2:20 The altar is also the symbol of the altar in the Old Testament where the sacrifices were offered to God. The Altar in the Church is the place where the ultimate Sacrifice of the Christ, "the Lamb of God" is offered for our salvation ..

He was trying to find unity (nimbutsu) between the sufferings of Christ and peaceful Buddha. Images of Christ seen on his family trips of Europe were part of what brought his "enlightenment" that Jesus Christ actually was the Messiah and Savior of all who ask.
I need to see this exhibition, oops ,too late. The National Gallery is a treasure trove ,and always worth a visit.

National Gallery videos are usually great. Why is this one so visually muddy?
Graças a tecnologia; poderemos entrar em Museus que guardam obras maravilhosas que muitas pessoas nem poderiam imaginar que existiam.
e verdade, temos um grande privelgio
So sad that theyre not actually in churches anymore....
Well , more sinners will see them. ,now . They are missionary s ,now . Like it or snot
These pictures should be in a holy space being venerated by Christians, and not gawped at by tourists.
We are all tourest , all men must die , as if we were all just dust in the wind..
gawped at - such a great expression. As a Christian I gawp at God through his creation and my grandson's eyes. Shalom!
