@@addrix6083 It would be interesting to see someone who does an amazing job with high quality editing softwares have to use limited softwares instead. I believe it's always about talent and not what you have in front of you so it would defiently be interesting.
Hey, your editing breakdowns are really good but it would be really cool if you make a tutorial on how to add those pacing and storytelling techniques to our own videos. Most editing tutorials just tell us how to make some transitions or how to make subtitles etc, while your videos actually teaches way more important things because there's a point where we know how to use our editing software, we know every single technical stuff on it but don't know how to make our video entertaining, paced etc... Basically, we don't know what to do with the technical stuff that we learnt and with our footage in general. Please do a tutorial, it would be incredible!
The only part that sucked about this was that we didn't get to see the before and after

Damn, as a Fast and Furious Fan, this hit home. The design was really good, love these kinds of videos.
Only point which I feel like is a little weak is at the beginning, when the camera transitions into the car and the engine noise goes up, but them tampers of a little, it kinda stops the build-up for a short moment and feels like an interruption.

Awesome video. not gonna say it's better than the actual film, but it is very good and stuff like this is so helpful for emerging filmmakers to understand how you have to layer sound to really get the right feeling for a scene.

I use FCPX, but you should use whatever software you can afford and makes you feel good to cut on. :)
@@HillierSmith okay thanks, I use premier pro but I’m just not sure on the whole programme it’s self. Bought it for a year tho so I’m sticking it out but looking at other alts :)

I get it but this is made by a guy who doesn't get those cars and those noises.
Like the sounds You kept were of Hummers and Duramax diesel engines.
Those cars have V8 & Inline 6 sounds and turbo spools and Supercharger whines and all.
The main audience of F&F is Car Guys and well tbh it doesn't do Justice from that stand point.
As a Editor and person who isn't a car guy its Excellent but just not the things that
make a Car guy Smile.

Thanks for posting again Hayden, I started your channel like 2 months ago. I watch your videos very carefully and I use your coaching. I trust you because you have helped a big youtuber (LP But i dont give a flying fuck about LP) and I enjoy comedy. The way you described the 3-story set up on the logan paul skit blew my mind.
I hope you post more content about being an editor rather than editing. Idk if that makes sense. Perhaps on a separate channel. Because for less knowledgeable people like me who don't know the laws around music, the sound effects, the copyright things that can ruin a channel - We appreciate people like you who we can look to as the Model.

Jajajaja on my school this was one of my project, recreate 90 seconds sounds design from scratch, I pick literally, exactly the same scene😂😂 but I took 50 hours. 😂😂 This is awesome brooo!!

I mean it's cool but car guys can hear a difference between a rotary rx7 and a stock peugeot 307. It would be better if you actually put some effort into matching the sounds correctly. Solid 2/10 because you tried :/ An iconic scene now sounds like bunch of karens are racing their minivans from the stoplight
@@HillierSmith It's ok! The fact he didn't realize you were using stock SFX and not exact audio captured from the actual vehicles in the film is comical....
@@beezermedia i kinda agree and disagree with the guy tho. I would of liked the individual car engine noises but I realized what was happening in this video immediately when i clicked on it.
@@beezermedia I realised that, I just said that choosing stock peugeot exhaust sound instead of something with deeper note (and maybe more raspy) was wrong in this case. I can be wrong but I think that there are better choices in those sfx pack he used in video. Answering the question he asked in his pinned comment and title of the video: I don't think he made it better, it's just ok. Fact that he did it in only 2 hours makes it better of course. No hate, I may have been too harsh. Cheers! :)
