    I usually use staff on a full power berserker build. Lots of quickness helps with the slow auto chain. The gameplay loop boils down to mauling enemies and farming free heals for the team on downed bodies that can’t dodge 😬

    • @captaincrapface7337
      @captaincrapface7337  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      that would be my Go-To option as well, if Arena didn't reduce [Rampart Splitter's] damage in PvP to auto chain level of underwhealming.
      still not sure if that's an intended nerf or a bug though.

    Tbh I love support Spellbreaker in PvP. I regularly have above 600k heal, so I guess I do not miss that much.
    But yes, Warrior in general needs a lot of rework and tweaks.
    Regarding shouts: For Great Justice has two charges, meaning it heals as much as the banner of defense and grants offensive boons. In pvp is grants a lot of burst damage through might for your team.

    • @captaincrapface7337
      @captaincrapface7337  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      one charge of shout heals just shy off 2k health, while [Banner of Defence] provides 4.2k barrier and after that up to sic pulses, 4 seconds of regeneration each, which is 911 health for every pulse, meaning up to 5440 healing over time.
      Swapping either of ammo shouts for Banner effectively leads to more teamwide survivability.
      Sure burst from having much might is cool, but unless you are on voice with your teammates you wouldn't be able to coordinate well enouth to not waste this utility most of the time, as situations where your team needs healing, and situations when they can utilize damage steroids aren't usually the same situations, and it takes a moment to realize you've been buffed in the first place.

      I’ve also use to finish on 500k-600k up to P1.
      I’m agree with you that some damage mitigation further than protection would be great. Depend just on raw healing is not the best way to go.
      However the amount of healing provided is more than enough to keep companions alive and rarely die myself. Tbh I feel it a bit OP at this point compared with other supports.
      I would suggest you to go for Sword Warhorn offhand. Mainly camping staff but switching for some extra conditions cleanses, barrier and sword mobility to link the staff while kitting.
      Shouts are better than banners because they are instant (can be used even while stunned) and also clean condition to the whole party with trooper relic while the regeneration from the banner is over capping with staff F1 so is a waste.
      Support warrior can be improved but will be meta as one of the top healers for sure.

    • @Cyrtox
      @Cyrtox 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey. I already thought you might Bring up the regeneration. True If you count all that, the raw healing will surpass the shout. However the banner has a cast time, your team mates move out of the initial zone or probably wont stay within it afterwards.
      Shouts on the other hand are instant, castable while stunned and provide same initial healing (except for 5 secs in between and poison issues). For Great Justice gives your team Fury and also 12! (Not 6) stacks of might in pvp. For 6 seconds, that ist actually burst for the whole team. It is noticable.
      Personally I run spellbreaker with shout heal, fgj, shake it off and then balance stance to counter burst and for the stability. At first I was using Banner of Defense but no self defense cd and the cast time breaks it for me. I am also using Trooper for the cleanse. Together with warhorn you get quite a lot of cleanse. And Dagger is a great option as well. So many leaps and interrupts and boon removals with those weapons.

      I even seen healzerker carry like nobody's buisness despite staffs preasumably bugged F1 damage.

    • @captaincrapface7337
      @captaincrapface7337  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried that as well and found it less effective than Staff-LB core warr.
      you are going to expect more blindness and aegis in teamfighs, as there where AoE oriented Necro, Guard etc. builds wil go by defauilt, so you are more wanting for resistance than on sidenode.
      More CC flying both ways is aslo an issue for warrior, as he is going to be in the middle of it all, if he chooses to go mele.
      Finally with adrenaline steroids from staff 2 and 5, as well as [Mercyless Hammer] trait, it is easy to generate enough adrenaline for 2nd, sometimes 3rd level bursts, and keep them coming with help of [Burst Mastery's] adrenaline refund.
      2nd, and 3rd lvl [Path to Victory] heals acale absurdaly well when you have healing power.
      Spellbreaker can't take advantage of that.
      Henceforth, my experimentation eventually got me to abandon spellbreaker, at least for now. we'll see how this build preforms once i drag myslef back up closer to rank where i started this bonanza.

      Warr doesn't even have a projectile block in his core toolkit, and even if we consider Golden Nope as one, it goes in the elite slot, just as warrior's only revive skill.

    You’ve made me realize that Anet is sleeping on offering a class fantasy no other current MMO does-to my knowledge, one no MMO ever has: A healer that’s a Line Officer/Angry Sergeant/Etc
    A healer that does what actual platoon officers do (or did, particularly in WW1&2) and stands up in the line bolstering morale and directing the troops.
    A hypothetical specialization could give them Warhorn Mainhand (with a whistle as the unique collection skin) Pistol offhand. Particularly good at stability and maybe barrier healing (if I understand correctly, atm the only really viable barrier healer is Scourge which struggles with stability, while one or more guardian specs are great at raw healing and stability). Stability being the mechanical opposite of fear makes this play to the fantasy.
    Ofc, Pistol 5 needs to be some version of “Serve on the Line or the Firing Line” Shoot ally furthest from your target to provide buffs to Allies within X distance of yourself. Duration doubled if targeted ally is outside X distance.
    Presumably it would be good at quickness, to continue fillin in the mechanical niche opposite scourge.
    Shouting at your friends to solve all problems 10/10
    Or they could just rework discipline or defense to offer basically this, and stop having both be mandatory.

