I Rode Fury 325 in the front, and back row, and those 2 rides changed my perspective on coasters and made me a coaster enthusiast. Best coaster I've ever ridden, and I'll never forget it.
I DEFINITELY agree but.....I haven't ridden X2 and A LOT of people say it's the best. Goliath at Six Flags over Georgia is flat out boring compared to this ride. Intimidater 305 is good but the I'm more of a fan of Fury's floater over Intimidater's snappy...
As an NC resident myself, I can safely say Fury 325 is the best. The sheer speed left me speechless after my first ride. I’ve done the very front and the very back and both deliver very different rides. That one support during the helix always makes me move my head away. It’s by far the craziest head chopper moment for me.
This is the rollercoaster that made me an enthusiast. Carowinds was my home park for the last decade. I remember following Fury’s construction and waiting in line for 3 hours to ride it opening day. Ever since then it’s been my favorite coaster. And this years crew was AWESOME!!!! They were super friendly, never stapled, and pumped trains out!! Fury is one of those rare coasters you have to ride before you die
I absolutely LOVE every B&M giga. I see a part of it as a way for B&M to step out of their comfort zone, especially with the “weak” Orion. We have seen that MASSIVE over-banked turn on Orion. Usually B&M is really conservative with their layouts and don’t take huge risks with outer banks or crazy elements. Once the economy in theme parks are back to normal, I could most definitely see myself being extremely excited to hear about a new giga. Basically, I love seeing B&M step out of their comfort zone. It’s a sense of power and shock to me.

I have it as the top Giga of the 4 I've ridden. I have it a few spots ahead of I-305. Mily and Orion are pretty far back from the other 2 for me. Fury is a Top 10 overall, and Top 5 steel coaster for me. I agree it should be a contender for the best coaster in the world and it is easily one of the most re-ridable coasters. I also agree that the front and back both offer great experiences.
Even though pretty much no one considers this coaster “the best in the world” anymore, it’s definitely the coaster the most people would unanimously agree is amazing, more than Steve, Lrod, Mille, and way more than I305 and Skyrush. Although all five of those coasters look better than Fury in my opinion.
The reason this coaster wins poles is because no one dislikes it. Almost every single person who has ridden Fury puts it in their top 10 if not 5. You can’t really say that about any other coaster besides maybe SteVe
Now that I rode it 15 times in the last 2 days, I understand why everyone agrees on this one. Fury may not be your #1, but everyone can agree it's an amazing experience and some kind of masterpiece for B&M.
Can you really make an opinion on how it "looks" lmao. Get out and ride them and you'll find the only coaster that keeps up with fury is steel vengeance and maybe I305
I'm doing a 5-park road trip in June (all CF Parks), and Fury is #2 only to Steel Vengeance on my list of most anticipated new coasters. I have always loved B&M' ever since riding the original Batman at SFGAm in the early 90s. I don't get why there would be seat belts, I went to KI last year and neither Diamondback nor Orion had them, only those glorious clamshells.

Poor Steel Dragon doesn't get a mention at the end lol! Fury is unbelievably good. The more recent B&M coasters in general typically feel like the "safe" option, but Fury feels like they were let loose to break all the rules.
The gigas I've ridden are Mille, I305, and Fury. I305 and Fury are definitely my favorites. I've never seen them honor back row requests. When a grouper wasn't present, I snagged some back row rides. In my 50+ rides, the only time I've ever gotten any airtime between the drop & treble-clef was in the front row, far left seat. Still, the speed through that section is incredible. On 5 of my 7 days at the park (1 of 3 this year), Fury had quite a rattle, very bad in 2018. Maybe I'm a spoiled Intamin fanboy, or maybe I still haven't gotten Fury at its best. I prefer the Intamin gigas, for their sense of speed, superior views from the top, smooth rides, and insane intensity (especially i305--my favorite). But Fury is still in my top 5% of coasters I've ever ridden, and I'm someone who likes everything. So even if my praise of Fury isn't as high as it is with others, I still love it a lot.

Yep 10/10. Fury is a masterpiece - perfect for Carowinds - the best of the 4 U.S. Gigas, and easily re-rideable too, unlike i305. Crazy there are no U.S. B&M or Intamin Hypers or Gigas west of Chicago. Would love to see B&M top Fury. Sea World San Antonio has the land (south side of park behind Texas Stingray) and borrowing capacity to add one of these if they ever decide to go after the thrill seeker market in a meaningful way. "Everything is bigger in Texas" should apply to Gigas too!
