I don’t really turn down two track instrumentals. If it’s a cool track then I would write to it. It does allow more mixing options if the I have stems.
I believe I have a video for this. I would suggest creating an audio track and adding reverb to it. Turn on the input echo button on the track. Then record on a different audio track. You should be able to hear the reverb while you are recording but it won’t write to the track. There are other ways to do this also
My vocals have a loud air sound that keeps going in an out during the playback. I have a couple of audio effects going on in the tracks but even when I solo them out I hear this loud air sound.
Sorry you are having trouble. What kind of mic are you using? Are your recording around a lot of noise or do you have your air conditioner on/ fan noise from computer. Most likely these sounds have recorded into your audio. Another thing might be cause weird noises in audio is low memory. Try adjusting audio latency to slower setting. Let me know if this works

I haven't tried them but I am definitely a believer in modeling mics and headphones.
