Please thank Tab for the Screen Space Shaders addon, he’s the one responsible for most of the graphics changes. Hippo is indeed a gigachad since he single-handedly remade all the weathers, balanced Colors and shadows and made very good reshade presets

I am in no way trying to be a negative nancy, however I doubt stalker 2 will be anything like gamma/efp/anomaly. The experience of these modpacks is unlike any other you can have. Something made by the players for the players. Dev teams haven't reached that point with a new release in almost a decade now, other than maybe from software. There's a reason modded versions created by communities for every game always surpass that of the original. It makes almost no sense from a corporate standpoint to release something tailored to such a small group. I think stalker 2 will be a good game for sure and a great story. But I would be wary of expecting a similar experience that these modpacks offer from stalker 2. The devs have families to feed and careers to work towards, you can see the effects of the current "state of gaming" on almost every new release in the past few years. Now if stalker 2 has similar systems to anomaly and gets opened up for modding that's another story and I have my fingers crossed.
@@arcane3419 That's my fear with Stalker 2. When they announced it I felt so much joy but as time passed I just get more and more worried that Anomaly/EFP/Gamma created and maintained such a high throne that Stalker 2 will not live up to those expectations... I hope im wrong
@@hollodron ANOMALY/GAMMA/EFT is not S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is not ANOMALY/GAMMA/EFT.
People like you guys will get disappointed if you compare the full game to the 400+ addons mod.
@@B.L.I.N.O.V. Yeah, it's weird seeing people compare these mod packs, which are tailored to a very specific experience or which try to achieve a specific feeling (Like Escape From Pripyat is to some extend trying to copy the feeling of EFT), to the real games.
There is obviously going to be a major difference between a bunch of mods which add onto a 16 year old franchise and the sequel which builds upon the same concept but with new ideas, proper modernized mechanics et cetera.
If we simply take base game STALKER (Be it SoC, CS or CoP) and compare it to any Anomaly mod pack then we are not even talking about the same game anymore. It's like people (including me) with Skyrim or Fallout. Most of us don't play the game for Skyrim or Fallout but for the modding possibilities which can be achieved within these mediums. They are barely the original game most often when you are done modding them. Sure, I can head to Helgen or Sanctuary and these locations still look like in the original game. But Maybe I made a hardcore survival mod pack with realistic damage & Dark Souls (or in F04 case, Call of Duty/Battlefield/EFT) combat. Doesn't really resemble the actual game though, does it? ;D
I think that a lot of people who have this opinion like Hollodron or Arcane haven't really played the OG games or base game Anomaly and have therefore never experienced what true (or close to true) S.T.A.L.K.E.R is.

Stalker has always been a love/hate thing for me. It's probably been my favourite game ever because of the atmosphere and immersion, but the bugs drove me insane. The community that brought us Anomaly, Gamma and countless mods have made this unbelievable. Not bad for a 16 year old game. Awsome😊
As someone who has never played a stalker game which one would you recommend I get into? I like how this video looks like Tarkov (which was way to complex/difficult for me) with this mod and its peaked my interest.
@@adrianchavez1747 I highly suggest buying and playing the first 3 offical games first, yes they are super duper old but they are good in their own right. This is important to understand the basic narrative and lore of Stalker. this is so that you get familiar with some of the base game mechanics as Stalker Anomaly and its modpacks (like EFP 4.0 seen in this video right here) are sandboxes instead of multiple ending semi-immersive sim like main stalker games and the sandbox of Anomaly doesn't teach you anything about the game or the world without requiring you to dive in or have previous knowledge as it assumes you are a stalker fan who has played the original 3 games.

I hope they mod Metro Exodus into a more open world game than what it could have been. Lovely showcase. The main issue I find in such graphical overhauls is the dense vegetation, because AI is able to see and shoot through but I'm not. Maybe the skill issue.

i think there is a mod that prevents ai from seeing trough grass and stuff but not so sure if it was this game or if i am mixing up the game lol (last time i played this game is 1 or 2 years ago)
@@baumapfel4463 in GAMMA there is one but it's disabled by default. Search in MO2 for 'npc cant see through foliage' and enable it.
Bit of a long shot, but how did you get the gun at 5:12 ? It looks like an M4 but I can't seem to get the same look for that gun.

I really hope we gonna get mods for STALKER 2 to make it feel more like what we have now, just with more things. I cant wait. This looks so good. Warms my heart to see what this community does. And cant wait to see what developers of STALKER 2 are going to make.

Just based off that short teaser for the energy drinks its clear they are taking notes, full on drink animations, think everything will be animated, stalker 2 is probably not ignoring what the community has done. Its obviously not gunna be a massive 15 year sandbox as gamma is but its probably still gunna be amazing, and honestly I can't wait to enjoy some actual good story again in stalker.

