Azhagar is Coming!

This film is a musical journey of Lord Kalalagar when He visits the city of Madurai during the Chitrai Pournami festival to attend his sister's (Meenakshi) marriage to Lord Sundareshwarar. On reaching the banks of river Vaigai, Lord Alagar hears that His sister's marriage is over. He is furious and decides to return. On the way back, He meets and blesses all His devotees.
This film documents the entire travel begining from Alagar Koil till His return to His abode during week long festival period along with celebrations of large number of devotees.
The film follows Lord Kalalagar during the entire course of this journey juxtaposed are the folk songs as musical background which praises Lord Kalalagar's myths and legends during this trip to Madurai.
This festival happens annually during the tamil month of Chitirai (April-May)