      Tbh this could be archieved with less workload by soft reworking mace manihand, which currently only offers unfair bunker opportunity to condi zerker.

    I don't like your build. Its to focused on keeping yourself alive and not your allies. Plus your video constantly shows you 1v1 and not in Teamfights. A healer who is not in Teamfighs is practically throwing. As someone who consider themselves a support main. Warrior support still need some help. I Like adding stability to a shout skill or making that Stability Banner instant Cast. Give that reveal shout Aoe reveal and some other defensive boons. Support Warrior is best paired with Spell Breaker. I go Hammer or Dagger, Shield and Staff and CC the F out of the enemy team.
    There is currently so much projectile vomit and Condi damage in the meta that reflects and Condi Cleans is necessary. Hence why Tempest and Firebrand has taken over. Solo supporting in PVP is always a pain in the butt regardless. Warrior is best and chasing Running Teammates due to better mobility. All healing classing suffer from teammate running away so you have to position yourself properly in order to maximize your healing. Warrior is best Raw healing class. I can easily get over 600k+ heals in a PVP match. The other 2 healer classes are better due to their utility.

    • @captaincrapface7337
      @captaincrapface7337  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Consider this, the longer I'm alive the more staff skills i can cast, and all of them AoE heal. Further than this [Banner of Defense] is also a teamwide utility, which grants 4.2k barier and 5.4k healing as regen - significantly more than a shout with ammo, and I'm also running [Shake it off] by the way, so only real sacrifice is heal slot and one utility slot, which are both dedicated to tolls that let me forget about my own safety and support my teammates in situations where more shouty build, would fold under the enemy pressure.
      When it comes to my gameplay, yes I'm garbage, I joke about it in this very video, however me playing like a pepega becaouse you can take man out of sidenode, but you can't take sidenode out of a man isn't an argument about the build itsef.
      I have tested support spellbreaker, and according to my testing, its succes revolves around enemy team playing like I do (poorly), hammer is sluggish, and has small effective area of its CC skills. (Hammer 5 is single target for example.)
      The four enemy players usually have enough AoE blinds to make half of your CC miss, by a complete accident on their side, and there are many people who are well trained in playing against hammer warrior due to its popularity over last few months.
      You can acomplish similar effect to hammer's distruption, by supplying massive AoE, condition pressure, and your own blind spam, trough a courtesy of a long bow.
      It seems situationally dependent wheither Spb or that is better to run, but most often i find Staff-LB core, perform marginally beter.
      Shure Warrior heals a lot with Shouts, but equipping more than two means you effectively run around with your pants down, due to shouts having zero defensive utility at all.
      Unfortunatly adding defensive utility to shouts means Supertank Shout Bladesworn will immediatly rise from the grave, becouse shouts are ammo skills, and he has a built-in synergy with those, so either we remove ammo from shouts, or we can't make them any good, in any reasonable capacity, becouse Arena shoved that issue under the rug instead of fixing it.
      Another issue of the same magnitude; playing Tactics-Spellbreaker means not running Defense-Disciplie setup, which is omnipresent for a bloody reason.
      Not playing Defense-Discipline is more negative tradeoff, than not playing spellbreaker.
      Last few sentences of yours, everything from projectile vomit onward, I cannot disagree with as they are compltly true.
      One thing I have to mention though, how do you think, if warrior gets AoE projectile block, where will it go if not into utility slot :/

      @@captaincrapface7337 Problem with buffing Shouts on Warrior is they can easily become broken. AOE instant cast Projectile Block/Reflect for 2 seconds on a Shout sound broken to be honest. Only other choice would be to put it on a Banner either Tactics of Defense Banner but the Cast time is stupid. I like the Defense Banner but the Tactics Banner is more useful in this Meta in my opinion. The Tactics banner gives better utility which Warrior desperately needs. In addition, the Staff plus Shouts can burst Heal very effectively. The cast time for the banners is just Dumb I would put it to 1/2 a second Similar to [Snap Pull] on Warrior staff.
      I am currently running Defense 1,2,2 I find [Shield Master] is really strong in this Meta but I swap to [Cull the Weak] if have the Hammer. Tactics 2,2,2 and Spell Breaker 2,2,3. For great Justice, Banner of Tactics and Shake it Off. The Shout Heal and Battle Standard Banner.
      I went and Ran your build for about 20 games and I actually had a lot of fun. I still hate the Long Bow and wanted to swap it for Hammer (to cater more to my playstyle) but the range pressure on down bodies and keeping the Point a damage zone was amazing. I think for the build running The banner choice is fine only because of [Balance Stance]. Also I baited out some many stuns with the Defense banner only to then instantly pop [Balance Stance] then Dropped [Battle Standard] for the kill or revive . Many times the heal skill brought my from the brink of death to Full health due to being focused but Scrapper, Thieves, Mesmers, Holosmiths and Dragon Hunters who who love to one shot you. Sun bathing in Scourge Aoe vomit was super fun for that full heal. However, I was fine in all the damage but my allies where dead lol. I still think the Spell Breaker Healer is better for healing allies, with your build being a good alternative. It also allows you to 1v1 and hold points like a beast.
      The build is clearly inspired by someone who likes to be a sidenoder but wants to heal.
