep both sides somewhat happy. That’s my suggestion at least
What gonna to do with remaining purify gem and shards if there were Shadow Raid tier 3&5 were not around in Pokemon Go? Niantic will answer wait for the further notice regarding Shadow Raid. There any linkage and relationship between purify gem and upcoming what Niantic called it HIDDEN GEM will coming in the next Season of Hidden Gem.??
At least you got a functional Hundo. I purified 2 93% to get my first Mewtwo hundo. I also have a 98 and 2 96 Shadows so still a great day. All Shiny Mewtwos that I got we all 2 stars. It was rough playing with 3 people and occasionally getting people to join.
my strategy was just spam attack as much as i could and then quickly jump my finger to the gem. yeah my damage output during rage might have been really low, but low is still better than nothing i guess? lowest we went was 5 players, my friend at lvl50, me lvl49 and then lvl36, lvl39 and lvl42 players. it took just over half of the clock for us to subdue that Mewtwo raid. neither me or my fried used megas (well we had psychic megas for xl boost but noting else.) i started that raid with 10 gems and in the end got enough shards back that i ended up with 11 gems and 1 shard. i did try to use all my allowed 5 but apparently it only used 2 or something, as i got 9 shards back after the raid. also it took me 19 raids to hit my first shiny. and out of all 50 that we found during this event, luckily only one low iv one escaped.
My community is hard to find especially on campfire, used my master ball on my first raid because I really wanted it, no shiny, only got 2, but i am happy.

3:20 savage season?
I like how you brought up that point early in the video cause I live in a low activity area and i had to rely on international spoofers for me to take down the raods i found one of them online and he told me he just felt bad that people in the area wpnt be able to get mewtwo down and he got a crew of spoofers tp do raids there so we cpuld at least have a chance the only reason i got shadow mewtwo
This is a awesome video and shadow mewto is awesome nice video mistic7 😊
Personally I was bummed about this feature only being in person, because I live in a pretty small area with only like 4 gyms and I only have like 2 friends who are each like level 30 who actually play the game so it’s hard not being able to do these raids with no remote raiding
What team on Pokémon go did everyone pick
🟡
@ same
I agree with you that this is difficult and should be more accessible, but it is still a cool feature! GREAT VIDEO!!!
They should only let u do like 3-5 remote so people who can’t go out can atleast get 1 mewto
I live in a smalltown, and campfire was really really helpful in finding and communicating with other players. It has its bugs and the map kinda blows, but I think it really helped to be able to communicate w people outside of the main pogo app. i did 17 raids!
I was lucky on saturday Because in my first raid was a shiny mewtwo for me 🤩
Same almost the floor in IV’s though
@@penvawwhat are the floor IVS
@@caaleb6/6/6
Same, I got an 62% Weather Boosted Shiny Shadow Mewtwo with 7-Atk/11-Defence/10-Hp on my first raid of the morning 😄
I dedicated around 10 hours to this event, only managed to get 3 raids…
Appreciate you speaking out for the rural/small town players like myself. Thank you for taking us into consideration Mystic, unlike Niantic
My dex entry mewtwo was a 98 shadow shiny. First ball caught.
Rework:
-More purified gems that you can use in a raid (5→8)
-More purified gems that you can store in the item bag (10→80)
-Remote Raid Pass alowed
Imagine being in your small local area and Mystic7 joins your raid 😂
we managed with 3 players, agree we should be able to carry more gems
I feel for ya man. Me and my two brothers spent all day Saturday raiding the mewtwo and even with the purified gems we only managed to actually beat one. Hope it come back soon ❤
Hey Mystic7 I know people will say I wasted my masterball on a gallerian articuno. However the very next day I caught the gallerin moltraces well
i agree with the legendary shadow raids it feels so exclusive to high level players and big communities the change i see being most ideal is allowing remote raids
I feel like I missed out big time
I got a shadow shiny Mewtwo on my first raid 🎉
Congrats on the trio. Also successfully did that but moveset was psychic.
I happen to live in a small community, and I was so disappointed when I learned I wouldn’t be able to get the shadow Mewtwo. I have friends that play the game, but we all started relatively recently and wouldn’t have enough power to take one down. I think you should be able to remote raid depending on your area.
You couldn't do legendaries in the first place before remote raids.
I agree and it would be fun to solo tier 5 raids.
I feel like you should only have to be in person if you're hosting the raid but everyone you invite should be able to remote raid
This!! This would help SO MUCH
I completely disagree personally cuz i live in a bit of a rural city and have no friends here and drive an hour to play with my friends back home but because of no remote raids everyone was out this weekend and i made soooo many friends and we walked around together and i even drove around a stranger for a weekend lool but this was amazing and everyone used niantic campfire to talk and communicate and i genuinely loved it because i made so many friends and we really got the community to come out.
Make Global raid. Just raids where you can join from the daily research or something like that. Or at least only for big events like Shadow raid EX raids, then give the people like 2-3 "free' global raids and you get rewarded for community and not punished.
