You work as a couple because you are both smart and logical about what a relationship is and needs. Not many people approach it this way, and it is so refreshing to see! And being so rational at 16? That's rare. ❤️ I've never really believed in soulmates, but y'all make me a believer.
Anyone else notice how the normally sweet and composed Jen gets SO giddy and giggly with her man? She’s head over heels for him! ❤️ Thanks, Jen and Ben, for the words of wisdom and inspiration for me and my husband!
Thank you so much for posting this video, Jen (& Ben)! Your insight on the question about being in your 20s and not being in a relationship really hit home for me. The love that both of you have for each other was so inspiring to see, and all of your candid, thoughtful responses to the questions really helped me to think about what I want in a future relationship! Thanks so much!
hannahpandabear I agree with you also! It gives me an insight of things I should dig deeper for what I really want in a relationship, what I can do about it the next time I enter or start investing in a relationship.
Future video question: 1. what is the best part about being in a interracial relationship? 2. Has your differences in culture affect the way you raise Aria?
I don't comment much since I always feel like it'll just get lost in the thousands of comments but I have been watching your channel since the apt(s) in KS and I'm so thrilled that Ben has a stage on the channel with you and that you guys are sharing some really important advice and perspective on relationships and longevity- you might feel like you don't have a license to 'give advice' but I've found everything in this episode to be logical, helpful, and thought provoking- esp helpful from a couple who has been through half of life together. Thank you. I teared a lot watching it because it forces me to take a hard look at my own life find a way to keep the love alive.
Everyone can agree that communication and trust are one of the biggest things in a relationship. Do you guys keep open passwords (meaning your spouse has access to all your accounts) on your phones, computer, social media accounts, etc.?
I’m obsessed with you guys!!! Such a logical and thoughtful couple! And yes to “acts of services!” My husband and I have been together for a total of 17 years...5 years of dating and almost 12 years of marriage. And I have to say, I know my husband loves me and the kids because he does so much for us! I so appreciative of him helping out with chores and the other big and small things. These days, free time is hard to come by, so it helps so much when both of us are in it together as a team! Kids are such a blessing. Congrats and hang in there when parenting gets hard! It’s so worth it!
I'm in awe of how self-aware you two are as a couple, especially when Ben remarked that your life language changed after having Aria! I'm super excited for this series.
I love this series already! This editing was great too! Made the video really visually appealing! You guys have such great chemistry and advice😁. (I’m korean & my husband is Caucasian as well. We also met and started dating in high school! Really interested to see if you will discuss the obstacles/different situations you’ve had to overcome in an interracial relationship! Wonder if it’s similar to ours! 🤣)
I personally think you guys are incredible role models for relationship advice. I love this new series! Were there ever dips in the relationship? If so, how did you overcome them?
this might probably get lost in all the comments but I just want to say this is by far the most genuine and unique segment I've seen in your channel. it's inspiring, personal, and made me love you even more after all the years of quietly watching/following your blog and channel. this is such a blessing and it made my day. the love in this is so contagious 💕💕 can't wait for the next episode. thank you so much for this, jen & ben 😊
You guys are lovely!!! Aria and baby #2 are so blessed to have you as parents! Thank you for letting us in on your lives , you are such an inspiration to us to become good people ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this video! My husband and I have been married for almost 4 years and there have been a lot of struggles we've faced. Hearing your insight has given me a renewed focus on our marriage. Love you guys!
You both are very fortunate to have each other, not very many relationships are as compatible, compassionate or understanding and open as the one you two have, very lucky
Thank you for this video. It’s really hitting all the things that’s happening in my life at the moment. Especially with adjusting to being a first time mom. And in general just trying to find balance in this whole new chapter of mine and my husband’s life. I found myself nodding a lot at the advice you and Ben had to give. It’s great to see how so in love and compatible you both really are. ❤️ Thank you again!
i really love this series. please please continue it. i think its amazing to see couples and how they really are together. since you guys have been together for so long its great to learn from you.
I've been with my husband 12 years and I feel like you guys definitely have it more figured out than we do. I followed Jen since the beginning (pretty much... I think...) but lost touch a bit so now that I've watched this I think it's so great to see more of Ben. I have a question that I asked many people but never got a helpful answer to, how did you know you were ready/ really wanted a kid together?
Your video gives me hope. I was in a 12 year relationship and my partner didn’t want to fight for us anymore. I’m broken because I thought we were soulmates, but it’s clearer to me now that we weren’t. Soul mates understand unconditional love, and I believe the puzzle piece effect. Here hoping for my soul mate to save the day!
