I love Louis so much. It's like if you had the chocolate vanilla soft serve of Griffith and Reinhard von Lohengramm with the mint middle swirl of Seto Kaiba. It's wonderful. Also, i love how many times that guy gets verbally pants'd by the end of that story. I didnt expect Basilio of all people to have the burn of "Once you cut through the bullshit, you and Forden are no different. At the end of the day you just think there are some people who dont deserve to live"
Louis is the best execution of the "All-knowing Mastermind" villains in JRPGs because he's clearly shown to get bamboozled at points (specifically the King's Magic activating) and yet he's able to improvise and get back on top afterwards.
I'm pretty sure that the Prince Royal Archetype will use whatever is higher between magic or strength. It's written as a physical move so that it can do crits. But from what I've heard the game is coded to use the higher stat
I do love how Aggro brings up the point that fairies never shut the fuck up, since there's a trophy that pops when you talk to Gallica 100 times called "Hey, Listen!"
The Royal Magic scroll is the games credits. Like, the royal magic is a list of the people who made the game. Also, anyone who played Etrian Odyssey knew EXACTLY what was up before you even head to the Dragon Temple.
It's brave for Dan to organize a spoilercast with just Aggro and Bob after the former announced his undying love and desire for Bob in the 300th episode
Yeah, I made that mistake trying to rush through the end of the game, then spent hours on that boss. Was so mad and then looked it up and went "Oh.... I'm a dumbass" XD
There is also the Etrian odyssey reference in Eht Ria. That dragon temple is also just an EO map. Plus one of the relics at the event is the Strange Journey helmet.
So if youre wondering about the weirdness around Rellas arc and how fast it goes, people dug around in the games files and found out that she was likely going to be a playable character at some point.
As far as I remember, the masks the Mustari wear is just a cultural thing, so I guess you can see the moment Eupha breaks it in her dungeon as her breaking free from the tradition of sacrificing a priestess to the dragon god.
Planning on playing this, but wanted to make sure to leave a comment and like for ya'll. I hope ya'll Metaphor'd your Fantazios super hard that you ended up Reeing
@SenpaiMD no I played it normally. I guess maybe, it's the way I did social stats because I don't remember getting locked out once for a follower and maybe I used the calendar very efficiently.
Metaphor was extremely disappointing to me. I had far more fun and interest with SMT5 Vengeance A lame story A certain amount of characters just being background The level design dropping off a cliff halfway through The dumb twist about the Blank slate MC Race designs are for the most part lazy Not Griffith aka Count Louis lacking all of the nuance and characterization of Griffith Certain characters like Catrina clearly being cut despite their set up.
There's a few things in this comment that suggest you are lying and didn't play the game because they are just factually untrue, that said I also wanna respect differing opinions so you do you but you didn't engage with this game and your post reeks of that or intentionally talking shit for sake of it.
Haven't played the game myself, but just from watching some of the cutscenes, the writing is shockingly unsubtle at parts. In particular, they really beat you over the head with the metaphor stuff.
I literally got to the twist about the MC and rolled my eyes so badly with how stupid it was. The games use of races also comes off as lacking narratively and design wise. I was baffled with how little i remember the names of the races due to a lack of depth. Compare it to the first Mass Effect and its night and day. Level design drops off halfway through the game. The fact that the Magla Academy didn’t have a dungeon despite there being an opportunity to delve into the nasty experiments that would have been concocted there is a massive misfire
Agreed. I think Metaphor is Atlus' weakest game in years. SMTVV just surpasses it in every way and I can only assume recency bias and the GotYs are what's getting it hype. The writing is just hamfisted, gormless beating of a dead horse. If you look at it for more than a minute, their own worldbuilding falls apart with a condemnation of racemixing that's more racist than the most hardline real world examples, but people are fine living together in every major area. Heismay's apologism for Joanne made me want to shove him down a blender. Louis is absurdly evil but for most of the game, every time he DOES make an argument the party has 0 actual counterarguments to refute him. The later you get into the game, the more apparent everything was being rushed to completion with how map and encounter design fall off a quality cliff. The music honestly just gets annoying by the end, especially the main battle theme. As a final note: if you played this in English, you were robbed. I alternated between French and Spanish with Japanese VO and everything I saw of English look an English major's first pass rewrite.
"OHHH POWER OF KINGS!"
- Heismay Noctule a.k.a The Goat
SOME DARKER ARTS!
@HSL_Blackleaf I love how if you give him Commander skills he yells.
"CHAAAAAAARGE!"

I love it. This game thoroughly dismantles the chaos faction arguments of most smt games and it’s great.
HELL YEA. Can't wait for part 2 with Dan and Kris!
I'm pretty sure that the Prince Royal Archetype will use whatever is higher between magic or strength. It's written as a physical move so that it can do crits. But from what I've heard the game is coded to use the higher stat
Oh fuck I wish I knew that, cause I went Magic MC for most of the game lol
Never knew I needed Bob & Aggro content until I had it.
I do love how Aggro brings up the point that fairies never shut the fuck up, since there's a trophy that pops when you talk to Gallica 100 times called "Hey, Listen!"

Sorry Aggro, but running out of days in a Persona game is classified as a skill issue. Get gud and finish the 4-hour dungeons in a single day, scrub!
This feels like a forbidden host pairing, but it does bring to mind the old Fairy Tale and FF14 Endwalker reviews, so I can't complain.
The Grius thing was especially funny, because at the preview event they didn't even hide what happened to him, and we just weren't allowed to say.
Aggro and Bob is a powerful duo, so I am excited to go through this spoilercast
I know this video is gonna be a banger, but I'm gonna have to earmark it for later when I'm done. Keep up the excellent work kings.

Aggro and Bob is an incredibly powerful combo.
If you skip the tyrant star refights louis becomes a superboss with more moves snd turns and higher stats. Tht was tough
Xenogears moment
Yeah, I made that mistake trying to rush through the end of the game, then spent hours on that boss. Was so mad and then looked it up and went "Oh.... I'm a dumbass" XD
I too love Hildeburgs bangs SO MUCH
There is also the Etrian odyssey reference in Eht Ria. That dragon temple is also just an EO map. Plus one of the relics at the event is the Strange Journey helmet.
ive been waiting for this
Yoooooo!!!! Cant wait!!!!!

Need Aggro or Bob to bring Glodell to the gigaboots GotY nomination for biggest cuck of the year award.
Planning on playing this, but wanted to make sure to leave a comment and like for ya'll.

Felt kinda sad every companion was mentioned in this discussion besides Basilio lmao
Jesus how did you do 110-120 I was 75 and I did everything, I should mention I'm never that efficient
yeah i was about 100 hours for everthing. do you auto advance text?
@SenpaiMD no I played it normally.
I guess maybe, it's the way I did social stats because I don't remember getting locked out once for a follower and maybe I used the calendar very efficiently.
Great spoilercast!!
Rip I kinda wanted kris on this. Still looking forward to this
bob and aggro have pretty good chemistry
A discussion without Kris, thank god.
Man this is a weird looking copy of F1 2024
scrumdiddlyumptious
I can’t watch this yet, I wanna actually get the game, but is Aggro actually horny for Hulkenberg or was that a bit?
I will say, Heismay saved the games resource management for me with the ability to mana steal for the infinity grind
Yoooo first
Metaphor was extremely disappointing to me. I had far more fun and interest with SMT5 Vengeance
A lame story
A certain amount of characters just being background
The level design dropping off a cliff halfway through
The dumb twist about the Blank slate MC
