When you do a clean factory reset do all the apps that were install when you received pc reinstall like Netflix, weather, office, OneNote and all the game apps, or do you have to reinstall them yourself?

Gbenga: well dislikes are invisible to people now, but the only thing I can think of is, maybe some people tried it and it didn't work out for them. but since computers can have all kinds of issues, sometimes it can be hard to pinpoint exactly what's going on. restarting or rebooting windows might not always address your issue, rebooting windows sometimes can fix a problem, but it's not always a guarantee. it's always smarter to have a professional look at your computer first, to make sure you don't screw something up.

my pc has so many things wrong so i kind of have to reset and im not losing much because i only play a couple of games daily but it feels so scary

Bought a new HP laptop and when setting it up I had to use my old computer to do it. So Windows 11 with Edge and Bing got into my other computer and now I can't use my older HP with Windows 10 for anything. Following you and starting back to work. Thanks for your site.

Hi im using the first step on reseting the computer i did not wipe all the files. Just got reseting my PC for those who are having problems on stucking in % or having problems when it go backs from 90% to 0% Just dont do anything to your computer guys just wait it will end soon maybe some are fast maybe some takes too long it depends on your Pc if how much viruses or bugs let the computer fixed the problem “Patience is virtue”. Bdw its takes 4hours and 30mins to my pc and now its worth it no more viruses and also having a smooth playing better performance. I did not use the 2nd option because im already satisfied for the first BDW thanks Dave for your easy procedures i click sub. To your channel more power :)

Did you have to reinstall apps?
You will have to reinstall apps I'm afraid. If you are doing the 'keep data' option you will find a helpful list on your desktop when it's finished, called 'removed apps'. This tells you all the apps they've removed, and the websites where you can download them again.

Worked great! Took about like 4 hours but my ssd memory had 120gb of free space(after using all these other TH-cam methods and then also trying third party software) Now it had 445gb! So grateful 🙏🏽

@@everydayfun9531 i will be completely honest with you, after i reset it it was okay for a few days then i had to reset it again and again because the issues reappeared and it was an endless cycle , it was only a waste of time and energy. Finally I got fed up and bought a new one, the best decision ever !!!
A friend later on told me that resetting it does absolutely nothing unless I fully reset it and download the software again but since i know merely nothing about technology and don’t know if that was the reason.
i hope you will have luck and get your device fixed properly because i know the feeling and you have my empathy…
@@izelhatirnaz9075 I resetted the whole damm laptop with my backup it's so annoying and so infuriating your laptops suppose to be in good top shape and it's an Yr old laptop how embarrassing was that today for me that I even had to go to a computer shop and the Laptop started to work again it F betrayed me...

A quick question: What happens to the drivers of key components such as the motherboard, gpu etc. when we select the 2nd option and delete everything? Do we have to download them or use an external component to install them such as DVD or USB? If the motherboard's driver is deleted than we won't be able to access the internet right?

@@taylorgang4652 Windows downloads all of the drivers itself. I had troubles with this but tried it anyway and everything went smoothly. I actually plan to do this once a year to clean my PC.

Which option did you choose?
Yo I got a decent pc, high end i5 gtx 1080ti 16gb of ram. However when I reset it my monitors show a no signal sign, after waiting an hour I decided to jus manually restart the computer with the power button. Pc Came back on with an error message. I’m just confused as to wether my pc is actually resetting as other tutorials show a monitor displaying a percentage of how far through the reset it is etc. However as I said mine shows a no signal sign. Can anyone help?
Hi Dave, great video, that's easy to follow, however I had one issue. After resetting my Dell laptop (Removing apps, but keeping files) and restarting I find I have a small blue circle flickering next to the cursor, which is very annoying.
I do not have a mouse as I am using the touch pad. I have tried restarting the laptop and checking the touch pad driver, but all seems up to date. Any help appreciated.

Yes I did everything you say I had a power connection when it was plugged there but my son unplugged it and I didn't know there would dessame click OK start the installment all over again But it won't pull up light when you 1st start out with the keys and let it just up one at law window in the say and preparing So how do I get back to the States so I can restart it all back over againI need your help as soon as possible thank you
