Thank you for NOT getting rid of a very beautiful, sweet and loving cat with pee issues 😭 I went the route of just getting rid of my rugs completely 😂 but that’s just cause I’m lazy and didn’t want to have to keep cleaning them hahaha you’re awesome Rachel! But you already knew that lol
You need an enzyme based cleanser for urine clean up. I swear by resolve urine destroyer for initial clean up then pooph to get the smell out(my previous dog had a lot of incontinence issues towards the end of his life so I have a master’s degree in cleaning up animal urine)

The kid and pet spray from Walmart is the BEST!!! It has enzymes in it to help throughly clean and get the stains and smell out. You can even use it in the bathroom to clean.

You should put peppermint or lavender oil on cotton balls and put then in your filter and use the vacuum cleaner! It helps so much @rachel
Hey, Rachel, just ahead up that washer fluid. If you filled up your whole entire tank of it. It is going to leave a weird film on your truck windshield after it is left in the vehicle for longer than needed in a snowy condition state. Don't freak out when you see a little droplets that are left on the windshield from it when it starts warming back up. I'm from a snowy state and wouldn't warm up. I still had some of that left over. And it left little droplets that were very oily kind of consistency. You just have to flush it out by completely either draining out of your tank reservoir and then filling your wash your fluid back up with just the general one.
Rachel, try diluted distilled vinegar! It was a god send for my cat who kept urinating on a chair and the bedroom floor. I did a 1:4 ratio of vinegar to water and sprayed it across every surface that had been urinated on, let it set for 10-15 minutes then wiped/mopped it up. Neutralizers and baking soda did not work for me. It was only the vinegar that finally took care of the smell both for me and for the cat so they didn't go back again to it.

Rachel I use M.BARC Naturals Dog and Cat Urine & Odor Destroyer but it’s a spray for floors. It works wonders and has a pleasant smell. Not sure if there is a powder for the tug though
I did the same thing with my vacuum but it was a Dyson fluffy head. Didn't see the pee, vacuumed straight through it and spread it all over the (luckily) hard floors. I had to replace the vacuum head 😢 because after repeated washing I could still smell it.

Where I used to live had a rubble crawl space under the kitchen and when a dog moved into the house one cat retreated there. She peed there for weeks and the smell wafted up. When she finally came out, I sprayed vinegar in there and the smell went away. It works. Don't spend money when you don't have to.
Have you tried the feliway plug ins for the kitty? It sprays their pheromones and helps keep them calmer
Put a little powder laundry soap in the vacuum canister. I've also used the wash beads

CARPET TIP! Get a Riggable, they even have a shag, and it’s all washable. Also use Foley, carpet cleaner, that shit can get rid of anything.
The vacuum brush/bristles! Clean those. :D Again, for general pet and house cleaning get a spray bottle from Lowe's or Walmart, do half water and vinegar. I know this and it's safe with reptiles (I use it for my bearded dragons Diva and Rebel) it's affordable and not harsh on the environment. Remember NO BLEACH on cat pee.
It could be the foot of the vacuum that is the culprit. Not the filters. If you didnt clean the foot when you took it apart it may have some small amounts of cat pee still on it and when the vacuum runs it sucks up the smell and distributes it. Also im not sure if u can get it in the states but there is a No Vac pet deodoriser that you can buy here in NZ. You spray it on the carpet and it foams up then over time soaks into the carpet. Its fantastic at breaking down the odour and then you just go over the area with a carpet cleaner a few hrs later to remove staining.

Look into Ruggable rugs! They are machine washable and I absolutely love mine!
My vacuum has a third filter that is accessed from a tiny tab on the front. It rarely needs cleaning. See if perhaps you missed one. :)

Those diffusers are actually super useful and special cuz they're not about taking scent away that you can smell there about pumping a specific hormone into the air that mother cats apparently secrete that make baby cats feel calm and less stressed and more comfortable. Just want to make sure that you understand we're not talking about hunan scent diffusers we're talking about these very specific cat and or dog specific diffusers that help keep them calm.
White vinegar is good at neutralizing odor too. Used it when I had rabbits in the house.

my cat went thru a short phase of peeing outside of his litter box... i bought some special spray to get rid of the smell and discourage him from peeing in the same spot again. As apparently a lot of cats will pee in the same spot once they start... Maybe you could try her on a special Urinary Care food, see if that helps, she might be prone to crystal build up as my cat is...

For the day things I'm pretty sure that in the nordic countries it's named after the nordic gods. So here Wednesday and thursday is called onsdag and torsdag which means Odins day and Thors day pretty much. And then I don't remember the rest lmao
Vacuum put a bounce tumble dryer sheet inside your Vacuum. You will get the bounce smell throughout the Vacuum then.

The best cat pee odour neutraliser I've come across is vinegar. Cheap and 100% works. Spray it, leave it for an hour or so, then wash down with soapy water.

Cat pee smell comes out more when it gets warm or damp (humidity). When the vacuum heats up, the smell comes out... maybe? As for the rug, have you checked in to those rugs you can put in the washer (ruggable)?

Have you thought about a Ruggable rug for the living room?
With pets it has been a life saver, throw it in the wash with a urine enzyme cleaner and comes out like brand new!!!

Try the pet store they have sprays made for cat pee. It's really good I cleaned my carpet with it. Go to the pet store they got you covered

Buy Rocco & Roxie Enzyme cleaner. Works miracles!!
You will have to probably get a new vacuum. You can not clean the motor in it and once the ammonia in urine sticks to it and you can not get it out.

Is your litter box tall enough? I have a female cat and she was peeing outside the box and it ended up that she was in the box and just peed high and it was going outside the box. I got a taller box with a cover and that fixed it. Now I just have a litter robot and it’s amazing! Also maybe you transitioned her box to a new place too quickly before she was comfortable in the house. Could also be that she was handed off to too many home prior to you and that makes her anxious. Also I’ve commented soooooo many times, buy enzyme cleaner to clean the urine. It’s literally the only thing that will get rid of the smell. It actually has live bacteria that eat the urine or any other things aka poop and barf 😂 and it completely eliminates the odor.
Also the Rocco and Roxie one is really great but I usually just buy the gallon jug of the Amazon brand

My mind's has been out of whack lately because I've been dealing with this disease Cerebral Palsy. I'm going to be dealing for the rest of my life. Anyways, keep the cat and the dogs because the pets are like having a family but they're actual animals and not humans. Which's is a much cuter than a human family. Which's is cuter puppies or babies?!?

You need to clean up the pee with a cleaner that has an enzyme to get rid of the smell. Even if you can't smell it she can.