I just got back from Carowinds yesterday, and I can say from experience that Fury is a completely different breed. No other coaster even comes close to replicating the unique feel that Fury has. It’s like if you took Millennium Force, got rid of the bad things about it, and made the good things about it even better. The ride is so out of control and shows no mercy. When you ride in the front, it feels like 50 leaf blowers are plowing your face. It is currently my second favorite coaster, above The Voyage and only Steel Vengeance is better than it.
My home park and ive rode it a lot and its definitely my favorite but its the only giga ive ridden and now i want to compare it to all the other giga coasters and even others. Never done a strata. Hope to do top thrill dragster and or kingda ka one day. And velocicoaster looks super unique too.
A few years ago I went to a funeral in Hilton head Island and the original route from Northern Virginia was flooded due to a hurricane so we had to take I 81 to I 77 the Carolinas and I knew Carolyn‘s was right off of I 77 at the North of South Carolina state line and within 3 miles of the park there was this down hill elevation and I saw Fury and Intimidator that far in the distance and man those coasters are enormous. And my whole body dropped once I saw that skyline of Carowinds. I honestly could not believe my I my eyes and I think it is the greatest skyline I have ever seen for a theme park in my life. But I never been to Carowinds in my life and only just passed it on the way to Hilton head Island but driving on interstate 77 especially southbound through downtown Charlotte going to Columbia and seeing Carowinds such a magical moment and I would much prefer cross on the South Carolina state line on I 77 rather than on I 95.
When I rode Behemoth I preferred the back but when I rode Leviathan it was a tie between the front and the back since the trains aren't as long and the drop is much bigger and the speed is much faster. Perhaps that's why every park with a B&M giga sized hypers are paired with a B&M hyper with staggered seating trains; so that the extreme elements in the front and back of the long trains are an even match for the high speeds of the Giga sized B&M hyper. I did prefer Behemoth over Leviathan due to both having more airtime and a significantly longer prime ride duration, and even though I've never visited King's Island, I'm sure I'd prefer Diamondback to Orion. But Carowinds is the only park where I'm sure I prefer the giga sized B&M hyper to the more standard sized BYM hyper, since 1: I'm not fond of Intimidator's layout and trim breaks on the 1st two camelbacks and 2: Fury 325 is B&M's best coaster that has enough elements and duration taken at such a fast speed. It's not perfect; I'd prefer it if it had untrimmed camelbacks earlier in the ride, but it is most likely the world's best giga and I'd also probably like it even better than Behemoth, Diamondback or Shambala. It's probably even B&M's best coaster. I prefer Millennium Force to Leviathan, but I'm pretty sure I'd prefer Fury 325 to both Behemoth and Millennium Force. I'm not sure if I think Fury 325 would beat Steel Vengeance, but I just might think so if I ever get a chance to ride it, which I hope I can do someday. Thanks for creating and posting this review!
I wouldn't really call it a Laterals coaster, It has been a long time since I've been on it (2017 in fact) but I don't remember being thrown around, especially since I don't consider whippy transitions to be laterals. I will however consider I305 to be better, unless I get another ride on this since again, it's been a while, and I305 is still fresh on my mind
I had dreamed of a 300 foot B&M after riding Diamondback. I remember when this was announced and I was obsessed with that first hill then SV and Orion were built and then I went sky diving. Orion’s drop was as good as Fury so I got my fix their. By 2020 my hyped really died down for Fury I only did because iron Gwazi was closed but once I rode Fury in 2021 I was stunned I under estimated the speed feeling it felt like I was gliding on a magic carpet. It is my number 1 without question and it was well worth the 6 year wait.
4:45 that was a huge issue for enthusiast because how frustrating it was 4:52 but think fully this issue was improved for the most part but it’s just because it just depends on groupers at the load platform or crowd levels, and it’s started to be my top steel coaster list for me
@@CanobieCoaster yeah but Carowinds is one of the cedar fair parks that due grouping at loading platforms like kings island,I think the only coasters at carowinds should worry about this issue is Fury,Intimidator,Nighthawk, sometimes Copperhead Strike and Vortex
After riding this 2 days ago man it really exceeded my expectations. I love everything about it. Might not be my number 1 since it’s Iron Gwazi. It’s my number 2.
This truly is one of the Goats. I’d say the Goats of the US that are commonly in peoples #1 spot is this, SteVe, Lrod, Voyage, and I305. But you could argue fury is more of a complete ride than any of those. I prefer Voyage and SteVe to it, but it’s not a landslide win
Such an unique Giga. It also inspired other manufactures to design low terrain elements and rapid transitions on Gigas, Hypers... There wouldn't be some of Fury's elements if we haven't i305.
