In UK, they're called "jacket potatoes" or "baked potatoes". Traditionally, British people mash in any combination of butter/margarine/equivalent "spread", mayonnaise, salt, pepper, grated cheddar cheese, baked beans in tomato sauce, etc (or all of them!). In Japan, during street festivals, or in tourist street stalls, you can sometimes get them with butter and mayonnaise (mixed with "mentaiko" and spicy sauce, wasabi, etc), or even just butter and soy sauce.

Here in the UK in places like Birmingham where I live there are kiosks that sell jacket potatoes (baked potatoes) with fillings like grated cheese, baked beans, chilli etc (a favourite is chilli with cheese). There were shops called Spud U Like but they went bankrupt, however, the brand has been revived by TV chef James Martin and some of the fillings are a bit fancier - it costs about £4 for a potato there.

Thank you for showing us Russian fast food. We had blinis prepackaged at the supermarket in Paris. We usually did them with caviar & sour cream but I think the salmon would be even better. We have "stuffed" potatoes in the US. They are not as big & there aren't so many toppings but restaurants that have "salad" bars--even fast food places like Wendy's--would have a potatoe bar with baked potatoes & variety of toppings. Do any of your fast food places offer borscht? Cold beet borscht is one of my favorite things in the summer. I am vegan, so no meat & instead of sour cream I use cocnut based yogurt with it.

We did cook a lot more during the quarantine days of COVID since we had a lot of time then as it felt like the world wasn’t progressing. Though as we have gone back to our normal lives, we’re all back to having a lack of time.
We usually only eat McDonald’s like once or twice a month because it is unhealthy and typically get carry out from places in our area that are a bit healthier like Qdoba and Mission BBQ. Though McDonald’s can be a convenient dinner option for us on days where we are really limited on time.
We always make breakfast at home during the week since making a bowl of cereal or toasting bread is easy and quick. Sometimes we eat it at restaurants on the weekend as something to do. Good to know that there are good, perhaps better, alternatives. I have never entered Macdonalds or any other international US fastfood place. Your food looks delicious. I am sure that I would prefer Russian alternatives.

so if you like Burgers, you need to go to Svinigorod short out of Moscow. They have a nice little Restaurant there which will provide you with tasty rabbit burgers. I enjoyed them a few times two years ago when i worked at Valio.

Great video but if may make a small correction, the fast food places that were "sanctioned" actually voluntarily left Russia bc of everything going on and the government can't make them leave, they did that themselves after some deliberations. I am speaking of the US fast food places btw, I'm not sure about other countries reasons are

This blog is in very bad taste. So , you don’t have your Big Macs, but your collective followers (myself included), deserve better than “Home Made” Big Macs. You are both smart, cultured young people who can avoid the Utube censorship. Have you ever heard of the concept of “SPEAKING IN TONGUES?” It’s quite possible that your following will catch on real quick

When I notice people staring at you in the background, I wonder if it's because you're speaking English or just due to you recording in general? What is so shocking to them?

The security staff seemed to be loitering in the background when they sat down. Perhaps it was just the usual "no filming in a private property" or the extra sensitivity of "foreigners" in Russia, due to an evil little man's Na-ZEE inspired crusade against a country that sounds like "UK"?

Great! The food looks so tasty and healthy and it looks more a restaurant meal than a fast food one as there is such a wide choice. Anyway they will learn to make sandwitches better and the problem is not so big. Thank you for sharing your lunch in a Russian fast food.

Every country has their own fast food places that are influenced from the US. Either by making their own food in a way where you can mass produce it. Or a local spin off of American cuisine with local influence.

Wendy's is an American fast food chain that has loaded potatoes on the menu. I almost never eat at fast food places.
If I had to, my choice would be Culver's where you can get broccoli as a side. (I never do.) I like their pot roast sandwiches. They also make their own frozen custard which is richer than ice cream.
