    Hesi Rumbi, lovely to see a fellow Zim lady doing medicine. I've newly qualified as RN thinking of medschool in some years though.

      Zim ladies taking over! Congratulations, I would definitely say consider it because you get such good experience as a nurse and why not take it a step further

    I’m a graduate in psychology I’m trying to apply for medicine. Medicinal student who offers his services to help others told me that my choices are limited specially cause I don’t have English and maths gcse B or above and he also said I’m limited because of the fact that it’s psychology and not a lot of uni take that for gem .... so told me to maybe to consider one year college to do access to medicine course .... my gcse were c grades. So I dont know what to do now he said I can still try apply but my options will be limited cause they look at your gcse and few unis consider psycholgy bsc as a science. Please can anyone offer any advice?😭

    Hey rumbi love ur videos. I have just finished gcses now going a level and have been looking at unis that are really good in medicine and have realized that they take gcses seriously however I got As in my sciences n A* in maths so would tat affect anything and Wat results did u get for a level. And which uni did u got to

    • @RumbiTheMedic
      @RumbiTheMedic  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, congrats on finishing yout GCSE's and getting such good grades in Maths and Science, I know some uni's for medicine look for lots of A*'s at GCSE but bare in mind it doesnt really matter which uni you go to because at the end of the day as long as you get a degree in medicine you will become a doctor. I would say for you just make sure you do your best in your AS so you have good predicted grades for applying with.
      I got A*AAB in A-Levels.
      What subjects will you be taking at A-Level?

    Hey!! I was wondering if you have to pay for your Medicine degree because I read somewhere that you only get a student loan for your first degree and if you choose to either do a second degree or a Masters degree you no longer get any loans. is that really true?

    • @RumbiTheMedic
      @RumbiTheMedic  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes unfortunately it is true, even if student finance didn't pay for your first degree they still wont pay for your second so yup you have to self fund. I think the rules have changed about masters though and people doing a master's degree do get some help from student finance but unfortunately even though at the end of medicine you get a Dr. it still only counts as an undergrad degree.

    Rumbi, which degree did you do before medicine? and did you feel it helped you study better on your medicine course?

    • @RumbiTheMedic
      @RumbiTheMedic  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did Midwifery, I wouldnt say its helped me study better because I was pretty much learning everything from scratch (unlike people that did things like biomed who had covered some of the topics before) however it definitely has helped me when it comes to OSCE's and the basic clinical skills which we did this year.

  • @MissLinCee
    @MissLinCee 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh and where are you studying?

  • @biddddsa
    @biddddsa 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    for my gcse they didn't allow me to take triple science as there was not enough people that picked that choice......