Love ur vids so much
I had way way more fun with this being only in person to be honest. Had a group of 70 people at one point in Portland, it was insane fun seeing everyone's excitement
lucky you
Must be nice to be able to do Mewtwo raids because you have a community around you to do them with, I'm stuck over here just watching other be all happy with their mewtwos and their shinies and I can't even get one
Same bro
I NEVER GOT TO DO A SHADOW RAID BECAUSE NO REMOTE RAID PASSES! Plus in my state no one really plays, besides some friends and my brothers but NO ONE PLAYS
tnh i was complaining about it only being in person but i had created a big campfire group and ended up getting hellla people and having alot of fun, I think what they should have done was let people do like 2 or 3 remote raids and then you can only raid in person
I don’t know man I went with some friends to an area and we could do it as a group of 2 lvl 34 a lvl 32 a lvl 31 and a lvl 23 and easily
Hit the nail on the head with the feedback
for in person raids, at least once a week at a set time have 1/3 gyms host the teir 5 at the same time and link the lobbies in sets of 5 or so from random locations around the world. That way people actuly have a reason to attend in dead areas
also just make the boss hp depending on the amount of players that are joining.
Didn’t you just make a video yesterday saying how the game is dying? literally 24 hours later and you’re playing the game and you’re super hyped
LOL
So fun watching you raid. You are so grateful for every catch haha
When you subdue the shadow raid boss,it should drop down to 10% defense. That'd make it feel really fun and satisfying.
As a rural player, and have just missed out on mewtwo shadow raids, I would have been happy with the opportunity to do just 1 remote shadow raid. If they can limit 5 per day, why not even 1 shadow remote per day. Im just soooo disappointed after missing out completely
I agree that it feels for some players that Pokemon is making them feel left out so if your not going in a big Town its Impossible for new players or small grops to do the raid
even in a popular area, when its not a specific timeframe like 11-2 or something it’s impossible to find a group nowadays
You did well at least none of the raids is lagging, even though I caught a shiny, almost all of my raids are very laggy
Shadow raids are awesome. I can’t wait to see what the next set of raids are. Particularly the 1 and 3 star raids. Getting a great machop and beldum and shiny sneasel last round was great. Hoping for mudkip
I say its going to be the Galarian birds or even the Regular ones maybe
I really like the idea of shadow raids. But a solo player should be rewarded for gathering a lot of purified gems by being able to solo raids - even the big boys if enough gems are used
Some could be solod but a five star raid shouldn’t be solo able, let alone a shadow mewtwo. Makes the game too easy and less rewarding
@@turkeyfeat216 did you read it all tho? I said it should require a hefty amount of gems to be able to solo. Hard work should pay off. Also as solo.
@@Nonentity33 getting gems is easy af, a five star raid shouldn’t be solo able
@@turkeyfeat216 such open-minded person
@@Nonentity33 such a lazy person
We had all our Raids full of twenty people, multiple raids occuring simultaneously as well. Sometimes only five people present in person so there were hundereds of people spoofing their location.
Totally agree, I couldn’t do it because every raid I went to no one was there to do the raid with
Hot take I like that the shadow mewtwo is hard to get.
Bidoof will crush this mewtwo no diff
The composure of looking into the camera and saying that you didn’t get the Shiny Shadow Mewtwo and that you imply it’s ok. The fun is the hunt. That means a lot. For those who were not so lucky, an other chance will come eventually.
I did not get the shiny either by the way what is your trainer code I love your videos I have watched all of them😅
Even using 3 of my accounts at 1s I still can’t beat it.
82 mewtwo raids only 1 shiny 57 iv rip and my best IV overall is 91. Sad RNG
I got shiny shadow mewtwo on my very first mewtwo raid
Quick tip: the 98 mewtwo u could have purified as it gives +2 to all the ivs so
I got lucky on Saturday when I found a group to play with and got my shiny. Sunday not so much 😢. There were barely any mewtwo raids and the ones that were there were too far to walk. By the time I would get there the players that were in cars had already done it and moved on.
I couldnt even do one raid. Thanks niantic
Time to quit the game forever 🙄
12:47 let us remote raid shadow raids maybe one for each shadow boss there is So say you did a shadow mewtwo raid you couldn’t do another one but you could still do a shadow beldum raids and this way it would still stick to niantics company values by encouraging people to go outside to do more raids and the more rural of us with no one to raid with would be able to raid and it would keep both sides somewhat happy. That’s my suggestion at least
Since i have a small community where i live, i never got the shiny shadow mewtwo
It was rough playing with 3 people and occasionally getting people to join.
my strategy was just spam attack as much as i could and then quickly jump my finger to the gem.
yeah my damage output during rage might have been really low, but low is still better than nothing i guess?
lowest we went was 5 players, my friend at lvl50, me lvl49 and then lvl36, lvl39 and lvl42 players.
it took just over half of the clock for us to subdue that Mewtwo raid.
neither me or my fried used megas (well we had psychic megas for xl boost but noting else.)
i started that raid with 10 gems and in the end got enough shards back that i ended up with 11 gems and 1 shard.
i did try to use all my allowed 5 but apparently it only used 2 or something, as i got 9 shards back after the raid.
also it took me 19 raids to hit my first shiny.
and out of all 50 that we found during this event, luckily only one low iv one escaped.
My community is hard to find especially on campfire, used my master ball on my first raid because I really wanted it, no shiny, only got 2, but i am happy.
that first shadow 98 you got is a functional hundo because the hp/stamina doesn't change