Loved this! You guys are so sweet with each other and I think your advices and thoughts on love are really something that I look up to and try to live by in order to have such a loving relationship. Can't wait for more episodes!
I’m usually more into beauty videos but it’s always good to try something new, right? I really appreciated your videos about the difficulties you faced postpartum, and continue to respect your honesty here. I’d like to see an episode on your relationship and parenthood. You said your love for one another reached a new level after having Aria. Did that happen automatically or did you have to work out some things? (For many couples parenthood introduces new problems like different expectations for sharing baby duties, differences in parenting skills and styles, etc.)
I have been with my boyfriend for five years and we started dating in high school as well. I’ve always been amazed at how long you’ve been together and it gives me hope that we can make it, too! ☺️ I totally agree with Jen that love is a choice.
Thank you so much for posting this! My fiancé and I watched this together and we learned so much from you guys! Our questions are: What was one of the biggest obstacles you two had to face together? How did you solve it?
This series is gonna be great! Its so nice to see you and Ben on camera together. I don't necessarily have a question, but I'd love to hear your guy's faith journey too. If you're willing :)
I love this new segment of your channel :) You gave really great and wise advice. More of Jen & Ben videos please. May God continue to bless your family!
i really enjoyed this first episode! you two work so well together i love the chemistry between y’all, and i hope i can use the advice for my own relationship! can’t wait for more episodes
You both remind me of my boyfriend and I so much! We both watched this together as we cuddled in bed and couldn't agree more with many of the tips you both shared. We've been together for 10 years and it is SO true on how important it is to both WANT to do the same thing TOGETHER
I heard about the 5 love languages when i was doing work experience with some psychologists and honestly think it would be amazing for you guys to do a video! I don't think enough people know about it! It's so simple but so interesting. i absolutely adore you two❤❤❤
Jen Its so cute how you smiled with joy when you said kids. baby #2 was a secret here. I am watching these vids backwards but yall are so cute together. I can see the love and joy. My husband and I are enjoying this series. we too have been together for what seems like forever. we have been together 20 yrs since the 5th grade and married a year.
I've literally not watched more than a minute yet but I just have to say that GUYYYS your relationship is so sweet, I get so happy watching you guys together!
Ting-Ting Hu My brother is married to a thai girl and her mother doesn't accept them which is really sad. She also wanted him to pay a 20 thousand dollar dowry
I got excited when you said you wanted 7 kids because I'm one of 7 kids lol. I can understand why you wouldn't want that many though. My house is basically a 24/7 circus.
Hi Jen...and Ben... 😀 how do you compromise/ discuss something when you both have different opinion? I mean, how to decide that you need to giving in to your partner's opinion and follow them or when you need to hold on to your opinion or...you just need to walk on your own way and just do separate roles on different things so that you dont fight? Thank you!
You're such a cute and wonderful couple!!! Loving this series ❤ being in a relationship that will burn you later.. that really hit me. It made me overthink my situation at the moment. Thanks for all the great advice 💕
I love this! My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 7 years now, but we are really not that open with a lot of stuff. One, I just think he's not expressive enough and doesn't really listen well as he pick and chooses what information to retain - not understanding me or the situation fully. Two, I am afraid of getting judged or not getting the response/comfort I want - making it worse for myself to share in the first place. We're both 24 and I know we are still young. But it's weird that there are so many things going on which we have not been really open about - insecurities, my anxiety, goals in life, marriage, kids, things like that. Is that okay? Should I start opening up these topics or should I just let it happen sometime in the future.
I have the exact same anxieties. I don't really know how to open up, especially since I'll be out of school soon, moving back in with parents who will bombard me with those types of questions about me and him, and education isn't a main priority anymore (aka distraction). We're also not very expressive, and I've resorted to thinking that it's always been the way he operates, so I just do it back. A lot of times I feel like I'm doing something wrong or not putting "effort" into the relationship by just not talking about a lot of things...surely my fear has put me into my own prison lol 😞
I always say that a relationship should be 100/100 not 50/50 because divorce is 50/50 becayyou are dividing things and when you are married you should always give 100% of yourself to that other person...because there will be those days when you have zero to give and your person can make up the difference hold the relationship...💕💙
Sweet video :) I’m a really big planner, did you have a life plan as to when you wanted to get married, kids, etc.? I’m 21 and I like having a rough, methodical plan. Ex: married at 26, kids at 32. Thanks!
From someone who has been in a relationship for more than 10 years, do you have some days when you just hate each other? For example after a big fight or after a hard day when the other person is being very demanding. I have these. Is this normal?