I might be crazy but i feel like this didnt live up to my expectations. I came with a background of Leviathan being my most ridden ride by far, and after travelling 12 hours to carowinds, i honestly felt like the ride felt pretty similar with some mild airtime on the banked turns and slightly stronger airtime. I very much enjoy the pacing of the ride and its overall size in nature, but I was expecting a ride near the quality of something like steel vengeance and i was let down I respect your opinion though, and i still think your review is great
Wow a B&M that has stronger airtime than floater it's a wonder :P It does looks like the best B&M hyper style ride, how does the drop compare with hyperion? (It's the tallest I've done) , and sad you have to pay for the lockers
Though I place I305 just above Fury 325, I enjoy Fury more because it truly is a good balance of well above average intensity, and re-ridability . My mother as a senior has ridden it a few times with me. Which is something I would not allow her to do, is ride I305 as a senior.
5:42 this seems pretty strange coming from someone who regularly rides Leviathan - Canada’s Wonderland because if you look towards the right, you see the rest of the park as if it was a toy and see the entire GTA skyline. (It’s huge.) Unfortunately on the left, it looks like a dump. Towards the front you see so many neighbourhoods you can’t count.
Fury 325 actually pays tribute to the American Revolution, when Charlotte was "a hornet's nest of rebellion", it’s unconfirmed if the color has to do with the nba team, but it could be possible.
@@CanobieCoaster I agree, there's a reason teams pick color schemes, for the most part, they WORK!! I'm actually a sports youtuber, so I might be a bit biased lol..
when I went in 2023 early June I was skeptical it looked similar to millennium force and thats Not my favorite thing but my first ride front row it took my number 2 spot it has dropped to 6 by no fault of it’s own but it’s such a good ride
Our city's mascot and symbol was the hornets nest since the 1800s even before the basketball team. The hundred year old houses have hornets nest plaques on the front
The story of Carowinds only having one standout coaster reminds me of Knotts only having one TRUE reliable standout in Silver Bullet. Don't get me wrong, Ghostrider and Hangtime, and Xcelerator are good, but they aren't as reliable as B&M's Silver Bullet. I TRULY hope Knotts gets another B&M, they seem to get a big ride every 5 years (2018 Hangtime, 2023 Montezoomas re-imagining), here's hoping for 2027/2028 the 30th anniversary of when Cedar Fair bought Knott's from the Knott Family (December 30, 1997)
My expectations for this coaster are incredibly low. B&M's idea of airtime is crawling over hill tops and I find every B&M I have ever been on (ALOT of them) wanting of actual forces. If you want to see true ejector, look at El Toro and if you want good forces, Intimin have mastered the art. Will be happy to be disproven this next week but I doubt it.
@@CanobieCoaster If it is decent it will be the first B&M that has wowed me. I always see these reviews on coasters that claim ejector airtime over the hills of various B&Ms, and then I go ride it and it isn't even lifting me out of my seat, instead just crawling over hills. I am incredibly excited for I-305 though, looks like a great ride. If it has the reputation of being too forceful I will probably like it. No matter what the ride does, I want to be able to FEEL it.
@@CanobieCoaster It is the best B&M I have ridden but nowhere near the best coaster ever. Rode it 4 times in front back mid front and I am quite happy that it does not crawl over hills like every other B&M The Golden ticket awards are a joke to have it as #1, the people who voted that way probably have not ridden much else. It would be somewhere around 15 for me. Pantheon and Maxx Force are my top 2 right now.
@@spider0804 My man Fury goes about 20 mph faster than Pantheon and max force, and is like 150 feet taller and thousands of feet longer, maybe the golden ticket awards aren't a joke and you have no clue what you're talking about
@@theduck9591 Considering I have ridden well over half the coasters in the country including the ones you mention I do indeed know what I am talking about and am entitled to my opinion.
Lol you be reviewing so many good coasters lately. Of course the one and only Fury 325 is a legendary legend of all legends in the coaster industry. What isn't there to love about probably the most fun coaster in the world period. Fantastic airtime, it's not insane ejector but better, its he amazing sustained strong floater which is the best and most breathtaking fun airtime you can ever experience. And mix hat with probably the best first drop in the entire world and even good positives on its pullout which is unique considering this is a B&M. Fury 325 is for everyone, well maybe not the people to scared to ride such a giant. But the mix of positive Gs, negative Gs, the fast turns side to side. The tunnel, the unique elements. All you can not get on a normal B&M. Oh and don't forget those night rodes. I can go all day talking about Fury but I can't, it's the ride of your life.
