Today I was teaching dance and this little girl started cruing while her mom was in the bathroom. I put her on my hip to stop her from crying, and she stopped. When her mom came out, her face was like 😱. She said that the little girl never let anyone other than her parents hold her and I was the first stranger she had been OK with holding her. My self esteem skyrocketed 😂😉😘
I have no clue how you didn't cry while explaining everything, I was crying of pure joy 😭 this is such a beautiful video and following throughout your whole pregnancy was such a blessing. Thank you so much for sharing your whole experience and I wish your new family only the best! 💕💕
I love pregnancy, labor and delivery videos. I always love hearing how other's went through it all. I have 2 boys, my oldest had the longest but smooth delivery because of the epidural. As for my 2nd, quickest but most painful, all natural. Motherhood is amazing and I would never trade it for anything! ❤❤❤❤
Watching your video clip made me tear up a little because I can see how happy you are with your precious little bundle. And I will never experience that joy as I am unable to have children. Ugh, my apologies for sounding so down. Anyway, I just want to thank u, Jen, for sharing your labor and delivery experience with us. Congrats on your beautiful daughter! She's adorable. :)
nothing is impossible to them that believe. i have heard miracles of women without any womb conceiving. God will make you laugh and surprise you with your bundle of joy:)
Jen, I'd love to hear about your recovery, and just more about your birth experience, and mom experiences. I'm not pregnant or married, but desire both in my life. 😊
so proud of you... I am a labor and delivery nurse in NYC. Glad that you pushed for only 45 minutes, you really let your body take control =) looking forward to hear your recovery story.
thanks so much for sharing your story jen. honestly hearing stories about labour is so terrifying but as soon as you brought little aria out I can only imagine how worth it it all would have felt afterwards. she is absolutely precious!! congrats!!
I really loved hearing your birth story. So real! From one extreme to another. When each of mine were born it never ceased to amaze me what our wonderful female bodies are capable of. That, and the emotional (& hormonal) turmoil too. Your little daughter is lovely - just like her mommy. You are going to be great🍀
It's crazy the different reactions to inducement. I was induced at 6:30 in the morning. Never got above a 2 on the pit because my contractions were so strong and back to back. I was fully dilated 4 hours later and 30 minutes of pushing and my little girl was here! I'm glad your delivery went well! Your baby is adorable!
This video made me smile the whole time! I feel like I can relate to you in so many ways when I was pregnant and gave birth 2 years ago. I was only 4'9" and I had my son at 40 weeks. He was almost 41 weeks until I felt uncomfortable cramping, right away, I left to the hospital at 7 in the morning. But then! I had also ended up waiting the next day for him and he came out weighing 7 pounds and 8 ounces. Hehe. She is so beautiful! Life is amazing! Congratulations to you and your significant other! Life as parents will be even more rewarding for the two of you! -Alreanne
Please don't censor your labor story and recovery! You're body is beautiful and it's such an amazing process! I feel like more women need to speak up about the reality of pregnancy and postpartum. Thanks so much for sharing and your daughter is beautiful :)
Congrats Jen! I'm so glad that your birth was calm and that Aria arrived safe and sound! Loved following your journey--thanks for taking us along for the ride. Enjoy every single moment with her! They grow up so so fast! xo
A beautiful labour story! Your little girl is beautiful. I had a 3rd degree tear due to my baby coming out with one hand on his cheek! The stitching up was worse pain than the giving birth! I almost blacked out at that point due to the fatigue and pain. But it was all worth it! My little boy has just turned 3.
July 14th baby like me! Congratulations Jen! My daughter was 8.5 lbs and had a big head. The nurses actually told me my baby had a headache coming out because it was so hard for me to push her out. They had to use scissors on me in two places and I ripped. Recovery was super difficult for me. Your daughter is so adorable. Again congrats!
when i was induced with my son, i dilated to a 10 in one hour and a half! however pushing was much more painful this time. this was my second child, with my daughter, i went into labor naturally and it was only 5 hours total. God bless you and your baby girl!!
OMG I"M SUPER HAPPY FOR YOU! I remember watching you when i was in high school like 5 years ago. you we're like a big sister to me and now you're a mother!!!
