I have a question ? is the front bumper support bracket safe in a crash test ? Is the foam cover still used to support the bumper to keep the front bumper cover from flopping around when driving at highway speed? I would think the aluminium support would fold up in a crash and not protect the front of car like the original equip. I like the idea of weight loss but safety is paramount when in a front end crash. Thanks for your videos : )
Thanks for watching Ryan! - I would suggest contacting Tig Vision RE: crash test / safety questions - The foam cover is not used with the Tig Vision bumper support - I have zero issues with the bumper cover flopping around, and I have removed additional structural components from the cover, including the splash guards and engine guard. I hope that helps! Again, I appreciate you watching my friend 🙏
Thanks for watching! I have not done the rear. I've been focusing on weight up front. Run no prep with the car, so having rear weight bias is a good thing.
Just curious, how much timing were you running when it blew up? I’ve got an ‘11 with a Gen 2R, 79mm pulley, and on 100 octane (pump gas + boostane), I’m running around 19* of timing. I’d like to go down to a 75mm, but I think I’m pushing my luck already lol.
I'm honestly not sure what the tuner was allowing for timing and unfortunately I didn't have an opportunity to datalog the car on that setup before it blew up. When I did the 321 swap I had asked Alex at Lund if I could run the 75mm on pump gas with the new setup and he said not unless I was consistently running 100+ octane. Do you tune your car yourself or do you have someone tuning it? I'd confirm with your tuner. The little bit of extra power I made on a 75mm wasn't worth the thousands it cost me to replace the motor 🙂
@@That_FN_Coyote_Car I’m tuned by VMP. They did say I “could” run a 75mm if I was running at least 100 octane, but big difference between “could” and “should” lol. Think I’ll just stick with the 79mm for now. I really want to try the 75mm, but would really rather not blow the car up. 😅
Looking good tonight! 👌
🙏@ProTreeVideos
great video bud
Thanks man! 👊
Just found your channel. Been enjoying the videos! 👍🏻
Thanks Cody! More to come, appreciate you watching 👍

Did you do the rear as well ?

@@codymiller1994 Smart man! 👍
F it remove the whole front clip. That’s allowed right? 🤣🤣🤣
Hard to keep track of what's allowed and what's not 🤣
@@That_FN_Coyote_Car I usually burn some sage and ask the ancestors for advice on these rules 🤣
