Toby Fox confirmed in a Deltarune newsletter that this is one of his tracks. Edit: he also confirmed that the Tera Raid and Zero Lab battles are his work, as well as the Area Zero location, and the "Academy" theme which is sprinkled and arranged throughout the rest of the game.
Next time Pokemon releases a new game, everyone will stop playing Scarlet/Violet and get obsessed with the new game. Honestly thought that maybe Masuda legitimately had a partial hand in the composition (possibly very early on?) considering a few traits are present in this that exemplify his general style: call and response (giving his themes a sing-songy vibe, which I can clearly feel in the first half), the AABA musical form, the intro and rhythmic section having callbacks to his Hoenn battle themes and the pre-bridge (0:27-0:43?) also sounding suspiciously like Hoenn's gym leader theme. Everything else is obviously Toby, though, especially the second half. Easily the best special battle theme in the franchise, either way. Edit: Yeah, 75-80% of it's just Mesagoza rearranged in a very Masuda-like fashion, possibly also co-arranged by Hitomi Sato? I still feel like Masuda was probably brought in with Fox to contribute to the rhythm section in the first half (a trademark of his battle themes), pre-chorus and maybe even some parts in the near end, considering how melodically straight-forward this track seems compared to his other collaborations in ScVl. Man, I just want TPC and Nintendo to release another Super Music Collection to help sort all this out.

The last theme he likely had any full involvement in this game in is the Trainer theme. It led me to believe that he perhaps might have had some influence on the other battle themes besides the more obvious ones.
This doesn’t sound like a typical Toby Fox composition. I feel like Hitomi Sato (or maybe Adachi idk) had a hand in composition, at least (0:44-1:02). The flute, piano, drums evoke that gen 4 feeling. Also, the transition right before (0:40-0:44) sound very reminiscent of a pokemon piece, although I can’t remember what. If Sato or Adachi had no part in this, then hats off to you, Toby, for composing something sounding like trad Pokemon very convincingly.
I feel like Toby Fox had very little part in this composition as the base of the whole song stands upon the classic battle themes just the saxophone and trumpets are added over it. I think Hitomi Sato had the most hand over this and as the end part is very jazzy I had say Go Ichinose, but it seems he, had little hand in it as this isn't typical Go Ichinose jazz.
Idk this seems like a pretty thoroughly Toby interpretation of classic pokemon themes to me. Even the jazzy bits sound pretty much exactly like the way he writes the jazzy bits in UTDR/Homestuck music.

This song is postgame Pokemon in a nutshell. You’ve been through your struggles, you’ve forged bonds with your pokemon, you’ve hit the credits, and now you’re on another grand adventure around the region with your team to have some more fun. It’s incredible.

I wish if we battle one of the elite four at the tournament their theme would be playing instead of this soundtrack. Not that there is anything wrong with this soundtrack it's just that I'm a bit salty about the e4 soundtrack playing 4 times in the game and that's it. You can't even rematch them in the league.
@@naturalharmoniagropius4486 But as stated, this theme will play instead of the E4 theme, and there's no way to refight the E4 like in previous games. Once you beat the champions, the E4 and the champ themes are gone from the game, unless they play in multiplayer.

It incorporates motifs from previous themes. The start is the Alola E4.
