You have to read between the lines. Obviously they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them (I don't think they get much subscription revenue these days lol), but there are reviews that don't get a happy thumbs up. The Process Al/dl review is one for example. And as Rich mentions, most bikes look pretty fun theses days.
4:15 Bikeradar made a video on that. The bike is so incredibly flexy that it might even prematurely wear out the rear shock because it has this weird specialized style link on it. Just look at the linkage. It is so flimsy, a not very stiff rear end should be expected. Here is the video: th-cam.com/video/yxJWjt3RTlM/w-d-xo.html
‘It’s expensive but that makes it a value’, (because it’s unique) this is a pretty goofy quote. I find these vids are good to see what’s new and out there but as far as critical testing I wouldn’t take any of these ‘reviews’ seriously.
I appreciate these reviews, but I take them with a grain of salt. They are just subjective ride impressions. Sometimes the things the reviews say come across as dumb, but I try to remember that it might be the edit, or the fact that they are talking mid-beer, post-ride. After a ride, and some beer, and a satisfying meal, I'm not always as articulate as I'd like to be. They are also saturated with high end machines, and I have no idea how much world experience they get with the full range of bikes that real people ride. I try to interpret these videos through those filters, and appreciate what info I can get from them.
I still feel there’s a lot of value in the broad experience these guys bring to the table, with their extensive knowledge & experience on such a broad scope of bikes out there. They do seem adept at categorizing them & objective enough to see the broader capabilities of a given model over the other vast manufacturers products of similar design/purpose. -maybe the beer was talking just a tinch🤪
Sorry way too much talking and not enough technical data. Let's see some shots of the bike going through a rock garden and compare how the suspension moves compared to a 120mm travel 29er or versus the suspension you think is best. What is the max width for the tires? Mud clearance? Need a Top Gear style board.
Big question are Marine wolf ridge and Polygon square one DH9 have colaboration about product design ? it's normal when 2 brand in one industries produce same product with 2 branding, they do it in car or motorcycle Industries , it's about busines, dealing and buying design are normaly !
Subjective, subjective, subjective. All of these reviews. Also, in the video, the rear suspension doesn't appear to move..... at all. Sounds like they're describing a hard tail.
I love the "idea" of these videos, but the execution is lacking. Its like body language and tone is so monotone and boring, Get a life line, you guys are able to ride bikes and test them and talk about them for a living, show some energy please, and how about dropping the beer, having more of a round table, bring in the girls on every bike review as well, talk about he company not just the bikes, talk about the industry etc.... there is a lot more than just geeking out on the specs and how much travel and dampening the bike has. Most people dont speak bike tech talk. and how about more videos in general dumping 50 videos all at once at the end of the year isn't a recipe for more subs and views. There are individuals who just ride bikes or work on them and have their own youtube channel with more subscribers and its because they put out quality content on a regular basis, dude hire me and ill run your online marketing video department
"most people don't speak bike tech talk" "most people" get sticker shock from 1000 dollar hardtails. If someone is considering a bike like in these reviews (usually over 5k) them better speak bike tech or else they're just blind consumers.
Like... I would’ve, like finished this video but like, I heard the word like, like too many times... like! Shoot me now!

It's so fugly that I would never even care about it's performance. Buy the software and you're instantly an engineer. But design takes real talent. If it were possible for a bike to have one chromosome to many this would be that bike. The only positive I see is that you could leave it anywhere and no one would steal it...
Can they get any more vague??
Love your opinions but don't stand in front of the bike and block the view whilst you describe your riding experience.
After last year's unwatchable shaky videos this is awesome!
Is there a bike they don't like.
It's hard not to like todays bikes. They all have similar geo but different suspension designs...

You guys testing the Trek Remedy?
Awesome review and couldn’t help but laugh at the shine of the tank and head. Spit shined 🤣

Mike "I grappled with this bike" ferentino
Any chance you guys will review the 2018 Canyon Torque CF 9.0?
could you do a video saying which is your top 3 or 5 bikes of the whole test?
It have dual disc or single disc
I could give the video a thumbs up only because you pronounced "Orbea Rallon" the correct way!
did you review the Square One also?
Are all if the bikes given to you by the manufacturers or whats the deal?
TH-cam User works the same way a car review works. Manufacturers have bikes they let them barrow
Alright, good to know. I expected it but wasnt sure.
Need to review the commencal meta am v4.2 please
Woooooo the guys are back
Fkn awsome.
It looks like it should be a e-bike.
Get out of the way of the frigging bike! I can't see it!
Holy shit guys. Could you have chosen a recording venue with WORSE acoustics??
It's possible. Watch any of the vids from last year's bible.
Will Ferrentino ever wear a pair of glasses that actually fit?

...nobody thought "presenting a bike video about a several thousand dollar bike in a microbrewery is a super douch bag move"?
maybe just a little too much beer while checking this bike out? and not enough comparison?
Whatever happened to this design? I thought it was going to be the next big thing.

Amen! so lame the way they do it.
Graphic designer available here to add some swag to ur channel!
They've definitely gotten worse since Vernon Felton went to pinkbike.

Guys...stash the beers for the interview...its cheesy
theyre literally in a brewery hahaha
Marin designs always end up being the king of flex.
Every video and all feedback is so vague... I don't get it.
66.5* HA
Why are you standing in front of the bike? Get out the way.
U wants subs..need more bike and less guys talking .annoying
I'm confused. Should I bike 🚲 or should I beer 🍺? Lol.
Marin / Polygon
Diferent! Top.
You guys look perpetually hung over! I just don't get this bike and beer thing. Seems like an oxymoron!
They hesitated so much during this video it suggests they didn't care much for this bike.
Marin goes out of their way to make the ugliest and most flexy bikes possible. Why are they still in business?
