I remember as a kid I use to go to Candlestick Park I was the shortest kid hoping to catch a foul ball during batting practice but all the bigger kids kept snatching the balls from me because of their height Jack Clark of the S.F. Giants noticed this and walked over to me and gave me a ball, even then a bigger kid had his hand out and Jack told him it was for me. I love Jack Clark to this day because of his great gesture of kindness to me. That taught me to always look out for the little guys in life.

Love the players who take time with their younger fans. They haven't forgotten that they were once young fans too. One day that little girl will all grown up and be cheering on her grandson at a baseball game and encouraging him to the next role model for a kid like Jeter was to her.
Baseball is all about the players interactions with the fans... it is these moments that creates memories. Only sports I really like, always wish I could have gone to one game.
Not really an “interaction” like all of these videos but when I was little I went to a Phillies game with my mom and I had front row seats in the home run section, and as the players were stretching I was waving at Cole Hamels and he saw me, gave me a smile and nodded. As a huge fan of him and several other Phillies players at the time that really made my day lol.
Once when I was at a game (Brewers vs Reds) Tyler Holt came up and gave me a handshake even though I was a brewers fan he then caught a ball and gave it to me I still admire him to this day.
You know that's kind of why I've always wanted to be an athlete. Just to sure and make moments like these and make people's days who come to these games 100% better by doing something small like saying hi and giving them a high five.
