Thank You Mr. Reza. You are a genius. Another beautiful lesson. (I enjoy and appreciate Your series so much more than the Cutter and Tailor Blog. I was a member. Although, I am sad that it is dead) Thank You again for Your generosity 😊

Hi Resa. Another excellent video tying up all we learned into a practical piece of the jacket. I keep going back to the theoretical lessons as I keep seeing those links and inventing new exercises as I go along. Brilliant way to learn and get all this stuff into our brains and fingers. One question about this video: you say you are adding some inlay to the collar in case you widen the lapel later, but none of the other pattern pieces have inlay on the pattern itself. Is what you are doing here different?

Great work on inventing new exercises Dirk! Keep at it. And also, going back to theory lessons is a dream come true for me. That is exactly how you should watch these videos!
Your answer: It is easier and a lot more practical to add the inlay for the collar onto the pattern. But there is nothing wrong with excluding it on the pattern and adding it on the felt/melton/cloth. As long as one is aware of it.

Hi, you said when fitting a collar to a jacket to wear a shirt and also when measuring the neck circle do it around the shirt collar. If you are making a coat or overcoat that is worn over a shirt and jacket how would you measure the circle to draft the coat collar pattern for the coat?

@internationalschooloftailoring Respectfully, You need to start with patterning if the objective is to teach tailoring on this channel. Learning about the collar is fantastic but what good is it if we your viewers don’t know how to draft the pattern off of measurements to actually make a suit. Regardless, Excellent video. I want to see this channel grow

There is a 10min preview vid, but not this in-depth. Sometimes ppl will see 46min and move on b/c attention spans so I get why someone would do a preview.
