This game is tough as nails, so you must be even tougher to beat it :) Personally, I made it when I was 25 y.o. Still, for me, it is one of the best platformers ever.

I find it funny that as a kid I ruled this game. I finished counless times. Now as an adult I can beat StarCraft II in brutal mode but can hardly get past the first level here...
Ever noticed how there were lots of caveman themed video games during the 90s? You had this game and the sequel. Chuck Rock. Joe and Mac. And their sequels... Was it a trend?
I prefered this one over the Prehistorik 2 because of the look of animals and the music, however I could never beat level 4, because as kid I didn't know I need to hit the tail of that boss lol. After 20 years now I see the solution. xD
at the end, his wife cheat on him with that guy. then, in prehistorik 2 he wander trough the world to think about it and finally he returns home and force the guy to be their personal cook ;)

I broke the space key too, i remember turning on the PC with a button, also a TURBO button, and i remember the big diskette device, i also remember games like Sokoban or the Race Game i didn't remember the name, or Robocop. So much nostalgia, i was 2 but i remember the tunes, i remember playing this like no tomorrow, my first heartbumpings defeating a Boss. I was soooo happy then... thank god my mom lefting me play this games when i was 2yo. Now i have 26, i guess i remember the code in DOS C:/CDGAMES/GAMES/GAMESPREH/PRE or something like that... was so funny T_T
There was a way, how to glitch the game into a state, in which the player is invincible. It had something to do with spamming spacebar on the title screen or so. That way, we managed to get through the game as kids. Without this cheat, it was impossible.

that's probably it. i'm guessing he went out to hunt and eat, then once he was full and had some decent supplies returned to his house to feed his family. i eventually managed to beat this game long ago.

The penguin and the sea leopard in the second level are so cute. Shake both hands is so fantastic.

For me, the game always froze at the end of level 6, so I newer new how it finished ... until now (tears of joy)
