It needs a good cleaning and polishing. The tipping material is intact. Thats a very good thing. The diamine or Rohrer cleaners do great job. Within 10 to 15 mins it will clean thoroughly.
I don't think that I've had a Sheaffer's pen I didn't like. 😁 I have really only open nib versions, from a flattop lever filler, to several Touchdown fillers, a Snorkel, back to the last type of their lever fillers, right before they started the cartridge only student pens. @@ThePenCollectorBogdan My flattop from Sheaffer's is a black Radite ringtop with a 5-30 nib. I think that the Balance Junior is my current favourite of my vintage Sheaffer's. Although slim, they're just fun to write with.