Congrats Jen! I was a big baby but I'm 15 now and only 5'1" and 91 pounds. So it just goes to show that baby weight sometimes doesn't affect how big the baby gets later
Jen, I just wanna say, thank you so much for being honest and sharing about your tear. I would really love to hear more about the recovery process. I think there's not many people out there who are willing to share the fears of childbirth and only focus on the joy of having a baby (which i am sure is definitely joyful) but I appreciate being giving the option to learn more about the entire process, good and bad :)
Omg i almost cried when you were talking about it was a whirlwind, reminds me of how I felt too. She's such a cutie!!!! They grow so fast! Hope you're recovering well & enjoying motherhood!!
My midwife told me I might have to be induced, I'm a first time mommy and I cried so much. This video is so helpful and called me down, I hope my labor goes smoothly ❤
I feel like crying tears of joy... You're so beautiful!!! Praise the Lord for rather smooth delivery... You deserve a pat on the shoulder for sure, Jen!! And hello cutie Aria 😍
I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby and omg this was sooo helpful and I want to hear more about your recovery! I need to know all the squirmish things that most people don't talk about! Congrats again!! Aria is adorable ü
This was so sweet to watch. Ive been following you for years and it's such a precious moment to see you grow and start a family of your own! Thank you for taking us on this personal and magical journey of yours!!! Love you!
This video is so helpful and encouraging! I will be due in 2 months and was always scared... Thank you so much! Please share more mom/baby must haves and other videos.
Congratulations Jen! I was watching your videos while I was pregnant with my daughter so she probably recognises your voice ☺ She's nearly 8 months and now you have your own little girl. We're going to enjoy watching you and Aria together. I picked a 'A' name for my daughter too!
Jen - Congrats! You look great! My son had terrible reflux too. We bought the dex daydreamer and that saved us! I totally feel your pain about the recovery. I also had 2nd degree tear. When your eyes watered up I wanted to give you a hug. Mommies are sooo strong!
Aria is so beautiful! Your story made me think about my own two births... my daughters are 1 & 5 now. Yay for wonderful baby girls! I am so glad you came through her birth smoothly. You are strong and amazing and a great mom!
Congrats on your baby girl! She is so beautiful. I went all natural, no medication with my son (only child), I was in labor for 20hrs and 7 minutes of that was pushing and he came out. I too was quite(the lady in the next room was so loud). call me crazy but I loved that pain. I also teared even though my son was 6lbs. All in all I'd do it all over again.
My son was also born on July 14, 2016 and i was also induced. I was induced because i had really high blood pressure (not like me to have high blood pressure) & they wanted to avoid pre eclampsia. Im so glad i found your channel. I subscribed ❤️
:,) thank you for sharing your story so beautifully. I gave birth to my little girl on the 17th July and your story just made me relive my birth as it is pretty similar. Feel so emotional hearing about your birth, it's so lovely to share this kind of stuff with other mums as you feel like you're the only one that's going through it..it's so hard, I felt like I'd been hit by a train for the first week, never suffered so much in my life. Thanks again. Many blessings to you and your new family xXxXxXx
Congratulations! She's sooo beautiful! I had the exact labor experience as you did....induction, waiting, epidural, tearing, 7.9 lb girl. I feel for you on your recovery and I know what you went through, ouch! You are so blessed with your happy, beautiful, girl! Enjoy motherhood! The years will fly by like nothing! Seems like I was just pregnant yesterday. My baby will be turning 10 this month! See what I mean?
Thank you Jen for sharing your story! I was pregnant the same time as you and so it was fun to follow your journey along with mine! Congratulations!!! Can't wait to see more baby vlogs!!
the highly anticipated vlog! congrats, jen!! aria is a beauty! i love hearing other mommy's labor & delivery stories and being able to relate to so much. i just delivered my baby boy 2 months ago. i was induced and i also heard to ask for the anesthesiologist early. nurses told me he would be available at 5:30 but he actually couldn't come to my rescue until 2+ hrs later. i'm 5'1" and delivered a 7lbs 15oz, 21 inch long baby boy. we are so in love :D
jen - the tears are much better than an episiotomy. the doctor that delivered my daughter was an "in and out" guy and as I was tearing, he said she would not progress without cutting me so he gave me an almost 4th degree episiotomy. the worst ever...