I wish modders implemented Path tracing into X-Ray engine, that would be a true game changer.
My laptop started ramping up the fans from the sheer thought of running something like this. lol
STALKER 2 really needs to shine when it comes out. I hope throughout all the years of graphical enhancements and immersive gameplay mods in the original 3 STALKER games that GSC won't downgrade the sequel, because the original games were far from perfect when they initially released, and I at least hope they are seriously taking feedback from modders to make STALKER 2 look as amazing as a game that is 15-20 years old with all these great mods!!
Far from perfect definitely. But the original games are also 16 years old and back then were made by a (fairly) small studio. I think it will definitely be a good game, but if people expect a G.A.M.M.A 2 or Escape From Pripyat 2 instead of a S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 then they will be extremely disappointed. G.A.M.M.A et cetera are specifically tailored experiences. They are not necessarily S.T.A.L.K.E.R anymore but they rather take that concept of S.T.A.L.K.E.R and make it into their own experience which isn't THE S.T.A.L.K.E.R experience.

Sadly, modern AAA games are shit nowadays, so I don't really have high hopes for STALKER 2. I mean, it have chances to be a decent game, but I don't think it will surpass an original.

Bro at the beggining of the video (around 0:20) what scope mod do you use? That one isn't in vanilla Gamma 0.9. Also I saw at other ytbers that they had a double scope type (acog + red dot above it).

Do you play your 200-300 mods on top of anomaly? Would you recommend to gamma or EFP or just anomaly? I'm completely new and willing to put in some work to get the game up and running, but I would like to just have the "best mods" along with these graphic ones to give me the best list of guns/gear/ must have mods that will work together and not crash the game or worse cause me to get a good portion into the game and have it crash..

I feel like i have a pretty decent rig (Ryzen 9 5900x12-core running at 3.7ghz, 64gigs of ram and an Nvidea 3080) and my game doesnt look nearly as pretty as yours. I feel like it might just be a settings issue. Not that my game looks bad but you have that extra "oomph" that makes it look incredible and im dying to experience that. took me ages just to get water puddles working lol

Breathtaking visuals, though in some shots, some of the textures seemed to have an almost pastel or cel-shaded (if that's the right term) look to them. Wondering if this is an intended artistic interpretation of the zone - not that I didn't like it, but it made it seem less photorealistic even if it is perhaps technically superior in terms of texture resolution compared to vanilla. Thoughts?
Not all of them where changed. Unfortunately, Anomaly desperatily needs texture modders, and the one who did these is Ukranian.. We haven´t heard from him in a while. Hope he is good
Can somebody explain me how the fps looks so "smooth" on his video? I have about 100fps in ultra settings, but the fps does not feel that "smooth" like in this video. Thanks for help!
Are you ONLY using EFP/Atmospherics here or do you have any other texture packs or anything installed? I have EFP+Atmospherics and then later added ADEGA but yours still looks different. What are you running here, especially at 4:00?

@CUSTERPLAYS hey... so I agree but also disagree. First, ton of thanks because one of your videos is the entire reason I started STALKER last year (did the whole thing -SoC, CS, CoP, and then a long Anomaly Expedition playthrough all back to back. So yeah, your videos are awesome.
Now regarding this one, I rewatched the whole thing and yes you did indicate there was a guide linked below. What I am saying is that I followed the guide you linked (several times actually) and while yes, mine looks awesome and almost the same, there were still some differences between mine and yours that I was hoping to figure out. So I guess my question is do you have any more texture packs or shavers or grass mods, etc. Over top of what Hippo outlines in his most recent EFP installation video?
@@AngrySmasher For Grass i am using Ayden´s grass which is the same he is using. ADEGA textures, like he stated. Your colors might look different because of post processing effects i added. Just add more contrast on your monitor and you should be good to go mate :)

how do you get your game to run so smooth? I have a good system myself ($2000), but when I tried gamma, it just didn't run all that smooth (yes I tried the fixes) and the micro stuttering really turned me off of it. Also would love to know the weapon mods you use!

The only thing Stalker is missing IMO is a mesh mod for all the structures and props in the game to make the corners of building and other stuff less perfect and sharp.

Have you seen Expedition 2.3 the reshade is kinda bad, but i desactivated all the reshade options and and it looks amazing. Completely different art style than hippos atmospherics

- in absolute, yes, we all want it to be good
- in relative statement to Anomaly : both are different projects and should absolutly not be compared. Stalker 2 is only, and only the follow up of the main games. Anomaly is on a totally different scope, goals and design, and it's important to make people realize that, as a LOT of people play anomaly today without knowing the original 3 games, which isn't a problem by itself, but may (and is already) causing confusion about expaction with Stalker 2. It's important !

Are u using GAMMA? They have a fix on MO2. i had some stutter and locking to 60fps really helped

@@CusterPlays thanks , I was testing several configurations, and I got a spectacular result combining majestic and hippo