His family seems like to have the wife being home, and be a mother, but I don’t see myself as that type of girl. But we both have Christian back round, we have same world views. For so long I think He is “the one”. But I don’t know how to over come these differences.

This video made my heart so warm and fuzzy. I love seeing you guys together and how much you guys like each other.

1. what is the best part about being in a interracial relationship?
2. Has your differences in culture affect the way you raise Aria?
Do you have any old pics you could share with us from your highschool/college days together?! I think that would be so sweet/interesting to see!
Yesss!!!
What is the weirdest habit you discovered in each other after being married? I'm not sure if the question makes sense but I still want to ask.
You guys are adorable!! Random fact: I just realized that Jenn Im´s fiancee is also called Ben :o Another Ben + Jen couple! :D
Kathy CM Yes and they’re both Korean girls!
I want this Jen and Ben to do a Q&A with that Jenn and Ben
Prashansa Sunuwar OMG yes!! That would be awesome! ❤️
I realized the same once she said jen & ben and i was like wait a minute! haha
I melted watching this. How two people can be so goofy yet serious yet in tune with each other.
Ben seems so calm and sweet

I was blown away by how wise Ben is!!
I love you both so much 🖤

Question: Do you have any challenges being an interracial couple?
i really love this series. please please continue it. i think its amazing to see couples and how they really are together. since you guys have been together for so long its great to learn from you.
when Ben and Jen say Ye! and clap after she told him his favorite movie. I can see Aria in both of them, especially Jen.

You guys are so sweet, I love it!! Good advice for dating too....it's scary to talk about big topics, but always best to be upfront and honest :)
I've literally not watched more than a minute yet but I just have to say that GUYYYS your relationship is so sweet, I get so happy watching you guys together!
He outpunted the coverage for sure. Congrats to him.
How did your parents react when you told them about ben? Asian parents usually want their children to marry an asian
Ting-Ting Hu It really depends on the parents tbh
She talked abt it before. She grew up in a town(?) where there isnt alot of asians so getting married to a non asian wasn’t much of a big deal.
Ting-Ting Hu My brother is married to a thai girl and her mother doesn't accept them which is really sad. She also wanted him to pay a 20 thousand dollar dowry
They lived in Kansas 😊
Tayla Paige wth??? really? I’m so sorry
This video was so happy! I would love to learn more about what it was like for you two navigating an interracial relationship!
I got excited when you said you wanted 7 kids because I'm one of 7 kids lol.
I can understand why you wouldn't want that many though. My house is basically a 24/7 circus.
How do you both meet each other and how do you choose to not giving up each other?
Couldn’t stop smiling watching this. You two are so adorbs!
Great thoughts and advice! You guys are amazing and may God keep giving you with lots of blessings!
I love love this video. Seeing the both of you like this makes want to have a soulmate now. Thank you for this.

You're such a cute and wonderful couple!!! Loving this series ❤ being in a relationship that will burn you later.. that really hit me. It made me overthink my situation at the moment. Thanks for all the great advice 💕
You two have a beautiful relationship. Both of you have great values and are amazing! :)
That was so lovely. Thanks for being so honest!
I loved this new series, Jen!! You guys are adorable couple!! And I'd like to know how you divide the home tasks rs. Kisses from Brazil.

So nice of you to share your life with us
You two are so cute.....Umm you guys don't need advice you got this 👏🏻
Especially in the early stages of your relationship, is there any struggle to being an interracial couple?
You guys are exactly what I want to be with my future husband. 💏

Loveddd this. Thank you so much for this video and this series.
Hi Jen & Ben! I absolutely adore this series and am excited for more!
You guys have been together since I’ve been born... that’s a long time 😱
Sweet video :) I’m a really big planner, did you have a life plan as to when you wanted to get married, kids, etc.? I’m 21 and I like having a rough, methodical plan. Ex: married at 26, kids at 32. Thanks!
you guys are so cute! love these
LOVING THIS!! i can't wait for more!
From someone who has been in a relationship for more than 10 years, do you have some days when you just hate each other? For example after a big fight or after a hard day when the other person is being very demanding. I have these. Is this normal?
Do you ever wonder about what it would have been like (better or worse) if you had met each other later in life?
That was the sweetest video! You two are so perfect and sweet to each other!
How do u guys maintain finances as a married couple?
Yayyyy!! I'm already loving this series!!! Can't wait for more videos
I am a international student, and I have been attracted to a American boy, and I know he likes me too, but I know I’m a city girl, meaning I will go to top colleges and try to have a great job, but he will be satisfied a community college even he is a very smart guy.