It groups together small and large versions of what’s essentially the same ride type: from Hollywood Dream in Japan, Goliath at La Ronde can be grouped together with hypers like Diamondback and gigas like Fury. The main difference with those rides is their height. To me it makes sense to think of those rides as the same ride type instead of arbitrarily sorting them by height. Just spitballing here but perhaps it’s also a better term for countries that don’t use imperial units since the hyper and giga classification is done in feet instead of meters.
I know B&M calls all the models like this hypers. I go with mega coaster sometimes to group all layouts like this since hyper also can refer to 200-299 ft tall coasters specifically.
Sorry but I just can’t agree with 2:43. To this day I still believe Carowinds and Canada’s Wonderland to be messy parks because of this. A hyper coaster is simply outclassed by a giga coaster. They’re more or less the same model, one simply has more height. With that much money there’s potential for 2 amazing coasters of different types. Having 2 near identical B&Ms is just a waste.
They feel like different rides to me. I view it similar to a park with two wood coasters. Same model, but they can coexist if the layouts are different enough.
@@CanobieCoaster I think a more reasonable comparison would be a park with 2 (non-dueling) GCIs. Just not the way to go imo. To be fair, America had lots of trouble with Intamin and RMC wasn’t as prominent when these coasters were built, so B&M was more or less the only option for a coaster of this size.
This is my most ridden coaster and I find it to be good but very overrated. I mean I guess it has a better quantity of airtime than 305 but none of the moments are as strong as the hill under the lift on 305. Plus the intensity isn't there as much

I agree.
Glad you love the speed and power!
How long is the wait time.
Depends on the day.
@@CanobieCoaster Then how long is the wait time on Saturday or sunday
My home park and ive rode it a lot and its definitely my favorite but its the only giga ive ridden and now i want to compare it to all the other giga coasters and even others. Never done a strata. Hope to do top thrill dragster and or kingda ka one day. And velocicoaster looks super unique too.
This one is the best giga.
This is my fav steel coaster and my over all second fav coaster
Nice!
This park definitely has a great skyline.
💖Fury 325 Forever💖
An amazing one.
The discrepancy between Intimidator and Fury 325 is extra great since you have arguably the worst B&M hyper with easily the best B&M giga.
@@CanobieCoaster yeah, that pretty much nails it.
Perfect roller coaster
It's a fantastic ride.
Those speed hills definitely give lateral motion for me.
Have you ridden The Smiler
Yes, it's a great ride.
Fury 325 never disappoints.
@@CanobieCoaster it doesn’t. Many say it runs slow in the morning but It didn’t to me at all. That first ride alone was worth my flight and hotel.
4:45 that was a huge issue for enthusiast because how frustrating it was 4:52 but think fully this issue was improved for the most part
but it’s just because it just depends on groupers at the load platform or crowd levels, and it’s started to be my top steel coaster list for me
This was an issue pre-covid. A lot of parks grouped during covid.
Glad you loved it!
I think Fury blows Iron Gwazi out of the water
@@williamjones9707 I don’t know man. I can see why it’s many people’s number 1.
5:19 you mean Hypers?
I know B&M calls any coaster like this a hyper regardless of size. I went with mega coaster since hyper can have a size connotation of 200-299 ft.
Do you know airtime thrills?
Yes I met him at Valleyfair.
I prefer only a small handful of coasters over this one.
@@CanobieCoaster and that’s saying a lot for your monstrous count
Such an unique Giga. It also inspired other manufactures to design low terrain elements and rapid transitions on Gigas, Hypers... There wouldn't be some of Fury's elements if we haven't i305.
This ride really is B&M's best.
Going this weekend!!
Enjoy!
I very much enjoy the pacing of the ride and its overall size in nature, but I was expecting a ride near the quality of something like steel vengeance and i was let down
I respect your opinion though, and i still think your review is great
Fury's extra length is what seals the deal for me.
it is a wonderful masterpiece.
Yes
Wow a B&M that has stronger airtime than floater it's a wonder :P
It does looks like the best B&M hyper style ride, how does the drop compare with hyperion? (It's the tallest I've done) , and sad you have to pay for the lockers
Hyperion's drop has sustained ejector. Fury has floater for the drop, but it's sustained much longer.
Though I place I305 just above Fury 325, I enjoy Fury more because it truly is a good balance of well above average intensity, and re-ridability . My mother as a senior has ridden it a few times with me. Which is something I would not allow her to do, is ride I305 as a senior.
