Sorry to hear about car troubles. It always seems like when you start saving for something no matter what car you have it decides to kick the bucket. I've never had success with GoFundMe...but maybe others have. I'm sure it's all in who you know and how much you promote it.

Cars are pretty dumb, and cost way too much. I appreciate your feedback about GoFundMe! I was browsing through top surgery funds on there, and it seems discouraging. Oh well!
