I'm loving these tutorials and I really fancy having a try for my friends house, Thank you for sharing 🙂. I managed a wood based basket and the log basket last weekend. The only thing I'm not sure of is what thickness sheet wood you're using in a lot of the tutorials, unless I'm missing it while watching 😳. How would I choose which to pick?
I absolutely love your tutorials. They have inspired me to create so much for my dolls house! Would you by any chance have any tips on doing bunk beds..? Many thanks.
Thank you Carrie, I'm so glad you're having fun making your own furniture. I have been asked for bunk beds a few times now, so it is on my ever growing list!
Your work is truly amazing! I have managed to make bunk beds (I’d love to send you a photo but not sure how). I’m quite pleased with it as a first attempt but nowhere near as neat as your work. I definitely missed having the exact measurements and your tutorial taking me through it. And I think the length of your videos are perfect. You can’t get items as lovely as yours by missing details! Please keep going, looking forward to your next video 😁
I'm so glad you decided to have a go and I would love to see. You can email me a photo at: julie@littlebitsandpiecesbyjulie or if you're on Facebook, send me a message, the page is at: facebook.com/littlebitsandpiecesbyjulie Thanks Carrie.
Nice project - which may mean I need to create a new project myself as these pieces will not fit in my 1842-1941 dated Townhouse re-creation. Hmm, maybe a "time-traveler" holiday home, say in a renovated cottage in Cornwall? You are so creative, I wish I had met your channel before I started my house................
My problem is that the house I am building is date specific (1842 to 1941) - you have so many wonderful projects that I would love to attempt, but fear that some will not fit my time frame (though your interpretations of classic pieces certainly will). So I suppose I shall have to plan a second project! On the other hand, it has taken me 50 years to get THIS obsession started, I don't think I'll have the time to do a second one! Maybe I'll do some of your builds and just admire my "Julie" inspired handiwork on a shelf.........Thanks again!
Do you prefer using bass wood or Obeche wood? Just curious which you prefer for miniatures for both strength to hold up and also grain in wood scale for miniature furniture?
Hi Julie , wanted to start some wood projects but I don’t have room or a desire for large or industrial equipment, i would love to know more about the little saw you use since it looks perfect for me Kind regards
It's called a razor saw and I use it along with a miniature mitre block. I am currently searching for a supplier of these, and all the other tools I use, to sell in my Etsy store, but in the meantime, if you just search Google or Ebay, you should be able to find one. Thanks Harry,
My favorite utuber! Thank you Julie
Thanks you, that's lovely to hear. :)
@@JulieWarren I’m so happy watching your videos so relaxing
I love your glueing technique. Since doing the same I have no more mess. No glue everywhere.
Thanks Tina. I'm glad you found that tip helpful. :)
@@JulieWarren all your tips help.

Thank you George. A holiday home sounds wonderful.

Thank God miniature artists are not bound by Victorian shackles! You are a godsend Julie, thank you!
I agree - otherwise I would have nothing to stuff into my 1842 Post-Victorian - which will definitely feature some of Julie's classic pieces!!!!
Thank you John.

I use mainly Obeche for furniture and bass wood for smaller pieces, because, like you say, of the closer grain.
What a nice little set! Will you make any outdoor furniture?
Thanks Niva. I had thought about doing a garden bench, it's on my list...
Could you do a fold up beach deckchair please?
Ooh, that's a tricky one...but leave it with me! :)
