I wish I got that 128 GB version, mine is just 16 GB the Blue color. That much storage makes a lot of difference compared to mine and also I'm an iPod touch fan.
+K.C. Clague jr. Your main concern would be storage space and whether you use iTunes. For me I wanted an iPod specifically because I use iTunes to manage my song library and playlists. And so the best option was an iPod touch. I also needed quite a bit of space to store all my music so I got the 128GB.
If parents are getting kids the 6th gen iPod because they are not old enough for a iPhone why not get them an iPhone but not activate it with a carrier and use it as a iPod then when they are old enough just pop a sim in and ur good instead of having to buy a new device

I know it's 2021, but I just got mine, gold and 128. I'll upgrade to the 7th gen when I have the extra dough. But as an old ipod classic collector, these are perfect for a daily driver. The storage is perfect for me. I love that I can stream at home. I use Samsung Galaxy phone, ear buds, watch, tablet, etc... so having access to the apple store apps and games is a lot of fun. The camera is actually pretty good. They just recently stopped supporting these, so if anyone is considering buying one now, just realize you won't be able to upgrade the software past like... its 12 I think? But whatever it is, you can't go any higher anymore. It's fine for me. Hopefully soon I'll find a 7th gen that is AT LEAST 128g's for a halfway decent price... and that isn't bright pink. That is a bad way to wrap headphones! You'll end up ruining the wires inside. About the iPod tho, I loved my iPod 6th generation; I got the space gray 64gb the day it was released (it was stolen this past July, after I had it one year)
I haven't had any bad experiences so far using this technique. Not wrapping in the past left me with countless of tangled and therefore broken earphones. This is the best way so far for me. Unless you've got a more superior technique you're willing to share? :D
I have the iPod touch 6g as well. Mines space grey 64GB. Got mine in 2015 for $250 off eBay new condition. I still use it all the time when my phones charging. It's awesome as a backup to my android, great performance & camera is quite exceptional in comparison to previous iPod Touchs, music sounds extremely good through the jack & best of all it has a 3.5mm port unlike the iPhone 7.😂 Only gripes are marks wear on the back from the case rubbing & the paint rubs off despite me taking really good care of it, battery life isn't the best either but it charges quite quickly so not too fussed. I'm from Sydney btw
So much nostalgia even though I was late to the game (I got my iPod 6 on March 21 2018 and it was the exact same as that iPod and I did have the EarPods that came with it up until like yesterday when I dropped them and lost them and damn too bad I lost the box for it.) And I got a iPhone 6s like 2 months ago and my iPod is named “SadPodPro” because I dropped it at school and shattered the screen and the battery is worn out plus it is maxed out on iOS 12.4.8 while my iPhone is at iOS 14.2

I'm a little anxious because I come from an iPod Shuffle, which lasted me 5-7 days with like ~30mins/day listening. I mean will I have to recharge it daily? (without wifi and bt). That's not so good...

Display takes quite a bit of battery. Secondly there's more tech inside the iPod touch and therefore all that uses the battery too. If you listen 30mins a day and just put it in standby without WiFi on then I reckon you'll be charging at most once every 10 days or so. It could go longer than that but I reckon that could be your average. Really depends what you have running. But once you have WiFi and Bluetooth enabled then that greatly decreases your battery life.

That's so strange...The only other thing I can think of is Emails from the Mail app taking a lot of space, apart from that...have you considered doing a factory reset and then re-adding the songs?

For me, I always like to have high quality songs and sometimes even .wav files and I've got almost 9000 songs and I have 33.33 GB left out of 122GB. If you don't have that much high quality songs I'd say you can fit at least 12,000 songs easy. Provided that most of those songs are average quality.
James Chia the reason I asked is because my wife has an itouch 6th gen 64 GB and she has about 300 songs on it. She doesn't have much space left to add any more music but she doesn't have any other data like videos or pictures

iPod 6th gen space Gray 64GB cost me around 300 32GB is to small 16GB is way to small and 128GB is to much not needed for me 64GB is just the right amount of storage space plus 128GB is 400 and I didn't feel like coughing up a extra 100 bucks

Nice review/ but I was hoping to hear about the sound quality.I remember long ago there were versions of ipods that had superior sound over later generations. If apple truly wants iPod to continue. I think they should use the highest quality sound chips available to differentiate it from iPhones or any other phones. I loooooooooooove sound quality over everything else. I am not a huge fan of apple/ but always loved their ipod series.
+DoomTrain didn't notice anything regarding sound good or bad. Decent sound for most people, as an audiophile I would suggest you look elsewhere. I love high quality sound but don't consider myself to be an audiophile so this is fine for me.
What Rionna said but you can't use it like a mobile phone, it must connect to WiFi to do the FaceTime features and obviously whatever app you use, it'll need to use the WiFi connection.

Nice review/ but I was hoping to hear about the sound quality.I remember long ago there were versions of ipods that had superior sound over later generations. If apple truly wants iPod to continue. I think they should use the highest quality sound chips available to differentiate it from iPhones or any other phones. I loooooooooooove sound quality over everything else. I am not a huge fan of apple/ but always loved their ipod series.
+DoomTrain didn't notice anything regarding sound good or bad. Decent sound for most people, as an audiophile I would suggest you look elsewhere. I love high quality sound but don't consider myself to be an audiophile so this is fine for me.

Arnoldas Juska you can FaceTime and "FaceTime Audio" on it. FaceTime audio is the exact same thing as calling, it's just called a different name.
What Rionna said but you can't use it like a mobile phone, it must connect to WiFi to do the FaceTime features and obviously whatever app you use, it'll need to use the WiFi connection.
