Maybe society needs another kind of relationship definition, like "adopted companion" or something like that. I’ve always been an old soul and I get along with people over twice my age. We have a very strong bond and we’ve barely brought up our ages since we got together 8yrs ago. Our first date was my 19th birthday and we’ve been together ever since. Alot of people judged our relationship because I was 19 and he was 47, but that judgement made us stronger. Sometimes you cant help who you fall head over heels in love with. Now i’m 27 he is 55 and we have 2 children and are happy. we’ve had rocky moments almost got divorced, but we powered through and I like to think we’re stronger than ever now.

World changes so much people that people born 15 -20 years later literally live in different world. And there is always power imbalance in age gap relationship with older person being more experienced, having more wealth being more established in the career and life and younger being more naive, easily influenced, earlier in their career, having less life experience and power in general. Maybe society needs another kind of relationship definition, like "adopted companion" or something like that. We’ve been married 30 years and have a beautiful daughter & son.. Unfortunately My ex didn’t get to have children of his own because she had decided not to have more after her 2nd. Although I must admit I would’ve liked to have been a fly on the wall when he told his mom her age and that she came with a college age son and 12 year old daughter! Ohhh the irony!!

Me and my girlfriend Claire have a 8 year age difference she’s 31 and I’m 39 and we started dating when she was 22 and I was 30 I saw her from a distance in 2014 and then a year later in 2015 we met on Facebook she reached out to me and we started talking on their and than on the Monday after new years in 2016 i asked her If she wanted to meet me at the mall and get to know me and she said yes she’d love to and I secretly set it up as a date but i didn’t tell her that it was a date because I didn’t want to scare her away and so we met at the mall and from the moment we met sparks ⚡️ flew between us we kissed and I got her number and what sealed the deal and made me fall in love with her was when she gave me a hug and kiss 💋 goodbye and that was it and 3 days later I called her and told her that I really like her and I asked her to be my girlfriend and she was alittle hesitant at first but she said yes and we have been together ever since 8 years now and a than a few weeks later on our second date i told her that I love ❤️ her and she was like u barely know me and I’m like so what I mean when you know u know and than on Valentine’s Day we had a double date and on that day she made our relationship Facebook official and confirmed our relationship and she said I love ❤️ you to me for the first time best valentines 💘 day ever for me and it has been wonderful ever since she makes me so happy 😀 and I’m so in love 😻 with her we have such a beautiful and wonderful relationship it’s magic 🪄 I’m one. Very lucky and blessed man to have a beautiful Angel like her in my life and the funny thing is no one has ever said anything about our 8 year age difference her parents and mine and our families and friends have been supportive of the relationship since the beginning and it’s wonderful
