I have the board. I lubed the switches. but ended up replacing them with the Akko Haze Pink. The stock caps are nice & all but they are a little clack. I have been looking for his Cherry blossom Kaps.... no joy. But I do have th eMITTO Canvas set & they sound VERY similar.. all in all a VERY worth while board for the $45 I paid for it last week.
After all these years and the rise of custom keyboards I still love the sound of the blue switches, like the ones on the 40$. Not many people seem to up for them, wspecially when making custom keyboards, probably because they're usually pretty loud, but something about the high-pitched crispy sound just makes me want to listen to someone typing on them all day.
For a moment there when I noticed his right thumb I thought that he had a giant, overgrow, green-yellowish nail on it! Then I realised it was just a band aid!
for 0:24, i'm considering buying this keyboard, and i'm a keyboard newbie, so do I have to lube them myself? kinda stupid question but just making sure
Keep up with the videos. I think you have a chance to go big. Video is straight to the point , classy, nice editing. Could you make a video on where to look and how to choose keycaps or lubes or bases. Something a beginner could do without soldering. Thanks
Hi Ty! Great video! I was looking for an affiliate link to purchase one of your recommended keyboards but didn't see it in the description. I'm sure I'm not the only one looking for it. :) I'd love to support your channel in this way (shopping through affiliate links). Please consider setting that up for yourself. :)
Ive got 8 keyboards so far, 3 are just meh red and blue switch keyboard whilst the other 5 are 75% bluetooth keyboards with cool features and amazing sound Gonna be grinding to get lke 30!
Did you buy all of them or were you sponsored and sent them by the company? how do you become eligible for sponsor anyway? Some TH-camrs with 500-1k subscribers are sponsored and sent the best limited keyboards for free....
I wouldn't factor keycap cost into the overall price of the board. Tofus have always been a budget case, so making it seem like a $300 keyboard isn't that accurate.
Adam and the $460 board are not too bad. The rest are very mid. It's honestly about personal preference but it can't be a coincidence that most of the high-end boards are loud and clacky.
okay stupid question, but does anyone know where i can buy the cherry blossom key caps? i found some milky yellow switches on amazon and i found board that i like, i just cant seem to find the cherry blossom key caps that he has in the video. please if anyone can help that would be amazing, thank you!
What kind of table is that? It looks like wood, but it could be scrap board or plastic. Feel like recording a sound test on straight wood is going to change the true sound a lot Nice vid
I have a solid wood desk, it sounds nothing like most sound tests as its not hollow, 0 desk sound leaving only the sound of the board & not the desk. There is no True sound.. Only the sound that could be called "true" would be the sound being recorded. as that is a very subjective thing.
I think the table he has is just a regular wooden one. It looks to me that it's one of those desks that are made from some thin pieces of wood. I have a plastic desk, which is somehow VERY slam-able/punch-able (Found out after slamming my desk out of rage after losing a CS match.) and whenever I use some type of plastic keyboard, or basically just any keyboard that is pretty lightweight, it makes this annoying thump-y bass-y sound (I don't mean by the casual thock sound everyone goes for in a mech-keeb.) whenever I type on my keyboard. I've resorted to using heavy, Aluminum keyboards after finding that out. And so, I've just wanted to ask; is there any desk anyone can recommend to me? (Quick side note as well, it has to be actually wooden, and not so slammable/punchable.)
Nice hobby taking pride in owning stuff and always looking for the next of whatever you already have more than enough of, one that's like a permanent expensive subscription. I use a Leopold Topre Silent, and it's the best out of the box keyboard even tried a 650 dollar ergonomic solution since it looked nice op paper but in reality had to many flaws, finding out the best on paper still couldn't beat the Leopold Topre Silent I'm contempt with what I have and there's no need for constantly looking for something better. If anything I can mod and lube it, but the board feels so good stock with 0 rattle that I don't even feel like touching it. Same goes for mouses, got a MX Master 3 coating completely scuffed but it's amazingly comfortable so no need to like a lot of people buy 2 mouses a year and things not being OCD perfect add to the atmosphere, stuff is being used. I don't blame people for this buying disease since they indoctrinated us from a young age to collect and spend to up dopamine making them money but at some point you have to break away from it and if anything spend that money on daily drivers or invest so 20 years from now you can also sit back instead of staring at that time 200 piece keyboard collection that's just sitting there.

The 70 dollar one is my fav I think. It's very soft and gentle. If I could I would buy it in a heartbeat.

250$ is making my insides tingle, it's so good.
All of them sound so satisfying
Bro is addicted to 40% boards
One of the best sounding from the whole video was the 70 dollars gas build, most of the boards in the 100 - 200 range were destroyed by it. Good video
The first $90 keyboard (the EPOMAKER EP68) sounds SOOOOO good
the space bar is so quiet, definitely a sleeper
ASMR: yay finally I found a good video for asmr coming from keyboards

Most are sent to me for review and such. I’ll still buy ones I really like though.
All except the first 2 sound good to me so I guess the the $70 is one I like best.
God! that 240$ one is the stuff of nightmares.

Where did you get your lil dragon from. I’ve been searching forever but can’t seem to find one
Amazing keyboarding keyboards
Have you modded the Lego keyboard? I ordered one and waiting for it to arrive
Mines basically completely stock, i added some rubber feet for the bottom and lubed the stabs with the included lube.
35 might just be my favourite
nice video, keep up the good work.
Can someone explain to me how the $138 keyboard at :48 even works?
How do you type numbers or Fn commands? I'm very interested in it.
I like 150 the most
