I have an iPad and windows laptop. It seems so expensive but i really need it to read my pdf textbook and annotate... And it's the only one that does live sync. I'm visually impaired so sometimes I have to bring my 16-inch laptop because my tablet screen is sometimes too small. but it looks like with liquid text it's not an issue. I' m trying to get caught up and my college campus is no help.
Hi i am looking for comparison with Marginnote4 vs Liquid text, I think you are the only person review both of them! What is main diffrence between them? I want to use it for studying. I am prepare for law school
i love the linking features between documents, it would benefit me a lot, but i’m not sure about purchasing this app bc its a lil costly an i have goodnotes already. what app with similar linking features would you suggest?
Probably the most useful feature (to me) is the live sync. I open liquid text on my iPad and Mac, and use the iPad version for handwriting and it appears almost instantly on Mac screen. Don’t understand why everyone seems to choose iPad to be their “primary” device for reading/learning, it’s so counterproductive when used on its own. Though Ipad works great in tandem with Mac, because Mac completely lacks handwriting capabilities.

@@relaxingflowerlover5373 I'm on the live 1GB plan. Yea, it is expensive and proving only 1GB of storage for that price is ridiculous. Although, I'm not a student, so it's not like I need to have a ton of books/documents there. Liquid text does have some discount for students though.
wonderful review-as always! thank you 🙏 what i'd like to know is how the files migrate between different apps: say i want to use LT for its strengths, but then want to open the file in margin note for its strengths…or…perhaps just open it in preview while i'm in a meeting or during a lecture. will i see LT's annotations and canvas etc? will some features be hidden (canvas) but others visible (highlights and comments)? if i open in MN to organize some ideas as a mindmap, then open back up in LT, will MN have deleted or corrupted all of LT's annotations or will just now see LT's annotations and not MN's? the best, of course, would be to see all apps' annotations (presumably uneditable), and the second best would be to see each app's in that creating app while not seeing them in different apps.. my fear with LT and all such apps is the capture of my data, making it unusable elsewhere or difficult to export, think MS word vs obsidian: proprietary file format vs plain text visible everywhere. your final comments at the end about export concern me 😜
Both LT and MN don’t create a universal format that remains interactive in other apps. All note-taking and PDF readers on the iPad don’t have that communication. So, once you choose an app, you have to stick with it. Sadly ☹️

Yes, it should if you have the version that syncs across devices. I would suggest you transfer all your contents to the new iPad if you can. Just to be sure

Great review, but I always prefer marginnote because of the more pleasant design and the ability to view my notes and maps on the iphone. Liquid text is trampling in place, except for liquid links, they could not come up with something original. It's a pity. They had potential.

The sync features had improved, though I have only tried it with a Mac. It’s not displaying errors like it used to before.

MarginNote is more complicated and takes a lot of time to learn. LT is much simpler, and a lot of lawyers like it. Hope that helps.

Most apps with such linking features are expensive. Flexcil is a baby-version of LT, though. Maybe you can look into that one.

Handwriting on the iPad is what made me try it to start with. But, I'll check out the Mac version of the app. You've made me curious

if we move from one ipad to another does , liquid text has the all stuff in old ipad in the new one when we transfer ?

Sadly, not really… that’s one of the pains of using Apple Notes
There are so many issues, scrolling is a nightmare (document on iPad ) the ocr comparing to apple live text is not usable.
Developers now a days kill their own product by doing these licensing gimmicks. Where u essentially don’t own the thing that u paid for
