    You're very good at teaching others, hats off. I hope you're getting monetary compensation somehow from your videos. I've played drums for years & fool around with samples & triggering quite a bit. I've seen people trigger samples live & not once has any of them come close to my 26" kick drum. I like the humanization you mentioned because on a live instrument, the player has a lot to do with the quality of the sound. I am going to look into using this for writing since my man cave doesn't have room for my big ass kit. I could use this to write my tunes and forward the band a copy of my home stuff. Thanks for the how to & info man.

    you have a ring in your room around 135hz that's pretty pronounced. It'll greatly improve your ability to discern what's happening down there if you take care of it (even though you're getting great results, it makes it even easier and faster to sort out the bottom, especially where most of your punch for snare, kick and bass are...). Great video!

    Man, you rock so fcking much! That's exactly the sound I was looking for, experiments in SD and Addictive drums wasn't THIS good for modern metal. And the fact that you can blend everything so easily and yet advanced is truly outstanding. I understand that there's very much depends from the sound engineering skill but I found those drums and your way of produce more reliable for me. Thank you so much!

  • @IsasHappyHour
    @IsasHappyHour 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A less expensive way is to layer preset drums in whatever software (if it even has any drum kit presets) and spread apart each drum into separate tracks (I.E make cymbals, toms, and so on) so you have more versatile way to eq the drums.

    I love how GREAT of a knack you have for teaching so much in so little. Like the drum midi humanization tips. You do this in pretty much every of your tutorials I've seen. And effectively, no beating around the bush BS. Wanted to tell you that I appreciate this a lot. Very hard to find TH-camrs good at doing that.
    Also, some of us can't afford Perfect Drums at the moment and only have the Player version installed. If I understand correctly, you can save custom sample kits as a file that anyone else can load (but not modify). Any chance you can update that Scourge kit with that? If not that's fine, I was trying to figure out FPC anyway :b

    PDs does sound quite excellent - the snares are the best anywhere!! The only problem for what I use would be the kicks. That cushy click transients are not happening for what I go for and of course that envelope is embedded in the sample so it's futile to try to get shed of it. For that I used Drumforge or perhaps SSD in some instances.

    Hello Mr. Zachary Spence, I just subscribed to this channel and I am going to connect to all your other media outlets. I just want to thank you for the excellent work you have done here. The resources and links are fantastic. I have been searching for a long time for good sounding rock\metal drum samples with balls that sound good. I am so sick of the shit ass TR707 tin can "Mario brothers" drum machine sounds. They served their purpose but for rock\metal it just don't cut it! The best thing you have to offer here are some great tutorials on how to use the samples once you find them. You definitely have a future in instructional writing and video composition. I am just getting started here and discovering lots of cool shit! I am an old fart but I just cant get enough of War Pigs! Thanks man keep up the good work, good attitude and good info.