It's so reridable.
I love the feeling of being pushed down on the right and left turns
Those turns are wild.
I have I305 at #4 and Fury 325 at #6, so very close but I just slightly prefer I305’s intensity. I love the ejector moments on Fury 325 though!
I prefer the airtime based Fury.
I love the view on Leviathan mostly because I just focus on the park.
Fury 325 actually pays tribute to the American Revolution, when Charlotte was "a hornet's nest of rebellion", it’s unconfirmed if the color has to do with the nba team, but it could be possible.
Ok thanks for the background!
It is B&M's best creation!
Yes
What other parks here in America besides Cedar Fair parks would add B&M Giga’s
Maybe a Busch park.
I think that the drop was better in the front because it kinda feels like you’re hanging there for a second before you actually start falling
That's fair.
Id love to see a park build a B&M hyper in the style of fury.
That would be neat.
I still think !-305 is better but I can definitely see why many prefer this
Intimidator 305 is definitely more intense, but this one is more fun while still having intensity to it.
best creation bnm has ever made
I think so.
ive been watching videos about this ride because i’m ridding it soon and i’m terrified
It's amazing.
4:03 ive never seen fury form this angle
It's a great angle.
They need to make a Charlotte "Bobcat/panther" (Charlotte's NBA/NFL teams) themed floorless inversion coaster, maybe call it Mauler..
I encourage more rides to be themed to sports.
I prefer this to Millennium Force.
Not gonna lie the trim is hitting really hard this hear
Sorry to hear that.
I literally felt the sting on Fury 325 today. I got stung by a bee while riding.
Oh no!
Whenever I hear people say B&M doesn’t make rides as good as they use to, I just say “are you familiar with Fury”.
They still make plenty of other good rides too.
Our city's mascot and symbol was the hornets nest since the 1800s even before the basketball team. The hundred year old houses have hornets nest plaques on the front
That's cool, thank you!
Best 2010s roller coaster
One of them. It was an amazing decade for rides with RMC's emergence and other manufacturers evolving.
Knott's really could use a B&M hyper or giga.
It can't match the ejector of El Toro, but this ride combines lats and airtime at points before going to very strong and sustained floater.
Imagine one day we get one with a beyond vertical drop
It's possible if B&M is showing beyond vertical drops on dives now.
@@CanobieCoaster that’s going to feel so cool
Interesting how such a ginormous and steep drop only delivers floater airtime...
It's the way they designed it.
@@CanobieCoaster probably in the steepness.
The sustained airtime is fantastic along with that sustained speed.
I Thought Fury 325 Stands 320 Feet Tall And Drops 325 Feet Maybe I Got It Mixed Up
The height is 325 ft.
B&Ms that rip your face off, Montu Alpengiest- Katun- Pyreenes-Batman- Dragon Kahn/ Kumba- Afterburn in the same park.
A great combo.
Mega coaster?
It groups together small and large versions of what’s essentially the same ride type: from Hollywood Dream in Japan, Goliath at La Ronde can be grouped together with hypers like Diamondback and gigas like Fury. The main difference with those rides is their height. To me it makes sense to think of those rides as the same ride type instead of arbitrarily sorting them by height.
Just spitballing here but perhaps it’s also a better term for countries that don’t use imperial units since the hyper and giga classification is done in feet instead of meters.
@@eriklakeland3857 agreed
I know B&M calls all the models like this hypers. I go with mega coaster sometimes to group all layouts like this since hyper also can refer to 200-299 ft tall coasters specifically.
%The Trebele Celf Is B&Ms Best Turnaround!"
Goliath's Turnaround *Has Left The Chat*
That's a fantastic turnaround too.
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW RIDE THATS IT.
Love it.
overall I give it a 9.8 just cause the kinda boring helix and that one turn
besides that its just so good especially the drop and the treble clef
That's fair.
30m was a steal.
The park got the signature ride they paid for.
Riding this in the front, pulling into the station with a bone dry face and mouth from the wind 🤣
It's a rush.
It's getting repaired.
I saw!
man carowinds is awsome i got a seson pass and man all year of fun for not a lot of money and scarowinds is GOLD the NC side is better ;)
Nice!
I love this coaster! Do you?
Sure do.
algo
Thanks!
This is my most ridden coaster and I find it to be good but very overrated. I mean I guess it has a better quantity of airtime than 305 but none of the moments are as strong as the hill under the lift on 305. Plus the intensity isn't there as much
It doesn't have ejector airtime or intensity like I305, but I think it's a much better ride overall for airtime.
