Still probably was a much higher budget than other arcs. I saw in another youtube vid that Wano was also the 20 year anniversary arc, so they worked extra hard to make it special. Of course the budget also needs to be allocated properly, not just throwing it somewhere and wasting it.
It's not consistent tho... Wano is filled with the overuse of the blur effect to the point you get dizzy in Act 1 before they toned it down, it did feel like they changed the animation team quite a bit and it's a matter of time. One piece tho will always have the "long running weekly" animation syndrome despite this change
So its not budget that makes the animation quality so high, its that they've been able to get tons of top-of-their-field animators to be working on the anime all the time. I wonder how they afford all those animators though 🤔

Before I watch the video, I just want to say that some people firget that scheduling, experience, and time management is so important. Some times budget doesnt even matter.
Disagree with the notion that budget has nothing to do with it, time is money, and hiring and training talented individuals is costly. Sure like you said the most important thing is time and talent, but those things don't come cheap.
If One Piece's animation quality is better now, then why was Gear 5's first apearance so horrible? It was even worse than Naruto's "My pain is greater than yours."

The reason toei able to consistently their animations. First they have sacrificed Whole Cake Island arc animations and Toei is literally largest anime studio in Japan meaning they have most animators and contacts through the industry
It's also a similar deal to Sunrise. Toei has A LOT of revenue streams that they don't necessarily need to make money off of the anime itself. Like, they get a lot of money from partnerships and sponsorships with electronic brands and car manufacturers not to mention food and produce. Look at Gundam, the reason why Sunrise can afford to make so many high quality animes and still traditionally animate mecha which is very rare nowadays in anime is because they get a lot of money from Gunpla kits. Well, not Sunrise directly but Bandai Namco who then throws money at Sunrise to produce Gundam shows.
yeah that is true, i feel like budget is very broad. I always assume it is budget becsuse gintama tends to explain its overuse of still frame as the show having budget problem they even explained the final season suffering from budget. But i feel like budget involves time as you give them you give them more money which relates with budget. Also getting good talent would probably involves more budget as theirs skills are more expensive than newcomers. just an assumption i could be wrong i learnt through gintama in some behind the scenes anime production as they seem to know what they are talking about
Super did start to get better later in terms of animation. At least they are finally getting away from gatling punches and having actual fights and choreography which I'm really glad for.
but the most intriguing part is how and why they decided one morning to change from Zou animation which was very stiff and average for a long-runner, to the Wano animation which is as good as that of a seasonal show
Since the start of Wano there have only been 5 episodes of filler. Your comment makes it sound like many of the episodes were filler which seems wrong?
@@kefkapalazzo1 that's not filler, that's just bad pacing , it's happening for the sake of NOT getting filler episodes. Bleach and Naruto have like 50% of their episodes being filler to avoid the pacing problem, while one piece went with the slow pace approach. Both have their pros and cons, but in my opinion, the approach of naruto ( having a million fillers and good pacing) is better than the approach of one piece ( no fillers and terrible pacing) just for the sake of the people who decide to start the anime late.. like right now. If someone wants to start naruto right now, they start it , they skip all fillers and it's a good experience. While for one piece, the experience will be worse for post-time skip arcs cus they are SOOOO slow and dragged out. In dressrosa we got to see rebecca's back story and her mother dying.. 8 times!!! So it's actually very wrong to call it.. a filler becouse it's basically the alternative of it in order to NOT get filler. What you call filler is the reason why we don't get fillers in one piece.. it's just, wrong. It's called "Bad pacing".
I'm confused. I agree that money isn't everything... But better allocation of budget allowed to hire those talents no? They didn't appear out of nowhere and by chance? Without money you can't hire all the talents you want, and you can't have multiple teams working in parallel speeding the process. That's my understanding from somebody that just watches
I think there might be some very minor mistakes with some names because i didn't get the chance to review the video when it's not edited by me, it's Tetsuji Akahori. Not Shigeo

Look at Gundam, the reason why Sunrise can afford to make so many high quality animes and still traditionally animate mecha which is very rare nowadays in anime is because they get a lot of money from Gunpla kits. Well, not Sunrise directly but Bandai Namco who then throws money at Sunrise to produce Gundam shows.
i mean the carrot transformation episode was dope.
yeah that is true, i feel like budget is very broad. I always assume it is budget becsuse gintama tends to explain its overuse of still frame as the show having budget problem they even explained the final season suffering from budget. But i feel like budget involves time as you give them you give them more money which relates with budget. Also getting good talent would probably involves more budget as theirs skills are more expensive than newcomers. just an assumption i could be wrong i learnt through gintama in some behind the scenes anime production as they seem to know what they are talking about
Always annoys tf out of me when people say it's budget. Budget has VERY little to do with quality.

wait until bro sees gear 5 💀
I hope Dragon Ball gets similar love and effort whenever it continues.
Hopefully
Most likely cuz almost every anime uses this beautiful animation
@jabron.destoroyah I agree
Super did start to get better later in terms of animation. At least they are finally getting away from gatling punches and having actual fights and choreography which I'm really glad for.
Bro your pfp is 🔥
Where did you get Chad Luffy pic? Lol
To all one piece fans, please be kind to animators
but the most intriguing part is how and why they decided one morning to change from Zou animation which was very stiff and average for a long-runner, to the Wano animation which is as good as that of a seasonal show
Wano surprises me every week with a new style of animation eventhough the episodes themselves may be fillers it's still so much fun to watch!
Since the start of Wano there have only been 5 episodes of filler. Your comment makes it sound like many of the episodes were filler which seems wrong?
@@JKSmith-qs2iithere’s a bit of filler in each episode
@@akhsdenlew1861 so the extra actions scenes are just bad pacing and not added in? Shut up lmao
It's called sakuga