Aria is so adorable! Congrats! I've been following your channel for quite awhile but this is the first time watching your labor story. So very similar to my labor story. I had to be induced at 42 weeks. The induction process was long and slow. I wasn't making much progress from any methods used on me to get me to dilate (to the point I had asked for a c-section but was denied lol). But from the time I was ready to push it took about 45 minutes for babygirl to arrive. It was very calm and zen-like atmosphere too. My daughter is now 13 y/o so to hear your story just totally brought back memories 😊
Congrats on the baby! If you don't mind, can you please do a video on the tear/recovery/your experience? I know its a bit of a gross/taboo topic but it happens and not enough people talk about it. I would love to hear your story! Again, super happy for you and your family!
Aria is soooo cute!! Big sparkly eyes, little nose and her cute little tongue that keeps moving~ Can't wait to see more of Aria and Jen's makeup videos~~
I'm due in two weeks and enjoyed watching this video. I would love to hear about your recovery as well as breastfeeding. I am terrified that I won't produce enough milk and I'd like to learn about your breastfeeding journey.
It's really not that common to not produce enough. Just feed from the breast as much as possible. It's normal for babies to nurse practically nonstop in the early weeks, which is often why people think they don't have enough milk, but that's just baby bringing in your supply. Meeting with a lactation consultant soon after birth can help you feel more confident.
This wasn't the case for us. I had been taught to think that the body will make enough and our baby ended up having to go to the ER for dehydration and high jaundice level because I wasn't producing enough milk. I was constantly told, breast is best and that your body will make enough, don't ever give your baby a drop of formula...etcetc....but there are cases when that is not true. I think its good to be educated and to also be taught to see when baby isn't getting enough. I was thankfully able to pump and bring my supply up. But it took me 3 months to get to that point where i could feed him breast milk 100% exclusively. The whole breastfeeding journey the first time around was SO difficult and not what I was expecting at all. I wish someone would have told me the signs when breastfeeding ISN'T going well. After our first, and being MUCH more educated on breastfeeding, I was better prepared for our second and was able to breastfeed him for 22 months!
The day I brought my baby home I freaked out and had my husband go get formula because I thought she wasn't getting any breast milk. However, I just had her latched on and let her go for it until she was full. Sometimes for an hour. It seems like a lot but that's how you get your supply going. Just remember to not give up even though sometimes it might be hard. Good luck with your baby and recovery!
"39 weeks came around, and I was like "baby could come at anytime" and then 40 weeks came around and I was like "baby can really come at anytime" then 41 weeks came around and baby had to be forcibly evicted." 😂😂😂
Aria is absolutely beautiful. Loved your labour story. It sounds like you had a great experience. I had a great experience with my second baby earlier this year too. Hope to see more mom and baby videos soon xx
Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your story with us! Labor is a pretty amazing experience! Glad you and Aria are doing well! Enjoy being a mommy! Time goes soooo fast!
HI Jen!!! you were supposed to have Aria before I have our boy Tony but I ended up having an early pre-term labour at 34 wks +5 days unexpectedly. the baby was sunny side up (looking up instead of down) so I ended up going with a c section!!! I can't imagine being in labor as long as you have! I was a direct opposite - my water broke the moment I went to check with my doctor, fully dilated by the time I was at the hospital but because baby was looking up, I was pushing for 2 hours but his BP was slowing down so... yeah... he was in NICU for a week and was in pediatrics for 3 days. anyway, glad to hear you are recovering quickly and Aria is a healthy and happy baby!! :) congrats you guys!!
Congrats on baby Aria...she's beautiful! I had to laugh at the comments/warning of the nurse when you asked for the epidural. With my first, I thought i would hold out as long as possible but then realized i needed help so i ordered an epidural and i think it took like half an hour but it was the longest half an hour of my life so for my next two kids, i ordered it right when i got to the hospital and it was a pain-free delivery. So, next time pre-order your epidural if you're allowed. LOL
Congratulations Jen and your beautiful Ari!!! It is so inspiring to hear your story from yourself, I really appreciate the way you sit down and genuinely talk to us about your delivery experience. Thank you so much for sharing and I wish you and your family all the best wishes xoxo

anyway, glad to hear you are recovering quickly and Aria is a healthy and happy baby!! :) congrats you guys!!
Baby Aria is absolutely adorable congratulations 🎀👶💕
