So usually the music cuts in weird spots and doesn't showcase the full composition. There's also issues with mic quality and in turn, the sound quality when playing on TH-cam.
To me this is by far the BEST, most refreshing, and most memorable track in these games, and that's saying something because there's a lot of great music in these games.
I like it, it sounds extra >:) It doesn’t really have that Pokémon vibe but this *is* one of Teruo Taniguchi’s *first* compositions. I also like the vocals. It’s not a usual thing to have and it really adds to the theme imo.
I think not having the Pokémon vibe is almost the point. Ever since USUM they've been making an effort to start shifting away from Masuda traditions to make a "new era Pokémon sound". If this is what we're getting from now on, sign me the hell up.
This whole soundtrack is amazing, and this is one of it's crowned jewels (pun intended) Fun fact also: Giacomo low-key confirms that every in-game track is also heard in universe when Cassiopeia says he composes the music for Team Star.
i thought that line doesn't necessarily extend to everything besides the Team Star battle themes, i thought that line just meant that the Team Star boss battle theme, and maybe even the ones at the base before that, are some of the only ones heard in-universe (especially since the Starmobiles have speakers that most likely play Giacomo's music)
Considering this is Taniguchi’s first big break since joining all the way back in gen 5, he’s made a phenomenal first impression as a lead composer. He and Toby are without question the highlights of SV’s soundtrack, and in regards to Toby, I really hope he sticks around too.
the melody and instrumentation at 1:24 weirdly reminds me of emdasche's (composer for pokemon uranium, among other things) work. like, it's almost uncanny how closely the style matches.
omg . . . i'm honoured u would make the connection, that section uses one of my fave chord progressions and goes for a certain sentimentality that i also like to use in my own stuff in the melody lol probably that's why! very anime sounding (this track rules)
Say whatever you want, but the vocals in the background sound to me EXACTLY like the vocals from the battle themes in Shin Megami Tensei 3. If this song had a slightly lower tempo and someone made me listen to that while telling me this was a boss theme from that game, I would have believed them without asking any other questions. Just listen to those and tell me if I'm wrong.
I came to the Segin Squad's base knowing beforehand that their Starmobile was Lv 20. I thought my Lv 21 Pawmo and Lv 22 Nymble were up to the task. I left the base with one Pokemon alive. Do NOT underestimate the Starmobiles!
@@djunsusteiner Incorrect. The Starmobile Revavroom are basically Tera-typed to the base leader. The Segin Starmobile was in fact, a Dark-type. You probably beat them easy, but it was never super effective hits.
i've found all the other themes in this game kind of repetitive. While this is still repetitive, this stands out to me as being more distinctive as many of the other SV themes.
Because the loop is actually very long. All other videos cut off the song before it properly loops lol. You think it's looping at one point but then some of the guitar is actually different second time around
Taniguchi is already killing it with just the anatgonist themes alone. He's definitely one of Game Freak's most distinctive composers to date.
The fact that this canonically plays while you’re fighting them. Just imagine being the protag and vibing to the music while you’re battling.

The Starmobiles are all Poison/Steel types, so You can use a Fire type, I beat them easily with My Skeledirge

Those things are genuinely scary, i was super confident to fight the fire one once i got my clodsire but i got WASHED.
I went after the Fire one first. I thought my team was strong enough after the Brassius and Klawf fights. *It wasn't. Not in the slightest.*
