Agreed. Lou was being a brat here. A few well placed funny interruptions are okay but when nobody can finish a train of thought, it starts to bug. John had some funny comebacks though.
I had to stop watching this episode, Lou Dinos crinkling paper from his sandwich, and slurping his drink, and interrupting with non sequiturs drains John Stamos of his energy and makes him lose his place in the stories he is telling. You can see the frustration on his face. If Lou has to be there out of loyalty, put him in the booth with the crew.
Nothing against Lou but it’s so hard to watch this podcast with him.

Agree 100%. I stopped watching 10 minutes into to video. Couldn’t cope anymore with so many interruptions and misplaced comments.

I met John Stamos in 1984, for the first time, when he was filming "Dreams" with Jamie Gertz, Cain DeVore. He was so Personable, Humble, and Sweet! Jamie Gertz was so sweet and awesome too! In later years he met my mom, through her work, and he was still so Awesome! I think very highly of him as a person and never let his success go to his head. He was and is such a humble human!
@ 11:48 The movie Lou was trying to refer to was Fatal Vows: The Alexandra O'Hara Story (1994) with Ben Gazzara and Cynthia Gibb. It was an excellent movie.
Stamos handled Lou masterfully.

@@heathergoodger5002 I was thinking that a bit, but by the end I got the impression that they actually know each fairly well and it was just them joshing with each other and they’re sense of humor... I think they were just cracking on each other with a really dry humor. I also was getting Michael J Fox vibes from him.. but I’m not sure if it was John or him trying to follow the three of them and keep up and crack jokes. This was definitely a very neurotic conversation but still entertaining.

I agree I started watching early on and it was getting better . Then I watched Lou talk too much with Bill Burr and it was uncomfortable and didn’t work . No hate Lou I’m sure your a good guy just not a fitting co host . Focus on the father daughter dynamic and guests
Howie, I've watched about 8 of your "shows." Your interactions with Jackie are great, but Lou kills the energy too many times to make him an asset to you. Your loyalty to him is fabulous and to be applauded, but know he hurts the program overall. This show was difficult to get through.

yeah see you at first I thought it was just an act. And then 20 minutes into it. No not an act. There was something going on like he was very uncomfortable. Like he did not want to be there. And it's like almost took a jab at Howie. He goes aren't you afraid of germs. Obviously something that we all know. But I don't know it's just, feels like a forced interview
He is afraid of a lot of things. Brad Williams tells a Bob Saget story, about Stamos being afraid of little people.
He has had prescription drug problems... I was thinking he probably had something in his system
I have a whole new appreciation for John Stamos and have to say this is the least distracting Lou has ever been.

After watching a few of these podcasts with Lou, I realize he could add value. However, currently he’s destroying the show because he doesn’t understand timing without headphones on or because he’s a bad comic (or both), and he just steps on every guest that comes through the door. He makes it about him in every situation, and that has to stop if this is going to be successful. Listen to John in this particular podcast and his frustration with Lou and him interrupting every other sentence. Howey he interrupts every other sentence to so it becomes a big talk fest who can dominate the conversation over the next person. You’ve done radio before you get how this works stop fucking it up. I wanna love the show and format, but keep growing.

I have a generalized anxiety disorder. It prevents me from doing a lot outside of working. When I’m not working I’m completely helpless I feel, but that’s only in my head obviously but that’s also the problem. ITS IN MY HEAD. Not everything I perceive as a threat is a real threat. It just becomes a threat for no reason.
Howie that is awesome. As a Gulf War Veteran, I've always felt that when people can accept their faults as a person and aren't afraid of it in life carry themselves better with other people. Being all around the world and being in the War, people aren't as perfect as we make in the media or any type of media. I do know the cruelty that comes along w/abnormalities in life, you can never rid of it any where in the world, but you can embrace by how you deal with it. It's awesome, cause you are showing the reality among "celebs" that they're just like everyone else, because you are, just with a talent you weren't afraid to express and do. Most people go, nah, I cannot do that. Love ya Howie keep up the good work, and trust me Covid shutdown took a tole on me too, not just because of the isolation, but because I'm a person that can't live in world with restraints and constriction in outdoors or indoors. I love being free and meeting people, the world and learning from people them self their culture and how we are so much the same no matter we are in the world. It's a great thing. Covid shut down it's like severing the artery among people to unite and move on from the past that many dwell on but, don't learn from. Love Howie!

I don't know what to say. I love Howie and want to give this podcast a chance. But Lou is such a distraction. I'm sure he's a good friend to Howie, but he really disrupts the flow of the conversation. It's really unfair to the guest. Stamos seems like he is a really interesting guy. The Sinatra story was amazing. Bet he could have told more like that if given a chance. Such a waste of a great guest. I not trying to be mean to Lou, but he really is not helping this podcast. Regarding the sleep, somehow I've developed the ability in my adult years to just lay down, close my eyes, and go to sleep in less than two minutes. And then I will always wake up without an alarm clock six hours later. It's a very interesting thing. I know many people that struggle with getting to bed. And I don't know if I have much of a strategy other than focus on thinking about sleeping, prioritizing your thoughts about thinking about your dream, of what and where you want it to happen... and somehow that seemed to help me in the past. But now it's just involuntary almost.

A cursory glance at the available information on Lou seems to indicate that by 1987, not even his friend Howie could get him a bit part in a movie. I think Howie is great but it's bewildering that he doesn't pay any mind to the obvious visceral disappointment on his guests faces when Lou is in the room. Lou's inclusion in this podcast is increasingly disrespectful to Howie's guests. Some of the interviews I've been most excited for are completely ruined.
Get rid of Lou.
