Been enjoying the build a lot. The gunzerking memes are so good, especially in Push because the map is so open with little cover. Maybe not anywhere near plat with my skill, but definitely plenty of fun down under. People kind of underestimate just how much damage you still have after firing off 2 bursts, though you really need to hold your nerves and wait for that opportunity to present itself, sometimes at very low health. You can do these things: Get a double sword stab kill rally off of vengeance after being hunted in the opening Block an axe thief’s burst then give them a 12k Gun Flame after they try to port away (let go of movement keys for auto-aim) Tank a Willbender’s burst with Savage Instinct, leap away and kill them with double Flaming Flurry while running away Unblockable gunflame through projectile hate to interrupt a rez, then downing and cleaving 3 people with explosive shell + volley There’s probably a more stable build for teamfighting in Push matches, but nothing beats shooting people through all their defences and watching them fall over in terms of therapeutic value.
As the great Harry Callahan once said, "a man's got to know his limitations". And i know myself well enough to know I'm not nearly good enough to run glassy like this. That being said... I really do like the idea of running around like a steampunk commando and blasting fools with a gun. I'mma try it 😅
Note: You can (and should) be running around popping at least [Signet of Fury] if not all of your signets when you're (100% sure) you're going to get the cooldowns back before your next combat. These add stacks of Signet of Ferocity, even if you're out of combat, that last for 60s !!! 😁 (e.g. At the start of a match waiting for the gate to drop, capping a point after a fight, etc.)
You know what i love about gunzerker? It shuts down a lot of running shenanigans. So your thief can blink up that bridge? Cool cool... Can you pull that off in less of a second of notice? No? I guess that makes you useless. Also, if you want to play on the dangerous side you can take "On My Mark" instead of balanced stance. It's really good at getting you into combat without signaling your target with damage. The guardian can go from full to 0 in less than 2 seconds with you muttering in the distance. If you're really good you can fire off the combo while falling.
Ah gunzerker, the build where its raison d'être is around a single gimmick that can be negated by stepping behind a wall. If Anet wanted to throw some love to the build, they should make brutal shot something like "your next burst or ammo skill is unblockable" so you wouldn't have to devote almost all your utility slots, heal, and elite to make one skill kinda work some of the time.
I work in US politics, so my work became… let’s call it more time consuming around June. I’ve stopped playing GW2 and never even made a warrior. But man I’m still invested in your emotional journey through a profoundly abusive relationship with Anet. Btw: The Olympics taught me that this new gunzerker clearly isn’t American. Apparently not a single one of us can shoot. Must spend too much time carrying them around and yelling to practice.
Seen a lot of these running around the past week or so. Hits like a truck and the unblockable attacks leave you defenseless. It’s like the Virtuoso one-shotters running around lately.
Dual swords looks pretty interesting, Usually I run Dagger/Warhorn but i'll give this a shot. I like trying to pump out as much damage as possible from the gunflame shots though, I recently started running weaver relic for it's extra 10% damage on balanced stance ;3
Cool, i just came back after 3 years and used this build to get knight of the arena back then. Just used a shield instead of second sword, did 2nd sword get a buff?
@@MrTimdeK well, a lot has changed since 3 years ago, mostly in warrior's traits and trough the inclusion of relics. Sw offhand is prefferable to shieald in current meta, as at range it behaves as hard block would, essentially giving you shieald block but on 15 sec cooldown if you kite. - a small skill check, for large benefit.
