Synopsis: The Pakistan Four is an award-winning documentary by Pakistani filmmaker and Fulbright scholar Shehzad Hameed Ahmad [www.shafilms.net] that world premiered at the New York University Film Festival in February, 2014. It charts the journey of 4 path-breaking Muslim women in the United States: Pakistan's first saber fencer, first international weightlifter, first international chef to win Chopped at the Food Network and the country's first standup comedian. Filmed in Portland, Chicago, Orlando, Atlanta, New York City and Washington DC, the four narratives run in parallel, building up to one major event in each of their lives, with all four embodying the same goal in mind - redefining what it means to be a Pakistani Muslim female.

Well i do agree that at times our cultural values do get imposed on individuals but to just merely say that it represents the thinking of 212 million people is ridiculous. If one does care about a society wellbeing one must show both sides of the society. To expose only the negatives of a society, which in reality is only limited to a handful, is far from being just. I am an American Pakistani and so is the rest of my family, we are all fathers and mothers but just the idea of implementation hasnt even touched us let alone putting such in to practice. And trust me there are so many other families just like us, not that we dont care about cultural or religious values yet we also believe that forcing someone is against humanity and if you are representing Islam then you MUST MENTION THAT ONLY 20% OF ISLAM WAS SPREAD THROUGH A SWORD WHILE THE REST THROUGH IMITATION. Thats how awesome Islam is.
