@@OFFICIALISOTso we will have to be a bit more patient? I guess I'll start on your jacket first and hopefully finish it by the time the pattern drafting module comes out. 😄
The bundles seem expensive but are very good price. I am making my own jacket and had to source all of the elements individually and spent about the same amount - actually a little more!
If you're referring to the front pitch that is located near the pocket, it's squared down from the most forward point of the front scye curve. Square to the chest line that is. If on the other hand your referring to the the front pitch on the front scye, it's 1/4 of the armhole depth measured upwards from the lowest point of the armhole. I will cover all these in-depth in future lessons. Reza
Great video’s. I have a question. You turned the underarm piece so the backseam faces the fold, because the upperarm piece the backseam also faces the fold? When constructed als pieces then have the same direction on the weft. What about when youre fabrics has a pile?
Hello Yulan, How exciting! You can find all the information you need in the FAQ section at the bottom of this page: www.internationalschooloftailoring.com/product-page/traditional-bundle-bespoke-tailoring-trimmings-and-materials If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us via mail: info@internationalschooloftailoring.com
We do this to make the patterns fit within the fabric length that we have. This is however not possible on fabrics with a pile such as velvet. For more understanding please watch this lesson on the theory of striking out: th-cam.com/video/WuvWLlDB-Q0/w-d-xo.html Reza
Hello Linda, I am marking on the wrong side. Fortunately, this fabric looks practically identical on both sides :) Pencil may not come out easily if marked heavily. But as long as you mark on the "wrong side" and keep that side as the wrong side, you should not need to mark with a pencil on the right side. Reza
Hello Reva. This pattern is available for free on our website, www.internationalschooloftailoring.com/jacket-patterns We will go through the drafting process in the last Module of this course. Reza
Hello Reza. I find it difficult to align the grain/pattern of fabric on fold and also to cut the pieces on fold. Is it ok to mark and cut everything single layer twice? Is cutting on fold just made to save time? Thanks.
Cutting on fold is usually done with plain fabrics. While you can cut the patterns twice on a single fold, I would recommend to follow the instructions in the video and not worry much about aligning every single millimetre of grain on your fabric. It will simply not be possible. Reza
Hey , for what size body will this Jacket fit?... I have chest 40,waist 36, length 30inches...do i have to alter any things or something..?...I downloaded the files but..not sure about getting them printed it may not fit me.. please do reply!
Excellent directions. Thanks.
Thanks Reza.
Love this. Can’t wait for more.
It's very good Reza in this vidéo
Amazing. This is Treasure. 👏
Terrific instructions! I like how you shifted the pattern where necessary and how the pattern pieces fold up into a small bundle. Very clean work.
Thank you Sandra!
We are always puzzling during lays. Everything is possible as long as the principles of striking out are kept in mind.
Reza
Thank you Sir, for teaching us.👌👏👍💐😊🙏🙏
can’t wait for the next one
Thank you for the lesson
Great lesson!
Thank you Daniel. I'm glad you found it useful :)
Reza
Thank you for your help
You're welcome Amin :)
Reza
Thanks very much 👏👏👏
Will you cover how to draft my own pattern?
Yes! We will do that in Module 5. We're not there yet :)
Reza

Exciting stuff. Great instructional quality. Will you eventually also cover drafting the patterns as well?
Thank you James!
Absolutely. I'm going to teach how to baste, finish, fit and draft :)
Reza
Thnx a lot 🎉

Now I can't wait for the pattern to be available so I can follow along
It will be available this month :)
Reza
Great tutorial!
How do you know where to position the sleeve front pitch on the pattern?
If you're referring to the front pitch that is located near the pocket, it's squared down from the most forward point of the front scye curve. Square to the chest line that is.
If on the other hand your referring to the the front pitch on the front scye, it's 1/4 of the armhole depth measured upwards from the lowest point of the armhole.

Please can someone refer me to the pattern drafting video?
I cant find it

Do you have a video that talks about plus size suit tailoring and how to adapt the patterns for larger sizes?
It will be there.
Reza
Why are the side panels and under sleeve upside down as the front and back pieces?
We do this to make the patterns fit within the fabric length that we have. This is however not possible on fabrics with a pile such as velvet. For more understanding please watch this lesson on the theory of striking out:

Are you working on the right side or wrong side of the fabric here? If this is the right side, wil markings come out, especially the pencil?
Hello Linda,
I am marking on the wrong side. Fortunately, this fabric looks practically identical on both sides :)
Pencil may not come out easily if marked heavily. But as long as you mark on the "wrong side" and keep that side as the wrong side, you should not need to mark with a pencil on the right side.
Reza
What are the seam allowances for this pattern?
3/8” (1CM)
These are already included in the pattern.
I mention this throughout the lessons whenever necessary.
Reza
How to make this pattern?
Hello Reva. This pattern is available for free on our website, www.internationalschooloftailoring.com/jacket-patterns
We will go through the drafting process in the last Module of this course.

Is there a reason the inlays are marked and added at this stage and not includes on the pattern itself?
