  • Lech Coaster is arguably Vekoma's masterpiece. Located at Legendia in Poland, this Bermuda Blitz roller coaster showcases everything the next-generation Vekoma roller coasters are capable of. The ride is smooth, fast-paced, and loaded with airtime and crushing positive Gs. This coaster is a greyout machine!

    Lech Coaster Is In My Opinion Vekoma's Best Coaster. I Really Wonder Why No Other Parks Build A Bermuda Blitz.
    But Hey. Their Wildcat Model Could Compete Against Lech Coaster.
    Great Video! 👍

    • @Soonjai
      @Soonjai 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      To me it feels like that going forward the Wildcat and Hyperspace Warp models will be the go-to Lifthill layouts for most Parks when it comes to Vekoma clones. Lech might just be the oddball case where the ride was intended to be clonable, ends up being a bit too intense for it´s own good and remains essentially as a custom Layout variant of their new Sitdown model.

    This has been on my radar for a long time. I will take this grey-out challenge! i305's turn does have me seeing some grey on the outsides, but I never totally lose my vision anymore. I'd be interested to see if this one can do it to me. Beyond that, this ride's mix of positives, negatives, inversions, smooth ride, and mostly great pacing, sounds like something I would love.

    Finally rode this (June 2022). Top of the league for intense coasters I reckon. On our trip you could stay in seat and re-ride, usually needed a break after the 3rd ride in a row.
    The first drop, first front row ride, mental. Well worth the trip to legendia.

    I didn’t get a single greyout on this thing but it still managed to physically destroy me (although i have been awake for more than 32 hours when i rode it. Might play a big factor there…). Really love this thing! It’s smooth yet intense.
    The sensation of experiencing airtime while greying out is one i only got on Zadra. That big sustained ejector hill after the outward banked stall (if it is called like that) always made my head feel numb because the pullout of said element is so tight.
    Poland has some crazy coasters and i really hope i‘ll be able to get there again this december for Winterfest.

    I bought the crazy cheap season ticket this year and go to Legendia at least once a month, primarily to ride Lech coaster. I never grey out, so I can ride it 20+ times a day without any headache. Usually there's a bit more people on Saturdays but still waiting time is max 10 minutes. On Sundays the park is dead so I was riding every single launch (operators waited for the small group of weirdos running around looping this thing ). The only other attraction worth checking out is the Phoenix imo. Devil's loop is rough and uncomfortable and the third coaster is gone now. When you're on Poland, definitely go and check Lech coaster. Hyperion and Zadra are equally great but Energylandia is huge and crowded, while Legendia (and Lech coaster) is mostly empty and you can have fun all day without waiting.

    • @CanobieCoaster

    Here's a history about Vekoma and their cloned coasters:
    During the 1990s and 2000s, Vekoma built compact coasters at many parks like the suspended looping coasters from the standard model. When those Vekoma suspended looping coasters were cloned, that was because the parks wanted a cheap and marketable compact inverted coaster designed for thrills, with an action packed layout and five inversions. Most people and enthusiasts said they were going to have a fun ride on those coasters, but the restraints and trackwork turned the intense five inversion ride into...
    A) A dull experience
    B) An ok experience
    C) A torture experience
    D) An amazing experience, often giving a 9.5
    E) A genuinely good experience

    Lech Coasyer is a true Vekoma masterpiece, thos shows what new Vekomacan do. It has very strong ejectorairtimeand very fast whippy inversions. That twdited S hill pulls -1.6 Gs which is insane, and that's just 1 moment of the ride. America, get some of these, we need them bad.

  • @KondaaKage

    Knowing how intense this is, is why I think I would prefer the new-gen Vekomas with chainlifts rather than the launched ones. Though I haven't ridden any, the one with lifts seem to have much better pacing than the launched ones. This is especially knowing that the pacing of the launched coasters may be highly affected by trims (Abyssus and especially Wrath of Zeus). I think the only exception would be FLY if I ever get the chance to ride it as well as the other new-gen Vekomas. Great review as always, can't wait to see what comes next! :D

    I really have to get back to this Park during a Summer day. My first, and so far only, visit was a late October day in 2018 and because of fog and very light rain the Park opened with only 5 guests, myself included. I feel like Lech never got a chance to really warm up that day because even in the afternoon when a few more guests came after the weather cleared more, it was luck if more than 4 people where on any given train. While I can see that Lech is a great coaster, on my rides I never got to experience it to it´s fullest.
    But on a positive note, they at least never attempted to wait for any specific load, if at least 1 person was seated, they would just send the train out. I had 4 back-to-back rides on it where I was alone in the train and they would send me out again after doing the apparently mandatory restraint cycle when the train returned to the Station.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's good they sent the train out faster for you! The ride got more intense after an hour, but I'm not sure if that was more due to fuller trains or cycling more.

    On the helix towards the end of the ride, when you said you greyed out on half of your rides, I'm thinking on your last few rides, you didn't grey out on that helix because your body is used to it. I've greyed out on X2's first drop and Riddler's Revenge's upward turn before the mid course brake run. I've experienced blackouts on Goliath's helix and Tatsu's pretzel loop. For me, I grey/blackout on my 1st ride, then it doesn't happen to me on my subsequent rides because my body is used to the forces. My first blackout was on 4/1/2022 (no joke) on Tatsu's pretzel loop.

    Just subbed again (I have a few accounts lol) - very good review man. I'll be on this for the first time on Sunday 12th - so excited (and my 200th coaster will be on Zadra at Energylandia - oh yeah). If this ride makes me grey out I'll be very surprised though, as I think I'd have made a good fighter pilot (can't fly a plane though, bummer lol). I rode I305 and whilst I felt my blood draining from every part of my body, my brain stayed fully awake for the whole thing just going "woooo baby more of THIS please" so I wonder if a roller coaster will ever make me grey out?... Anyway - great review man, as all your videos are - very informative and interesting. Can you think of a ride that will make me grey out... if I305 didn't manage it??
